Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, unique log cabin completely updated, nestled in the woods. Secluded mountain feel, but 5 minutes from I-40. Minutes from Lake James, and a short drive to the eateries/ entertainment of Morganton or Marion. Access all the amazing activities that WNC has to offer including hiking, biking, boating, tubing, swimming, kayaking, fishing, with beautiful weather & scenery year round from this convenient location or sit on the front porch & enjoy the beauty.
The space
Hand hewn logs from 1800s reconstructed into the cutest fairy tail cabin with updated finishes throughout gives you the timeless rustic feeling but also of fresh and clean at the same time.
Guest access
Guests have access to entire cabin as well as the property it is on. Please note for tall people, the doors to the bedroom and bathroom only have 6'0" clearance. Watch your head!

Additional rules
Please strip the beds that have been slept in when checking out.

This is intended to be a family friendly space, not for parties or large gatherings. Our neighbors will let us know if there are any concerns. The outdoor security camera is simply to check if there is a concern over vandalism or large gatherings.

We loved our stay in this cabin. We had everything we needed and it was close to the interstate and everything without knowing you are close when you are there. Hosts were excellent.

I had an excellent stay at The Cabin in The Woods! It was wonderful, clean, comfortable, and exactly what I was hoping for. Everything was well taken care of, and I had everything I needed to enjoy my time there. The overall experience was fantastic, and I would absolutely recommend this property to others. The cookies were amazing! I would happily stay here again!

Adorable cabin! Loved the secluded location. Very clean and comfortable. Family friendly. Front porch was a great place to have coffee each morning. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay here!

This little cabin in the woods was by far the cleanest and well appointed VRBO property we have stayed at to date. All the comforts of home are provided by the host. The house is clean and tidy. Very quiet and peaceful. The host is easily accessible and answered all inquiries quickly. We were so impressed, we were planning our return visit before we left! Thank you Brad!

It is a very clean and private house at a reasonable price. Comfortable beds and everything you need for a nice stay. It is in a good location off I40 and close to Lake James.

This property is more than a 5-star. The little Cabin was perfect, the host are amazing! My husband and I enjoyed the fire pit and a BBQ dinner outside on 1 night. The kitchen was stocked, even seasonings that were needed. The beds are comfortable. The shower, I could have stayed in their for an hour. I love the big square shower head. We got to see a dear, many birds and squirrels playing in the morning. Thank you for your hospitality.

This was my family's second time staying here. As before, the cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with all we needed. We love how the cabin is secluded but still convenient to the interstate. From the cabin we were able to take day trips to Mt. Mitchell, Lake James, and Linville Gorge/Falls.

In town for local weekend race, The Bear Crawl.Very nice Cabin. A lot bigger inside then what it looks like on outside. Updated inside. Very comfortable. Plenty of linens. Quiet area. Would go back again. Definitely recommend for couples.

Secret little gem

This cozy little house sits close to interstate access. Tucked in the woods we had our privacy. Brad, the host is very accommodating. Our family lives in the area and we look forward to visiting again!

The whole cabin was excellent. Every aspect of what you need is there. Do not hesitate to rent this cabin. The host were perfect. Their communication with their guests is far beyond expectations. We loved it and will rent again.

Relaxing and Quiet

This home was very pleasant and comfortable. Everything you needed was available. The beds were very comfortable and the home was well appointed. Great location to Morganton or Marion. And very close to great hiking and nature walks.
