A Pure Michigan getaway awaits you Up North at Black Lake. Your 4-season recreation destination located on the (west) sunrise side of Black Lake, private drive. Our "up north" well appointed three bedroom Lakehouse.
-2 night min.
-Weekly: Memorial weekend - Labor Day Weekend
-Longer stays welcome
The Lakehouse has 3 bedrooms (Queen beds, side tables with lamps, dressers, closets and TV's) and 1 full bathroom with accommodations for six (6) guests. Open concept living-dining-kitchen has plenty of common area seating inside and outside with breathtaking views. Laptop friendly workspace overlooking the lake.

Linens and bath towels are also included. Washer and dryer. WiFi provided. Starter pack of toilet paper and paper towels provided.

The large open kitchen is equipped with a full size oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven, 10 cup coffee pot, toaster, dishes, cookware and cooking accessories. A gas barbecue grill and patio table is also provided for cooking outdoors. Dock and platform plus two kayaks.
Restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and tackle shops nearby - Plus UAW Family Education Center and Golf Club 5 minutes away. Blue-Ribbon trout streams, lake sturgeon, walleye, muskie, perch and pike fishing. All-Sports Rentals available from area vendors. Black Lake is a beautiful, 10,000 acre lake and right outside your door. Enjoy swimming, sunbathing, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, biking, hiking or just relaxing on our private beach and dock. Fabulous 4 season trails. Have a cookout on the patio under a canopy of trees, and watch the sunrise/sunset over a bonfire, coffee and s'mores. Oh, the anticipation!!
Day trips to Black Mountain Recreation: ATV-ORV trails, Mountain/trail, biking, X-Country skiing, snowmobiling. Mackinac Island, Inland Waterway boating & fishing, Elk Viewing - Pigeon River Country, Ocqueoc Falls, Sinkholes, Festivals & Events, Casino's, and Shopping.
50% down at booking, balance due within 30 days of arrival. 30 day cancellation window. Saturday Check-in 4pm, Check-out 11am. Smoking permitted outside only. ID/Must be 25 yo +. Pet friendly- $50 pet fee.

Perfect Vacation Cottage

This property is the perfect lake cottage. Great open floor plan, clean (no “cottagey” smell), beautiful décor, quality bedding and towels (and plenty of them), every gadget you can think of, ceiling fans in every room and the window a/c kept us comfortable on the hot days. The patio areas are wonderful for outside dining or just gazing at the lake, quiet neighborhood, lots of toys and games for kids and adults. We saw a bald eagle on our first day and the ducks kept our dog entertained. This cottage has everything you’re looking for to enjoy a fun vacation. Two golf courses nearby – Black Lake GC is very challenging, Rippling Rapids is a country style course and great for every type of golfer. Two nearby restaurants we enjoyed were the Dirty Duck, and Lorenzos (but make sure you call to see what days they’re open). Brenda and Gil, thank you for sharing your wonderful cottage, and we look forward to returning someday.

Black Lake vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Home was clean and decorated nicely. Swimming is great as there is a sandy bottom and it’s shallow for quite a ways out, so excellent if you have dogs or children. Great communication with the hosts. I would recommend this property if you are looking for a place on Black Lake.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our week at Black Lake! The neighbors were very friendly, the cottage was quaint and quiet and matched the listing well. We were able to enjoy swimming in the shallow water from the dock, fishing and tubing from our own boat (with bumper pads on the dock for tying down), as well as fishing in the river/channel on the other side of the cottage. The whole lake was lit up with fireworks on July 4th and we enjoyed many campfires as well. The week flew by and we had loads of fun!

Peaceful and beautiful

Very nice loacation right on the water of Black Lake. Very nicely decorated and very well stocked with all the essencials. Fire pit was a plus and we saw an abundance of wildlife. Black squirel, ducks with babies, geese with babies, a pair of loons and the best a flock of Trumpter swans. Close distance to a varity of sites and food. Would rent again the hosts were very easy to work with.

Black Lake

Very clean and beautiful home. As advertised on VRBO this house was awesome. Loved the patio, docks and fire pit. Added bonus was the Northern Lights and a bald eagle flying over the lake in front of the house looking for food. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful setting, incredibly clean home

Had a great weekend here. The house is no frills but doesn’t need to be. It is unbelievably clean and well kept, and the natural beauty all around it provides all the frills you could possibly want. The kitchen is ACTUALLY well stocked and it’s clear the hosts have put a lot of care into ensuring that every guest feels welcome and at home.

Peaceful and relaxing

Careful thought has been put into this home. It has everything you would need for a stay at a lake home! It is beautifully decorated. Kudos to the owners for all the essentials at this home from life jackets to binoculars to soaps and pantry items! We enjoyed this home very much!!

My boys and I get together once a year with no wives or kids to catch up and fish. the location and house was great. the owner stopped in to see if we needed anything and pointed us in the right direction to catch fish. great time.

Lake cottage

Gil and Brenda were very thoughtful with adding extra touches to the cottage that made it feel like a home away from home. The are is very peaceful and quiet. It was a quintessential up north getaway.

Beautiful and Peaceful

Our stay at Black Lake was wonderful. The location is great, close to activities, but far enough removed to feel the quietness and nature. We enjoyed several meals grilling on the patio and sitting by the dock enjoying the beautiful sights and sounds. The house itself is cozy and provided the perfect oasis for our family. We’d love to visit again.

Baby Goslings & Sunrises on the Water

The Lake House was a perfect location for us. We have family close by on the lake. The house is accurately presented on the VRBO site. A very peaceful setting and Gil & Brenda were great hosts. With luck we will be back in the not-too-distant future!

Relaxing GetAway

We absolutely love this Lake House. It's cozy yet spacious, very clean & welcoming. Location is perfect. Easy to find and lots to do around the area. Plenty of boat launches to choose from and strong sturdy dock in front of the cabin..... Great Place to Stay!
