The property was beautiful and had lots of space for our family of 6 to spread out! We enjoyed the privacy and the gorgeous view! Our kids spent lots of time catching shrimp and fish from the dock. Normandie and Michael were very friendly and attentive hosts. We appreciated all the house necessities they provided. We would definitely recommend their lovely home!

Simply Beautiful

Simply beautiful!!! We really enjoyed the awesome view, especially while having breakfast on the screen porch. This quiet location is just a wonderful getaway.

Weekend trip

We loved this home, it was a perfect fit for our large family. It was nice having 3 bathrooms and an outdoor shower too. Home owners were extremely nice! View was wonderful!

Perfect getaway

Wonderful getaway! The home was great for us...two families that consisted of 4 adults and six kids. Plenty of room for gathering together and still able to have personal space. The dock was amazing. Fishing for croaker with the added bonus of catching two small sharks and a ray! Definitely a place to make wonderful family memories ❤️

Lovely cottage

This was such a wonderful place to meet with my family. There was plenty of space- inside and out. The house is charming and had everything we needed. The location- off the beaten path, gave us privacy and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Owners are wonderful, and if you just want a quiet spot to read, there are plenty of those as well as reading material galore! I highly recommend!

A Peaceful Getaway

We had such a wonderful time. The house has such beautiful views, all throughout, upstairs and down. A truly peaceful location. We really enjoyed the screen porch where we had all of our meals. With short trips to the Cape, and Wade shore, this property is definitely worth visiting again. The property owners were wonderful as well. Thank you so much for sharing this little piece of Heaven

Quiet and relaxing!

We had an awesome stay here for a week being by the water was an awesome view to wake up to and beautiful to watch in the evening. Different screened in porch was our favorite place we spent a lot of time there and ate all of our meals there. This house is conveniently located and is about 15 to 20 minutes away from everything. We enjoyed fishing off the dock every morning noon and night as well as my girls enjoyed it too

Property outside is beautiful!! House was stocked with everything you need, lots of towels and linens. The beds all need new mattresses and frames. The frame on our bed was so loud every-time you moved. House is definitely dated and musty... but didn't bother us but could for someone else staying on property.

Thanks for letting me know about those issues, Stephen. We needed to change out the attic fan, and have just done that today, so that should help with the issue of extreme heat outside coming up against air conditioned cold inside. The fan should suck out that attic heat. I will also check out replacing the beds now that I know they're disturbing. I'm sorry you had to experience issues while staying in the cottage.

Couldn't Ask For A Better Family Vacation

This past week was one of the best vacations my family has every taken. The owners of this property are the nicest people. They provide more than you could ever ask for with this property. The use of kayaks, a grill complete with a bag of charcoal, crab traps, and so much more. We all loved crabbing and fishing off of the dock. The property is located so close to so many attractions. We can't wait to come back. Thank you Normandie and Michael for letting us stay at your amazing cottage.

perfect get-away

Most rental vacation places we've stayed have been sterile and stripped of any real personal touches. This hostess is an author, and books, puzzles and games abound in this house. Fun things like kayaks, fishing gear and binoculars, were available. And considerations, like coffee and laundry detergent, were provided. We had a wonderful vacation and would like to come again!

Quiet and peaceful

Normandie and Michael went out of there way to accommodate an 81 year old we had with us that is disabled and had a special need. They are so pleasant and easy to talk to. We throughly enjoyed our stay. It was the most relaxing and peaceful vacation we have ever had. Our 12 year old daughter caught a skate fish and was quite excited over that and had a lot of fun looking for shells and lizards.

Great family trip to a beautiful, quiet place

Our family visited for a long weekend and had a wonderful time! The house was clean and very well kept with all the things we needed. The private location on the creek is outstanding. Normandie was a great host and available to answer any questions we had. Our boys loved fishing and cast netting from the awesome dock and caught lots of different types of fish. The coastal views across the creek and the quiet location were highlights. We ferried from Harker’s Island to Cape Lookout for a fun beach day. We also drove to Beaufort for lunch and Fort Macon beach access for another great day where my daughter loved seeing dolphins. Overall, we loved the house and the activities there and nearby and would love to visit again!

Spacious Cottage on Beautiful Cove

This is a wonderful property. Charming cottage with three levels. The entire third level is a newer renovation. Very spacious. Main bedroom downstairs floods with light in the morning. The view outside is beautiful! Private setting but the owner lives right next door so any needs that arise are taken care of quickly. Nice pier for fishing and you should definitely make use of the two kayaks for paddling around the cove. The large screened-in porch is great for relaxing and enjoying time go by at a much slower pace.

We had such a fun stay here and loved how close the water and doc is to the house and porch. Everything was available just as stated in the Description and we enjoyed full use of the Kayaks, grill and doc for fishing and relaxing. So much history and books available so you will find something to read if you like. Normandie and Michael were wonderful and it felt like being home away from home. We'll definitely plan to return.

We had such a fabulous stay at this beautiful waterfront cottage! My husband and I loved the quiet, peaceful setting, while our two little girls were enchanted by all the surrounding wildlife — from a peacock strolling past the yard one morning to a pair of nesting ospreys off the dock, and even a sweet little kitty under the porch. What truly made the experience so special were the owners, who were incredibly kind, welcoming, and thoughtful from start to finish. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and their warmth made us feel right at home. We also had so much fun exploring nearby Beaufort and spending time at the beach. This was a wonderful weekend for our family, and we would absolutely love to come back!

Family gathering

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is beautiful, with access to the water right at the dock! All amenities were there, and the agent was very attentive. We had a 21' Southern Skimmer that had no problem leaving the dock! We hope to schedule another vacation here!

Family vacay

Property was very clean and plenty of room for the 7 of us. The kids and guys loved fishing off the dock and watching all the different birds flying around. Normandie was very helpful and interesting to talk to! We would love to come back to this same place again!
