Fully furnished cottage! A great way to experience Tawas Bay right on the water with sailing, kite boarding, fishing and beautiful sunsets! There is Full service Marina right next door with Jet Ski, Pontoon, and Kayak rentals! All resort renters receive a discount off watercraft rentals at the Marina after booking! (10% on Friday - Sunday and Holidays, 20% Monday-Thursday). Also offered is a Kiteboarding shop also next door offering rentals and lessons!

- Please ensure that your vehicle(s) are parked at the cabin you are staying at, and be kind to not park in front of another cabin's view of the beach/water if possible.
- REMEMBER: Our Cabins are on the beach, and some areas of our lot are sandy and can sometimes make it difficult for small or lower cars to park in some locations. If you have any concerns or difficulty upon arrival, please contact us for assistance.

We spent two nights at the Depine cabin which was very clean and very comfortable beds. It is an older cabin which could use some upgrading but beds very comfortable. The TV which we requested for nighttime viewing kept getting "not connected" from the internet which was disturbing especially if you are streaming a movie (best to bring games). The beach part was a little disappointing as it was a small beach area and had a lot of grass growing in between the sandy area and the water. But since we had a car we ended driving to a better beach location which was no problem. Lake Huron was quite warm this time of year (August 11-13) and so clear. All-in-all our visit was very pleasant (4 adults 1 dog). Next visit to Tawas/Oscoda I would find a cabin with more sandy beach shore than they had a Depine.

Very nice cottage.. very clean and comfortable. I loved the location. I loved the store nextdoor with the ice cream and souvenirs. Wonderful stay. I'm glad I had this experience.

Cottage was super clean when we arrived.The private beach is definitely a plus.As mentionned before, the shower is quite small but other than that this was an extremely pleasant stay. I will recommend it 100%

Overall: Absolutely NO value for money. The pictures seem to purposefully obfuscate what you are renting, because they know they are over inflating this ‘cabins’ worth by at least double. 300 a night (it goes up to 360 from what I’ve seen too!) is ROBBERY for this place. We’ve stayed in fully furnished lakefront houses WITH A PRIVATE BEACH for less in Michigan. I would not pay more than 150 for the 3.5 things they provide.CONS- There is not a deck/patio as indicated on the website.- Side door can easily be PUSHED open from the outside despite being locked. 20 feet away is a main road. There are large windows on the side door so people can just see in.- The door code did not work upon arrival (but owner was quick to respond).- You must REQUEST a TV.- No AC in humid 90 degree humid weather is MIS-ER-ABLE and the wood cabin retains heat and moisture. There are dehumidifiers (but they ALSO add to the heat). We were aware there was no AC. We were not aware just how quickly a cabin that’s the size of a studio apartment could heat up.- The beach, while private, is shared with eight or nine other cabins. The firepit is communal.- The grill is FILTHY and might have plastic tacked on.- A personal preference: the water is muddy and very shallow.PROS- [ ] A singular 100 piece puzzle set of a bear cub is available for your entertainment.- [ ] There is cell service inside the cabin.- [ ] The water is wet.- [ ] There’s a fireplace in the main area that is fun to look at.

Rustic cabin on a private beach

We had a great time at this cabin. We were practically the only family on a very nice beach. The management was very responsive when we texted regarding a small issue, which was resolved. The cabin was rustic with a very small bathroom/shower. It was also within walking distance from the state park.

Our overall stay was excellent. If I am honest I thought the cabin was directly on the beach and there was a dock for the 9 cabins. With marina directly next door there was no problem. My wife is very hard to please amenity wise and the cabin had it all. Thank you for an enjoyable weekend. We would certainly come back! Jeff & Nancy

Pleasant Stay

We had a pleasant experience. The only problem was when we moved a fire pit closer to our cabin because the are was vacant (5 fire pits only 8 cabins, which needs to be addressed). The man who checks on the property came over and stated he drove by to talk to us earlier, but we were not at the cabin, which (a) seems like stalking and (b) his tone and the way he was leering at my daughter in law were not appreciated. If we stay next year my son and I may just kick his ass....we were tempted to the next morning when we saw him.

Thought I was getting view of the lake. Got a view of another cabin. No fire pit near cabin. Grill was dirty. The cabin itself we like. Was clean. Just miss leading. Was not happy, couldn’t even see the lake. I booked for lake font. Not road side. I will never stay again.

I booked on line paid all up front and had to wait until 2 days before I left to get an address. I have family up there that were going to visit but I couldn't tell them where to go. Should get the address as soon as the stay is pain for. The driveway to our cabin was all loose sand had to park on the street side in-between many trees, difficult. Or be stuck in the sand. Pictures show long dock out front, no dock when you got there. my husband likes to fish he was disapppointed. The door to the kitchen was the one we had to use because of the sand and the approach was falling off. Dangerous had to push it place every time we used the door. You advertised a house and it really should have said cabin. You advertise wi/fi and no TV when you get there [extra charge] might have brought one of my own if I had known. Then I get a notice saying they are charging extra because we left water on the bathroom floor and sand on the kitchen floor. You should charge extra for cleaning when you book and expect to clean water a sand from the beach not decide on a price that suits you after your guest has gone. People expect you to clean, after all its their vacation. Will never book with VRBO again because you don't know what you will get.

Shallow beach

The beach was shallow and perfect for the little ones. We did go to other beaches so that we adults could swim. The cabin was nice and clean. I would stay again if we were bringing small children.

Peaceful

A clean, cozy, quiet cabin on Tawas Bay. It was peaceful. We enjoyed relaxing. A short walk to Tawas Point Lighthouse only one mile away. Beautiful view of the Bay Area. Thank you for letting us visit!

East Tawas Cabin

We enjoyed the little cabin within walking distance to Tawas Point State Park. We had breakfasts at Barnacle Bill’s, lunch at Tawas Pizza Company, and walked the park trails twice. Beautiful area. The cabin was small, and cozy and we used the outdoor fire pit and indoor fire stove. It was a very nice family trip.

Didn't expect when check out time clean showers mop floors and change beds!!!

Easy to book, very nice customer service, comfortable cottages with a pretty good beach

I was very happy with these cottages. From the start it was very easy to book with them, and the price isn't too bad either. The cottage itself is very cozy and heats up really quick. The owners were also very quick to respond to any questions we had even later in the evening.

Beach living

Very cozy cottage perfect for getting away from city hassle beach was very clean and only a couple of feet walk I would definitely recommend going and we plan on going back

Great location. Enjoyed the beach and lake. Cabin was dated but OK. Could use some updating. Don’t plan on usable Internet connection as it isn’t.

Perfect spot for family

Love this place... this was our 2nd trip to this location. Last time we stayed at a different cabin. Love the beach here...the kids can play in the water and it very shallow for a ways out. its perfect for families.
