Loved that it was very private and secluded. Fairly close to all park attractions. Roomy and comfortable. Fire pit area and hot tub were a plus. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-day stay! The home was comfortable, cozy, and nicely laid out for our family. Our kids especially loved the log cabin feel and, of course, the hot tub!During our stay, we did experience a power outage due to a storm, but the host was incredibly quick to respond and was very helpful throughout the situation-giving us approx. time of restoration and offered to bring any supplies we needed from town. He even came up to the homes himself and started clearing debris.This was our first trip to the Hocking Hills area, and the cabin was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We had a wonderful time, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back! The fact that the home is pet friendly was also a huge plus for us and made the trip even better. Highly recommend!

We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed the cabin- hot tub, giant jenga, hammock chairs and fire pit. Would definitely stay here again and explore the area more.

The cabin was rustic, well maintained, and well cleaned. We all enjoyed the peace and quiet of the woods. The property was beautiful and I quite enjoyed sitting on one of the many decks and listening to the birds.

We stayed for 3 nights with the intention of day hiking and then resting in the evening. The cabin had the accommodations necessary for our family. It was clean, check-in was easy, and the owner was quick to respond. We really enjoyed our stay!

Bed linens were filthy, rest was clean and nice. Cookware in very poor condition. Was absolutely beautiful location.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the beautiful location and found the rest of the cabin clean and nice. I was very surprised to read the comment about the bed linens, as all linens are washed and changed between every stay. Had we been contacted during the stay, we would have done our best to address the concern at that time rather than learning about it afterward. We’ll also take a closer look at the cookware and replace anything that is showing too much wear. We always appreciate feedback that helps us keep the cabin in great shape for future guests. Thank you again for staying with us.

After a fantastic weekend away at the Cardinal lodge, my family and I were very sorry to see it through our rear view mirror. Everything about the property was outstanding, Our host was exceedingly accommodating, and very responsive to any questions that arose. I would highly recommend this property and any others he may manage to anybody thinking about renting. The Property was amazingly clean, All of the things that you need in the kitchen were there. Only thing we needed to supply was food. Everything else was available to us. There was a gorgeous view of the night sky, such that it wasn't necessary for us to travel to the nearby observatory, we could take it in from the rear porch. There's a spectacular spot just outside the cabin. Stayed away for bonfire, include seating and fire pits. Was a spectacular evening spent there. Large size Blackstone griddle on the rear porch with all needed tools was a welcome treat and made short work of breakfast and dinner for a family of six. The internet there cell coverage in the area is very spotty, at least for us. However, the supplied Wi-Fi internet was fast and collected well with the various devices that we brought with us. Smart TV has all the streaming apps along with downstairs second living area. If you could call it that,, my boys were thrilled with the Sega Genesis that was downstairs as well as the blueberry player.All in all it was a spectacular weekendI look forward to returning in the future.

Directions were great! Host gave very prompt responses before and during our stay. The cabin was very tidy. Be sure to bring mixing bowls and baking pans, if needed. Great water pressure in showers and plenty of hot water!

We do keep baking sheets and mixing bowls in the kitchen, but sometimes items can be easy to miss depending on what guests are preparing. Wonderful stay

We enjoyed the hot tub, Blackstone, and hiking trails on site! Great cabin away from the city! Short drive to the state park. Cabin had everything we needed and more!

Great place

Great place to stay. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the facility. Pet friendly, our two dogs loved this cabin and the surroundings.

Very clean and peaceful cabin in a quiet location. Owner responded promptly to any questions we had during our stay and about the area. The long stone road over hills to get there was a little tricky to navigate if not an experienced driver.
