We love staying at the Coast Cottages in St. Simon. This was our first time at Dauntless and it was everything we needed. The home was clean, the beds comfortable and the AC cool. The ladies at Georgia Coastal were also very nice when we picked up our welcome packet.

The location of the property was exceptional! It is very close to the pools and the beach, and multiple restaurants are nearby. The property was clean, and communication with the host was good. There were a couple of minor housekeeping/maintenance issues (i.e. the barbecue grill needed some repair, and we had difficulty keeping the T.V. connected to the internet server). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great place

Fantastic property in a great location. Close to the pool and short walk to the beach. One of our best vacations ever.

Cannot say enough good things about this property. It was well maintained & spotless. The location to the beach & pool was excellent. We also found the kitchen was well stocked for our needs. As we were three couples it was great having full bathrooms in each bedroom.

Fall Break '24 - 2 families

The property was just perfect for 2 families to spend a long weekend. The setup was nice, included chairs, and umbrella for beach that we used. The pool access and beach access were super convenient!

Great location and lovelt accomodations

The home is in an ideal location to enjoy everything St Simons has to offer. It is very nicely furnished for casual livi g and very clean. It was exactly as listed.

Wonderful house close to the beach. Watch out for the mosquitos in the dunes (August), they will eat you alive.

Family Beach Vacay

We had an amazing stay at the Dauntless Cottage!! You can’t beat the location, steps away from a beautiful beach and two heated pools. We had a 2 year old and a 10 month old with us so the short walk to the pool/beach was perfect. The house was immaculate with all the amenities. There are also tons of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We were very happy with our stay and can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!

Loved the house! Close walk to beach. Property manager very attentive. Would love to stay in this house again. Well stocked Kitchen. Bedroom on main floor was key for my elderly parents. 10 out of 10! Thank you!

Dauntless cottage

The cottage is as stated on website - clean and good location. As far as housekeeping recommendations: the kitchen s lacking measuring cups/spoons, mixer is not functional, only one trash bag for the kitchen trash can and only one paper towel roll.

While the space was very good for all of us the condition of the house needs some major attention.1. We were interrupted by having them put in a new air conditioner the second day2. The stairs up to the house need painting.3. There were a number of pictures missing-hooks with nothing on them4. The frame in the bathroom window was broken.5. There was no shower towel bar in the shower but there were brackets on the wall6. The railing out side had a few spindles not connected to the frame.7. There could have been an umbrella for the table on the porch upstairs to deal with the sun in the morning. There is a hole in the table for one.8. The roof of the porch upstairs had plastic over space joining the house and there was a leek into that area of the house.9. On the instruction page, a number of items were listed as items to bring for your stay ONLY to find out that a number of those items WERE ALREADY IN THE HOUSE. SUCH HANGERS, DISH SOAP, LAUNDRY DETERGENT AND PAPER TOWELS. THIS WRITTEN COMMUNICATION NEEDS TO BE SEVERLY UPDATED.

Thank you for bringing these items to our attention. We would like to address the items you mentioned. 1. Unfortunately, we had no control over the air conditioner breaking during your stay, but we were glad we were able to have the entire unit replaced within hours of receiving notice that it wasn't working. 2. We will take into consideration your suggestion about the exterior stairs needing to be touched up with paint. 4. In reference to the broken bathroom window frame, the parts had been ordered, and we were trying to get the parts installed between guest arrivals. 5. We will make note of a missing towel bar in the shower. 6. We will have maintenance secure the spindles. 7. If you had contacted us about the umbrella, we would have been glad to bring one over for your stay. 8. Yes, we determined a couple of days prior to your arrival that there was a small leak but had no other option than to cover it with plastic for a repair when no one is staying at the cottage. (We were glad to learn after calling you during your stay, that the plastic was serving its purpose and the cottage didn't have any leaks inside during the hard rains we had the week you were here.) 9. In reference to the items you mentioned, we suggested that you bring those items in case you have a specific preference or in the event the property doesn't have an ample supply during your stay. Fortunately, there were plenty of supplies during your visit. We hope to see you back on the island soon.

Perfect house for family vacation

This was our second time renting a house on this street. We enjoyed our previous stay at the first house, but this house surpassed our expectations. The layout was perfect for our family, which included my husband and I, my parents, and our two boys. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so having the door at the top of the stairs to be able to close while they slept was great for completely blocking out all noise from downstairs. There was plenty of space for everyone, the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed for cooking, and we enjoyed time on the upper deck in late afternoon and evenings. I would recommend that the toaster be replaced as it seemed to be malfunctioning and possibly a fire hazard. We will definitely be booking another family vacation at this property!

7 Coast Cottage - Dauntless Cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely cottage in a gorgeous neighborhood! Well equipped with everything we could need for our weeklong girls trip. Very clean and well maintained property. Location was absolutely fantastic! We were just steps away from the pools and a short walk to the beach. Only a mile or 2 from shopping, restaurants, grocery, and lighthouse/museum. Our only complaint was with the mattresses. One bed was fine, but the other beds had large dips in the mattresses on each side, with a hump in middle of the bed. The air conditioning went out on the upper floor mid-way through our stay, but the maintenance company came right away and took care of it for us. Overall, a really positive experience and we really enjoyed this location. We will definitely return!

Reviewer Comments: We celebrated my mother’s 70th birthday by having her two kids and three grandkids on a beach vacation and it was everything she wanted and hoped for! Location was amazing! We were looking for a place to stay that didn’t have a pool on property (we have an active 1 year old and didn’t want to worry about him getting out) so this location was PERFECT because it was a quick walk to the pool and you just head right up to the beach from there.
