The Cottage was perfect for our trip. Communication with the hosts was excellent. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. Nice extra touches to make you feel at home. Highly recommend!

Cottage was wonderful! Clean, neat, comfortable and well stocked for a great visit. Cottage is close to apple orchard, winerys and weather was terrific. Would definitely stay again!!

The place was amazing, clean, and bug-free. Great parking for boat trailers. The backyard was spectacular and excellent for leisure activities outside. Very cute place and will be staying again soon.

Precious Little House

Visiting family in the area...this was a nice place to stay...kitchen plus washer & dryer were part of the reason I booked this property.

This is a great house and would be perfect for two couples. It is well appointed, has comfortable beds and a wonderful kitchen and bathroom. TV's in each bedroom. For a small house it looks much larger than it is. It has lots of decking in the back, and a ramp up the front instead of steps. You wont regret booking this house. I hope to stay again.

I believe the odor is from the rain,but it was very stale and mildew smelling which was very troubling..

Thank you for your feedback. We believe the odor you mentioned may have been related to the recent rain and damp weather, although we will certainly look into it. We were disappointed, however, that several clearly stated house rules were not followed. Our home has a maximum occupancy of 4 people at all times, yet there were 9 people in the home during your stay. This is more than double the allowed occupancy. Due to a neighbor complaint about an odor coming from the deck area, we reviewed the exterior cameras and also observed guests outside sharing a smoking item and then discarding the butt in the yard, despite our rules requiring all smoking materials to be placed in the provided butt receptacle. These rules are in place for the safety of our guests, protection of the property, and consideration of our neighbors. We appreciate guest feedback and will address the concern you mentioned, but we also expect guests to respect the rules they agree to when booking.

Quick trip to the mountains

This was a perfect place for our family of four to stay for a quick trip to go snow tubing and visit family. The owners are very prompt and responsive to any request. The stay was very pleasant. We had an enjoyable family vacation.

Large deck and nice fire pit

We loved the large deck and fire pit with lots of seating. Rebecca was kind enough to bring us matches and a lighter at 9:30 at night so we could make s'mores! House was very clean, kitchen well stocked.

Everything you need and want!

We were in town for a golf tournament and this wonderful cottage was perfect. Convenient to the golf course, restaurants, and the grocery store made it a perfect fit. Because the house was properly furnished, we were able to cook steaks and have friends over to visit. This is perfect for a quick getaway or extended visit. Hope to be able to come back soon!!

Quaint Lodging in the Appalachian Foothills

A clean, affordable place to stay with great access to nature, trails, fishing and winding roads. Morganton is a hidden gem. The cottage is well equipped with a huge deck, grill, and is recently updated with everything you would need. Near Lake James and Blue Ridge mountains. Roughly 50 miles to Asheville.
