Loved cooking in the kitchen and out on the grill during our stay! The cabin was small and quaint, perfect for a couples get away. We also got to see some New Years Eve fireworks over the water next to the firepit. Breathtaking!

Great rustic adventure cabin.

Max’s cabin was an awesome place for my little family to have an adventure on the lake. The boats were awesome and the place was the perfect home base to explore the surrounding mountains.

Great Stay

Lovely little cabin on the Lake. Awesome to have a dock with kayaks and quiet cove. Great restaurant around the corner. Great location and access to the lake.

Wonderful stay at this hidden gem on Lake Lure. Cozy, rustic, quaint and beautiful place with all the amenities you need. Will definitely be back!

Great views from the kitchen desk and the boat house deck, with fenced area from the driveway to the lake. This was perfect for the two dogs to enjoy the fresh area. Overall great cabin vibe. No laundry….but with everything else being great it was overlooked.

Awesome lake cottage

Nice little lake cottage with awesome views. Made our stay at Lake Lure very relaxing. Everything we needed for a couple to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

Amazing trip!

We had a great trip! Being able to jump in the lake off the dock was the key to our trip. Kids loved the canoe and kayaks. Great proximity to local stores/shopping, hiking, and beach! We will be back!

The location to waterfront was OK. It is in a good location. The driveway is step with a drop of on one side. From the cabin to the water are many rock steps, wooden stairs would have been an easier trek. The sitting area on top of the boat house was not usable. There was no umbrella. The cushions on the chairs were torn old and I believe there were fleas in the cushions. The metal chairs were too hot to sit in and uncomfortable. The swimming area was good, but coming out of the water there was no place to sit. The kyacks took up all the deck space and no room for chairs. The house was pretty much as the photos showed. We encountered many ants. They were all over the deck and kitchen sink. There was dog hair all over the sofa and floor. I had a pet, a poodle, which poodles don't shed. For these reasons I probably would book at another location on our next visit.

Great Lake Front Location

House is located in a perfect area close to town on a very quiet part of the lake. There were no shortage of indoor and outdoor activities, which came in handy during some heavy rain storms during our trip. Beautiful lake views and a quick stroll down the hill to get in the water.

Fun at Lake Lure

The location was perfect! We rented a pontoon for a day at Lake Lure Adventures and their shop is 5 minutes away. Lake Lure town is about 10 minutes away and we enjoyed Lured Market for lunch and a good craft beer. Grocery store is also <10 minutes.

Just right

The owner description lived up to our experience. Very clean and location is hard to beat. Only grievance is a few rather squeaky floor areas in bedroom to bathroom walkway - but it's minor when you consider that everything else is as described (good). Would revist for sure.Would r

A serene stay

Lovely long-range views of Lake Lure from both the home's upper deck and the boathouse deck. Kitchen was wonderfully stocked with both cookware, appliances, and linens. We thoroughly enjoyed the lush landscaping around the fenced in property as did our pup! We arrived with a bag of floating duck treats and left with none (they were also enjoyed by the large trout that lives under the boathouse). My husband and I highly recommend this rental.

Beautiful location + cozy, charming cottage

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming cottage. We loved being right on the water and the view from the boat house and the house's deck were incredible. It's a pretty small space, but was perfect for our family of four (parents + 2 kids, ages 14 and 9). The bathroom shower is very small and was a challenge for our son who is 6' 5". Also, like many of the homes at Lake Lure, it's quite a steep walk down the rock stairs to get to the home and then down to the water, so if someone has mobility challenges I wouldn't recommend staying here. It was a fantastic place for us, though; we loved our stay.

Great week

The cabin was clean and adequately maintained. Did not realize that access down to dock would be so difficult. I have a bad knee and had to be very careful. The walking stick in the cabin made the walk possible. My daughter and grandson had no problem The dock, water, water toys were great!

Nearly 30 steep, uneven, rough-hewn steps to cabin from parking area to cabin and from cabin to lake. Not disability, handicapped freindly. Elderly and those with joint issues should be warned that this is not a good choice for them. For they young and physically able this is a lovely and well kept treasure.

Great weekend getaway

The best thing about this cottage is definitely the view! We enjoyed the views of the lake from both decks, especially watching the sunset. House description was accurate - we had everything we needed for a weekend stay. I gave the communication only 4 stars as we did not receive any check-in information until the day before we went which made me a little nervous. Televisions could stand to be upgraded and internet was very slow, but we knew that when we went so were not surprised. Having a fenced yard was great for the dog, but there are not great places for dog walking except on Neighborly Drive which is not very long. We had to drive to get anywhere for long walks. Overall we had a great weekend and enjoyed our stay.

very relaxing

Minor dissatisfaction with the shower - very tiny. A handheld showerhead would help. On the deck over the boathouse, furniture wasn't ready for guests. Maybe less furniture/ less clutter? Great for a big party but not for 2. Otherwise we were extremely pleased with the comfort and aesthetics. Nicely furnished Very welcoming Charming cozy Lovely view. Enjoyed the view from inside and both decks. Location good. Missed out on kayaking and canoeing but maybe next time!
