This charming 3-bedroom Lakehouse sits on the sunrise side of Black Lake with private beach access, a dock, firepit, BBQ grill and breathtaking views. A four-season destination for outdoor lovers, families, couples, and remote workers — just a short drive to Mackinaw City and surrounded by trails, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling.

The place is nice, price is reasonable relative to others, beautiful sunrises on the lake. Our 3 nights here were great and got to see one amazing sunrise

Brenda was wonderful. She answered all the questions that I had quickly. This house has the million dollar View. Take a ride on one of the two kayaks that are provided to enjoy the view even more. You must get up early to experience the fabulous sunrise right out the living room window. Black lake does have the best sunsets and sunrises I’ve ever seen. If you’re looking for an up north experience you can’t go wrong with this place. This is my second time renting this home and I will be back next year. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us.

Place was perfect! Our only wish was that the water was deeper at dock to have been able to have boat right there to easily go in and out. We had to put in at boat ramp every time. Not a big deal but that is the only thing that would have made our stay perfect. Water would be great for younger children to easily play and not have to worry. We had a great time paddle boarding and fishing. Only couple rain days and have no control over crazy weather. Just turned those into game days! Spent one day on Mackinac Island made trip complete!

Relaxing GetAway

We absolutely love this Lake House. It's cozy yet spacious, very clean & welcoming. Location is perfect. Easy to find and lots to do around the area. Plenty of boat launches to choose from and strong sturdy dock in front of the cabin..... Great Place to Stay!

Very comfortable home right on the water. Outstanding sunrise views. Everything needed was supplied.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Location made an easy drive to Mackinac Island for the day. We also enjoyed the Michigan Dark Sky Park for the first time. Brenda and Gil were great to work with.

We loved our stay and will come again. Woke up to beautiful sunrises every day for a week. It was hard to leave. Peaceful and spacious. Easy travel for day trips in all directions. Host was fabulous and thoughtful. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

This property was absolutely perfect. Easy check-in and out, the host waa very responsive. Very peaceful, quiet and felt safe. The house was clean and well stocked. Would absolutely recommend this place!

Second time staying

We had a wonderful time at this lake home. It was very convenient to the places we went to; all the amenities of home; wonderful vies of the lake; got to see eagles fishing on the lake!!!!!!! Wonderful time at Black Lake.

Vacation

The house is beautiful and much bigger than the pictures. Just what we needed for a relaxing vacation. And close to macinac Island. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful and Peaceful

Our stay at Black Lake was wonderful. The location is great, close to activities, but far enough removed to feel the quietness and nature. We enjoyed several meals grilling on the patio and sitting by the dock enjoying the beautiful sights and sounds. The house itself is cozy and provided the perfect oasis for our family. We’d love to visit again.

Lake cottage

Gil and Brenda were very thoughtful with adding extra touches to the cottage that made it feel like a home away from home. The are is very peaceful and quiet. It was a quintessential up north getaway.
