We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean, beautifully furnished, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals during our stay. The towels and linens were also high quality, which made the experience feel extra comfortable and welcoming. Overall, a lovely home with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Lovely, clean home with ample space for three adults. Lucked out with almost perfect weather and house is in a nice area to take walks, go to the lake, etc. Had all accommodations we could have imagined and it added to our great trip to visit with family from across the country. Owner left detailed instructions in her welcome note, as well as printed out on the table when we arrived. Couldn't have been a more smooth experience. Thank you, Sarah!

Nice cottage

We booked this pet friendly house as a base camp for a dog competition. Loved the back yard with a hammock and fireplace. House was clean plus more than enough room for 2 adults and a dog. Lake was beautiful. I would book this again.

Wonderful family time on the lake

Sarah is an excellent communicator and wonderful host. My husband and I, along with my daughter and her family enjoyed a two week family vacation. The place is immaculate, and there was plenty of toys for my grandkids. Our only complaint was it wasn’t directly on the beach (obviously or it would’ve been more expensive ) and the king size mattress is a little soft for my bad back. Otherwise, everything about the place was wonderful!

Fantastic trip for family bonding

We had a group of four adults, two kids (6 and 3), and one dog stay for three nights. The house is beautifully decorated, cozy and welcoming, and had enough room for all of us. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the extra blankets they had in a basket in the living room since we were able to snuggle up under them while watching tv. My kids had a lot of fun trying to play dominoes with their Aunt and Uncle, as well as playing in the backyard with the toy trucks in the shed and trying out the hammock - they had never seen one before and thought it was the coolest thing. The hosts were available and very responsive. House was clean and well taken care of. We didn’t get to use the fire pit, but we sat back there a few times and it was very peaceful. Our dog loved hanging out in the mulch with us. There is a steep hill between the house and one of the two beaches (two steep hills for the other one - we liked the second one better since it was sandier and you could walk in rather than climb in using stairs.) We found it easiest to walk to the beaches downhill then have one adult walk back to the house to get the car so we didn’t have to try and carry the kids and all the stuff back uphill. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and we’d definitely recommend Mohawk Cottage to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway on a beautiful lake.

Spent the long weekend to be with our children and grandchildren who live in East Hampton so we were familiar with the area. Easy to find, easy access with great host communication and very clean. Great space for all of us to gather, eat, play games and catch up. The home has all that you need, very comfortable beds, and walking distance to the beach area. Will definitely stay again when we come back to East Hampton.
