Jughandle Coast Vacation Home
This home is conveniently located between Fort Bragg (5 minutes away) and the Village of Mendocino (10 minutes away). Located 1/4 mile from the beach, the home is also close to state parks (Jug Handle, Russian Gulch, Redwood Forest, Van Damm and McKerricher) which are especially great for hiking, biking and beach access.
The home is very private, set on two wooded acres. A grassy yard opens into a meadow surrounded by redwoods, pine and fir. The house features cathedral ceilings and warm wood floors throughout, a completely equipped kitchen, cable TV/VCR, CD player, telephone, toasty wood-stove with a glass window for dinners in firelight, and a large back&side deck with outdoor dining and a barbecue for grilling.
This Mendocino house has a king, a queen, and two trundle beds (each of these beds can sleep two singles or make into queen size beds). All firewood, linens, kitchen supplies, and bedding are provided for your convenience as well as a washer and dryer. Portable crib is available.
The house and deck are wheel chair accessible but the bathroom is not large enough to accommodate a standard wheel chair.

We had an amazing stay. The house is beautiful and was clean, spacious and really near things we wanted to do (Fort Bragg, hiking, ocean). It's a particularly amazing place if you want to cook for yourself - it had all of the right equipment, supplies and even a really nice new gas grill. We didn't use the fireplace but I imagine, that might be a nice touch. Really easy to arrive and leave - just follow the checklist. We recommend the Ecological Staircase hike at Jughandle, the Botanical Gardens and the numerous nearby beaches. Thanks for a wonderful stay - we will be back for sure!

The house was comfortable and well supplied. We loved the deck and outdoor space and our grandson called it walking in the forest. We had beautiful weather all week and the skylights were an added enjoyment.

Enjoyed the windows and light in this comfortable home. It was clean and was equipped with everything needed. The location was convenient to both Mendocino and Fort Bragg but does have some news from Highway 1.

Private, comfortable, thoughtfully designed and well stocked vacation home!We loved sitting on the deck during the day (between local excursions) and cooking and relaxing in the evening. The wood stove was cozy and the TV had lots of entertainment options. The property is so beautiful! We had an excellent stay and will definitely be back again. We loved all the little touches and care that has gone into this home including the extensive guide with handwritten notes to visit places. Well stocked home, wish we stayed longer.

Amazing stay
We had a lovely time at the property. It was very well equipped and in a great location for the botanical gardens, Mendocino and Big river. Jug handle beach was beautiful. Recommended.

Lovely house near Fort Bragg
Great house with a woodsy back yard, convenient to Fort Bragg and to the state park! Would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed in this lovely house 6 or 7 times over the past ten years. We love how spacious, quiet, and light-filled it is, the comfortable beds, and how easy it is to prepare meals in the kitchen. We look forward to coming back!
