Historic Home Located in historic district of Beaufort, SC

Built in 1886, this historic home is located in the Old Commons Historic district in Beaufort, SC. Completely renovated in 2020, This home provides a great combination of history with modern amenities. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home sleeps 4; with an optional sleeper sofa that accommodates 2 more. Bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the house, making it a perfect rental for couples traveling together! With the original Hardwood floors in living and kitchen area, shiplap walls, TV's in living room and both bedrooms & a fully equipped kitchen , this is a great spot for your vacation. Rental includes amenities such as 2 bicycles, stainless steel appliances, Keurig coffee maker & a gas grill. This home has a wonderful front porch with 2 rocking chairs and 2 swings, perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening! We are a short 15-minute walk to the downtown Bay Street area that is filled with shops, restaurants and the Riverfront park.

Walked in early to clean and cozy Vrbo. Wonderfully decorated. Mile easy walk to Bay Street. Cafe with coffee and pastries across the street so you can enjoy a delicious treat on the porch swing! Quick response. Thank you for sharing your home !

Great house and location in Beaufort

We loved the Cottage on Congress. It looks exactly as shown in the pictures on the internet. Very comfortable and cozy house with everything you need for your stay. Easy walk to the town of Beaufort and easy access to local restaurants. We will definitely rent this cottage again!

Little Slice of Heaven

The owners were great and were able to accommodate us as a last minute emergency. The place is beautiful! They made the stay so easy and friendly. I plan on staying here as often as I can when I go back to Beaufort.

We have stayed at the cottage several times. We love it. It is always clean and feels like home. Alison is an excellent host who always communicates quickly with guests. We will be back!

Wonderful cottage!

We had a great stay in Beaufort! The cottage was just beautiful, and it was spotless too. It was a perfect location for all that we did in the area. The rocking chairs and swings on the front porch were a great bonus. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Place to Stay in Beaufort

Our family loved our time in Beaufort and our stay in this well appointed cottage. Alison thought of everything to make guest feel welcome and comfortable. The house is in easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the other beautiful houses Beaufort is known for!

Beautiful, Clean, Great location

This property is absolutely beautiful! Truly one of the cleanest and well-equipped properties I’ve ever stayed in. You’re drive to popular locations, such as Bay Street and the water, is very short but the neighborhood is very quiet. The owner is very helpful and accommodating, even allowing us to check in early due to housekeeping being ahead of schedule. If we’re ever back in the area, this is where we’ll be staying!

Great cottage

This little cottage was just perfect. It was very clean and beautiful decorated. We went for my son’s marine graduation and location of the cottage was just a 20 minute drive to Parris Island.

Quick getaway!

We loved our stay at this gorgeous home. The bed was super comfy and we had amazing sleep. The kitchen was well-stocked and beautiful. I wish we had an opportunity to cook more. We enjoyed riding the bikes into town to grab coffee in the morning and dinner at night. The cafe across the street was a lovely perk as well!!.

Absolute beautiful property. Clean, full of amenities good location. Our hosts recently did a full remodel and did an excellent job of providing today's necessities while keeping the charm of old Beaufort. Would definitely use this house on a return visit.

Perfect in every way

The cottage is lovely, comfy and welcoming. The location was perfect , very close to everything. Magnolias cafe across the street is wonderful. Neighborhood is very quiet and the people are very friendly. We walked to downtown (10 blocks) and through the beautiful neighborhood to see the big lovely homes. Every morning sat on the front porch having coffee and watching the water and boats It was a great vacation and we will be back next year.

The property is lovely and finished to a very high standard. The owner has seemingly thought of everything one might need. It is within walking distance of downtown Beaufort with its nice shops and good restaurants.

Bill & I are originally from Atlanta, Ga, but 20 years ago we moved to South Florida to open a new business. However, our long term plan is to retire to beautiful, historic Beaufort one day. We felt renovating this home was the 1st step towards are journey to living in Beaufort. We hope you enjoy & love this area as much as we do.

As our contractor put it "this house is one of the last greatest saves". We fell in love with the home, even though it needed LOTS of work. We feel like we have restored a bit of history and added our footprint the wonderful historic area of Beaufort.
