The Hideaway Cottage

If your looking for a place to sleep, shower and relax after a long day of fishing, boating or hanging out at the beach then our newly renovated one room cottage might be for you. It has a kitchenette, a full size bed, bathroom and a screened in porch. There is also an outdoor charcoal grill and outdoor shower for your personnel use.





Linens for bed and bath will not be provided.

You will be sent check in information a few days before your stay

We had a wonderful getaway here! Clean, essentials on hand, private, and close proximity to the beach and other essential attractions. Would highly recommend booking this cozy cottage for a short getaway in a fun location.

Great value. Tiny space with not much room for luggage but very private and quiet. Screened in porch was nice. Close car ride to restaurants and beach. Owner very flexible and responsive. Perfect for a couple. Would stay again!

This is a perfect cottage for a couples weekend away from home. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch for coffee in the mornings and lunch in the afternoon. The cottage is within driving or biking distance to Main Street and the wildlife refuge, which we loved exploring during the day. The cottage was clean and comfortable for two.

My stay at this VRBO was truly wonderful and I would VERY HIGHLY recommend the property, host, and location!! Don was the perfect host, greeting us shortly after our arrival to ensure we had everything we needed and to see if we had any questions. Don also checked in with us daily, but was never intrusive in any way.The location is perfect, the price was great, and the cottage itself was a delight. It was extremely clean and confortable, and the property affords you a great deal of privacy, yet is close to absolutely everything in Chincoteague. My what a gorgeous area btw; everyone should go there at least once but I plan to return as soon as possible!! If you are planning a stay in this area and looking for a reasonably priced, wonderfully clean, well equipped, and just plain beautiful and peaceful place to stay in Chincoteague, well you owe it to yourself to check out (and into) the Hideaway Cottage!! This is a great place to stay! There is just enough room for two people to stay comfortably. The area is very nice, clean, and quiet. We would stay here again.

Great private place! Love how it's just a few minutes from main Street and the beach! Front porch is great for eating outside without having to worry about the mosquitoes bitting! Highly recommend this place! We definitely will be staying again!

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet but convenient to the attractions of Chincoteague and the refuge. We enjoyed staying there very much and would recommend.One suggestion: If possible, a recycling bin would be very useful.
