1.5 hours north of Chicago, 40 min from Milwaukee

Absolutely fantastic!!

This is our second time staying at The Cottage and it was just the relaxing weekend away that we needed! The hosts were super...they thought of everything and had gone above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

Relaxing getaway

Just what we wanted, being close to the beach, have a fire going in the fireplace.This was a quick stay just to recharge.Alan & Linda have a wonderful cottage. Snack & water were provided.We took several walks on the beach.Hopefully we can come back this summer!

Another Amazing Stay…

This is my third time at the cabin and it never ceases to amaze me. Alan and Linda provide all of the perfect little personal touches and are easily available for questions if needed! I get my best sleep at this cabin and always go home the most relaxed I can be. Thank you again, Alan & Linda!

Another relaxing stay

My husband and I enjoyed our second stay at this amazing little lake home and plan on making this a yearly trek! It is so cozy and the view cannot be beat. The host is attentive and communication was great. I’ve shared the listing with family and friends, too!

Anniversary Weekend

Really nice property and super clean. Lots of supplies, snacks, drinks, water, coffee; basically everything we needed. Bedroom is small but cozy, Sunrised and moonrises were stunning. We enjoyed our time, but it went too fast. We met the owner. Super nice!

Love the Lake Cottage made special by wonderful hosts.

We had a great time at the Lake Cottage! The cottage is very clean and well stocked with water, utensils, cooking supplies and snacks. We enjoyed the lake views and walking on the beach just steps away from the Lake Cottage. The hosts, Alan and Linda, give much thought to making our stay very enjoyable and we appreciate all the extras you provide which make our stay relaxing and memorable. I love the outdoor concrete patio for cooking out, but we spend most of the day at the lake side patio admiring the lake views and listening to the waves. In the evening the fire pit is fantastic. During our visit we had one warm water day where we enjoyed swimming in the lake and soaking up the sun. We will definitely be back! Thank you Alan and Linda!

Great visit

Good place. Bedroom and bathroom not handicap accessible. Otherwise wide open good railing to back door. Beautiful lakeside spot.

The Lake Cottage Experience

Vacation with my husband and 12 yr old grandson. Just fabulous. Cottage is so comfortable and clean. Sunrises are glorious. Property is well maintained and just 50 steps to the beach. Loved the fire pits. We relaxed by the beach and re-charged our batteries (much needed.) Saw sailboats, cabin cruisers, even a Coast Guard Boat, which was so neat. Also, an eagle. The waves were so peaceful and at times, choppy, which we enjoyed. Highly recommend this rental.

Wonderful little slice of paradise

We had a wonderful vacation here! Nice sandy beach, fire pit, huge yard for games . . . Huge windows with a great view of the lake. The house was extremely clean and organized and had lots of nice touches like s'mores supplies, fire starters, a free bottle of wine, a foot-washing hose for coming back from the beach, and tons of lawn/beach games like badminton, cornhole, etc. The house is small but cozy and laid out efficiently. Thanks for everything!

Relaxing get away with amazing view!

The property was just as described. It is right on Lake Michigan in a rural area, so little traffic and a lot of privacy. It was perfect and just what we were looking for. There is nothing like sitting by the water and listening to the waves. If we wanted to venture out, it was within a short 15-25 minute drive of state parks and was just south of Sheboygan. The hosts were very attentive to the needs of guests and provided water, ice, snacks, firewood, charcoal,... everything you might need. (We didn't need to open and waste the mayonnaise we purchased for sandwiches because they have packets in the fridge.) They also have a pair of binoculars in the huge windows that overlook the lake. The sunrise over the lake is a must-see. We enjoyed walking on the lane in the mornings, visiting the nearby state parks, sites in Sheboygan, and the local restaurants. It was perfect! Loved it all!

This was the perfect getaway spot for our small family of four's first vacation on our own. The cottage was cozy, clean, and very well-stocked. The sandy beach right in the backyard made each day relaxing and adventurous for the adults and our two young kids. We really loved our visit and hope to stay again!

Wonderful getaway

I was looking to get away and be by the water. This is exactly what I needed. The property is lovely, quiet, and neat. My kids loved being able to walk on the beach whenever they wanted. We had a bonfire one night and spent another day lying on the beach and playing in the water. The hosts are terrific. You can tell they take care of the property and work hard to make sure guests have a nice time. We would definitely return!

Cute Cottage in the middle of everything.

This cottage was the perfect landing place for us as we explored the area and lake. The welcome snacks, water, s,mores and wine was perfect for our clan and the cottage was well stocked. Not that it mattered for us, but I thought from the pictures that the bunk bed was located under the same roof as the bedroom. Instead, we found them with all of the patio goodies in a second building. The kids were so excited for the bikes and outdoor toys. Thank you Alan and Linda for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!!

Like another planet

This was our second time staying at the lake house and it was just as enjoyable if not more so, even though we had lots of rain, it made it a new fun experience. There is no bad weather when considering this lake view, sometimes at sunset it feels a bit like being on a different planet with all of the beautiful colors. The cottage is so cozy and with a full kitchen it’s so convenient and easy, we brought our own food both times so we didn’t have to leave. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance, the lake view is such a soul refresher and the hosts are wonderful and generous!

Raxing Getaway

My family loved the cottage. We spent a evening watching old movies and playing games that were in the cabinet. My kids loved the snacks and smores that were left for us and us parents loved the wine. Anytime I had questions prior to arrival i got a response back from the owners within minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Getaway

Alan and Linda are great hosts. The cottage is amazingly well kept. A great location for someone looking for a quiet getaway. Far enough away from real life but close enough to some fun activities. The view of the lake and a small fire in the fireplace was the relaxing experience I was looking for.
