Terrific experience with the owner and the basement suite we rented. Lovely place, well furnished with fireplace, TV, king size bed, kitchen appliances. Suite has a screened in porch and nice view of outdoor greenery. Very comfortable for our stay in the Fairfax area. Property was easy to find and we had easy access to Wolftrap where we attended a concert over the weekend. Would rent this suite again when we go back to the area.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The accommodations are top notch that include a kitchen, screened in back patio, washer and dryer. Totally a great stay!We were in town to see historical venues and this location was central to all. If we’re back in the area again, we will definitely stay here.

This was the perfect place for my family to stay for a couple days. We were visiting for a Beep Baseball Tournament, but decided to get there a couple days earlier to visit DC. The price was great and we were very comfortable. I loved the screened in back porch. I was able to enjoy my hot tea and watch squirrels and chipmunks run around and listen to acorns fall from the trees. Our host, Burke, called before our stay to see if we had any questions. He gave us tips on taking the express bus to a metro station on the day we planned to visit DC. I really expected traffic to be crazy, but it was not busy at all in this area except for school zones. There was a cute bottle of riddles on one of the shelves that I enjoyed reading out to my husband and son as we got settled our first night. Maybe TMI, but I always miss my bidet when we're out of town, but I was happy that we had one in our bathroom. Burke called the morning of our checkout to make sure we enjoyed our stay.I found a couple of great places to eat during our stay nearby. We had breakfast at Fairfax Bakery two mornings in a row. It's a small, Turkish bakery where we tried Pogaca and Bereq which were delicious. We also had breakfast sandwiches and muffins. The owners were wonderful and you could tell a lot of their customers were regulars. We had dinner at The Old Fire Station #3, which had a nice neighborhood feel. The food and drinks were great. There were several tables of regulars playing poker and dominoes.

Nice relaxing stay

Space was perfect for a 2 night stay in the area. Yard was great for our dog, enjoyed the sights and restaurants nearby. Very nice quiet neighborhood, everything you need within a few miles . Would visit again.

The apartment is everything plus more as in the description. The neighborhood is upscale and quiet. We felt very safe. The parking is off the street on a long shared driveway that serves two homes. The house backs up to some woods and is very private.. Entry is through the basement door located behind the house. There is a nice covered, screened patio that we enjoyed. Inside we found a very large sitting area with a huge TV, a couch and recliners. The dining room seats 6. There are endless games located in the dining room and the huge table is great for eating and family game night.The bedroom is awesome too. The king bed is really nice. There is a walk in closet for your things and a large bookshelf filled with books.. The bathroom is super clean and well lit.The kitchen has everything except a stove. This space was clearly created for guests. There are 2 ways to make coffee. 1 with pods and several are there to get you started. The other is via an electric tea kettle and French press. There is some coffee grounds there, but serious coffee drinkers need to bring more.. The microwave was clean. The fridge was clean.. everything was clean. My wife can spot an unclean surface from 100 feet and she was happy.The laundry area is next to the kitchen in its own room.. There is a 7 pound full size fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the kitchen. A rare find.. I travel alot and usually the fire extinguishers are from the dollar store.Everything is A here.

The homeowners were so thoughtful and kind. The property was nicer than I expected. We had everything we needed for our 6 week stay. We traveled with our dog and now she has new friends in Virginia!

Amazing Stay!

We can't recommend highly enough. The basement unit was phenomenal- very clean, beautifully decorated and furnished. Burke was a wonderful host and very responsive and kind. The location is fantastic and easy to get to many sights. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient and comfortable

The check in process was very easy and the instructions were accurate. Although we did not eat meals there, it was very well equipped for cooking and even had condiments for guests. Loved the screened-in porch. Very comfortable bed also.

Adorable Place Near gMU!

I needed something close to GMU for a work event. It was perfect! The space is adorable and located in a nice neighborhood. The rooms are large too. The host is responsive and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again.

Great stay in Fairfax

My daughter is relocating to Fairfax and we used Burke’s place as home base while apartment hunting. This nicely decorated, roomy space had everything we needed and communication with the host was always prompt and helpful. Close to George Mason University, shopping, and old town Fairfax, the location worked well too. It was all around a great stay!

Great location! Minutes from GMU!

We came in for family weekend and brought our dog. We wanted to be near GMU and somewhere the dog would be comfortable. This was perfect. Only a few minutes from GMU and quiet. We will keep this in mind for future trips.

Relaxing Oasis

Very clean and spacious rental. Lots of extra bed linens and blankets, and sleeping options. HUGE TV that will be a perfect distraction after a busy day site-seeing in DC. We will be back!
