The the property was very excellent as well as the location. A problem is the E lock on the front door. Most of the time does not work. There is a lockbox located next to the E lock. They told us to use if we had a problem with the E lock, but they never gave us the code to the lockbox. The property has a very little to know cell phone reception so trying to contact them both nights was a problem.

Quiet and cozy

Our family (5 adults) had a very relaxing and enjoyable, three day stay. Dog friendly was and added plus. We definitely stay here again.

The space met our needs. Beautiful grounds and neighborhood. View of the ocean a definite plus. The space was clean. The house is funky, but I tend towards funky when I stay among the redwoods. It can be a noisy house as the upstairs bedrooms are open to the main floor at the ceiling level, so one hears everything in the living room and kitchen, We really did enjoy our time here.

The Best Time!

We loved it here! Great location and the house was perfect for the six of us who stayed there. Lots of space, great fireplace, great view of the ocean. An older place, but so full of character. We had a great time!

Magical, authentic artist home with beautiful views and a great large room to hang out in. The garden was beautiful and it was a 10 minute walk to hikes. The property manager was very responsive to a small issue with the heater and had it fixed in two hours.

Excellent choice!!

Came up here for an anniversary with my family for a quick retreat, it was awesome. The location is right near Russian Gulch and was everything we could have hoped for. Highly recommended!!

Family get away

We had a wonderful time. The location of the Home we rented was central to all the activities we did. It is well maintained and cleaned. We will definitely recommend this home.

Beautiful, peaceful location.Rustic, funky cabin feel.All three of us agreed that the beds and pillows were not comfortable and we left with stiff joints and kinks in our necks. We also wished there was more ventilation. The cabin was musty and the windows that we could actually open, only opened a crack.I agree with a previous reviewer that a couple more blankets would have been nice.

Very homey

The place felt just like home. The view from the balcony is pretty. It was very close to Russian Gulch and Point Carrillo. It was minutes from downtown Mendocino as well.

It's a beautiful and pleasant place to stay👍👍👍

It was a very nice werkend get away for us. The place is ver clean, nice and quiet. We will definitely come back and stay here again. The only thing I would like to see changes are are the matresses Other than that everything is perfect in our opinion. Thank you and looking forward to staying here again. Cheers, Toan

Great place for a small family reunion

We were here 4 nights for a siblings' reunion and we all enjoyed our stay. Views of the ocean from the deck, lots of light from two-story windows. We were welcomed by a neighborhood dog and saw what we think was a coyote on the deck at night. Well-equiped kitchen, comfortable beds. We would definitely come back again.

Perfect Mendocino Retreat!

We came up for a girls weekend, and Chanticleer was a perfect property! It was spacious and tastefully decorated, and the wrap around deck has an amazing ocean view. It was a quick drive into town, and close to a few sights we wanted to visit. Just 20 minutes to Fort Bragg for North Coast brewing and glass beach. Point Carrillo lighthouse was so close we just walked from the house. A great place to stay!
