1400 sq ft house with 78 feet of private beach on sunset side of Black Lake.
Main house: 2 bedrooms with queen beds, master bedroom has additional twin bed plus futon in loft.
Above detached garage: 1 bedroom with queen bed, 1 bedroom with bunk bed that sleeps 2 on bottom and 1 on top.
2 full baths in main house. Upstairs master bedroom has private full bath.
Open concept living-dining-kitchen with seating at island and dining table.
Leave the city behind and come enjoy the beauty and activities of Black Lake and surrounding area. Our lakefront home is on 78 feet of Black Lake frontage with sandy private beach, campfire pit, and dock for your boat. Black Lake is shallow with sandy bottom and perfect for swimming and water fun. Enjoy spectacular sunsets and campfires after a day of swimming, fishing, and boating. We have 2 kayaks for your use.
You can ride your 4-wheeler, side-by-side, dirt bike, or snowmobile to beautiful Black Mountain trails right from the house. Plenty of room to park your boat, ATV, and/or snowmobile trailers. Other nearby activities/attractions include Ocqueoc Falls, UAW Black Lake championship golf course, Awakon Park (art/sculptures), Onaway State Park (bike/walking distance), Mackinac Island, cross country skiing, and Cross in the Woods and Big Bear Adventures in Indian River.

The house was perfect for us (4 adults and 5 kids aged 5-11). The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and had a large pantry for all our non-perishable foods. Donna is a great host and truly enjoys hosting family gatherings (we stayed a full week). We also liked having two bedrooms over the garage. The night owls slept there and the early birds slept in the main house. Lastly we enjoyed relaxing on the deck and the ample supply of firewood for campfires and s’mores

This place was absolutely amazing. Stunning sunset right off the back porch. The hosts went above and beyond for us and are wonderful people. Definitely going to be heading back up, great lake for the littles.

Family vacation
My family and I stayed at the lake house for a week. Great location, nice beach and the house was extremely nice and very clean. We will definitely stay here again. Great hosts!

Relaxing Black Lake Retreat
My extended family and I loved this location on Black Lake. It's close to activities we enjoy but allows for private and relaxing time by the lake.

Black Lake House in Onaway

We had a great time at the lake house. Beautiful sunset views graced our evenings each night we sat by the fire pit. The house was clean and looked just like the pictures in the advertisement. Everything worked well and we hand no issues. The owners were great and easy to work with. Even the neighbors were nice!

Great Week Up North
We had eight people who stayed at beautiful Black Lake for a week. The house and property were fantastic and everyone was comfortable. Donna was a wonderful host.

Relaxing getaway
We had a wonderful week. Very quiet and peaceful, with stunning sunsets.
Cottage was perfect for 2 couples. Super clean, comfy beds and well stocked kitchen.
Water is crystal clear, with hard sandy bottom and shallow for 2 football fields.

Quiet and peaceful
Very peaceful, everyone is friendly and very helpful. Weather was not on our side but we were able to catch some fish and see the sites.

Spectacular sunset view
We four adults had a great week! House was well-stocked for cooking in, and clean. Beds were comfortable. We had campfires most nights with amazing fiery sunsets. Our first time to Black Lake- we were blown away by how quiet it is compared to their lakes we’ve visited. Water so clear and clean, too. We will be back.

Wonderful cottage!
My whole family and I had a great time during our week at Donna and Glenn’s cottage! They were very easy and friendly to work with. We loved that it came with two kayaks and a nice fire pit by the lake! My son loved the little beach area where he could dig and play for hours. The cottage was very clean and spacious for my whole family. Beautiful sunsets on the lake! We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Lovely house on the water!
We had a great time for all involved, property was well kept. The beach was a little durty and the grass was long, but that was due to an extenuating circumstance on the owners side. The only downside would be the lack of AC in the over the garage rooms and the extra cleaning fee if you use them.
