Beautifully renovated Barnhouse Suite with patio

"The Barnhouse" is located in the beautiful neighbourhood of Shaughnessy and was built as a barn or stable to one of the prestigious neighbouring manor homes. The neighbourhood is quiet, yet central. The suite is equipped with free high speed internet, a flatscreen TV featuring Netflix, Amazon prime and Disney+, two washers, two dryers and new kitchen appliances. Street parking is widely available.

The barn has undergone many changes over the years. The east wing was the newest renovation project. It was converted into the beautiful and warm "Barnhouse suite". As I like my guests to be 100% satisfied with their stay, please review the floor plans in the photo section of this website.

The suite features a lovely garden patio, a remote controlled adjustable bed and two additional deluxe on-suite bedrooms on the second floor. The downstairs bedroom, also on-suite, is separated by a wall but no doors, from the kitchen/dining/sitting room. The suite is equipped with large windows, beautiful skylights, underfloor heating, new utilities and is ready to welcome guests. We look forward to hosting you.

Our stay was perfect. The suite was lovely--clean and well furnished, very comfortable. We felt it was perfect for us. The hosts were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this place to stay in Vancouver.

Lovely home, worked well for our party of 6, 4 adults and two young kids. The host was so kind and helpful, even brought out toys for our young ones. House is set in a beautiful neighborhood of older homes, not far from Granville Market.

Had a fantastic stay at the Barnhouse! our family of 6 adults had a great time. Everything looks just like the pics. Fantastic views from all the windows in autumn. Just 3 or 4 blocks from the transit system And Safeway, Starbucks. Beautiful walkable quiet neighborhood.Eva and David were wonderful hosts and very responsive to our requests, they really made us feel very welcome! I would highly recommend.

This place is absolutely wonderful. Eva is a welcoming host and the suite is terrific. Everything was very clean and the neighborhood is quite beautiful. It comfortably sleeps 6 people and with that many, the cost is certainly worth it. Perfect if you’re looking for nights out downtown, but want quiet and relaxing downtime. We only have good things to say and highly recommend staying here!

Eva is an extremely kind and attentive host. The property is beautifully and generously appointed, with a clean, modern boutique-like aesthetic. There was plenty of room for our family of four, including two young adult children. We had a perfect stay and will look to return here for our next family visit to Vancouver.

What a beautiful home and suite! We really enjoyed how this property felt like being in a woodland retreat while in the middle of Vancouver. It was spotless and Eva, our host, was welcoming and easily reachable. She even went to the trouble of putting out some toys and games for our 6 year old son, which he enjoyed playing with. The patio area was absolutely lovely and perfect for entertaining as we had a couple of friends come to us for a visit while we were there! The location is great - a short drive to most places we wanted to go - 10min to Granville Island, 20min to Commercial Drive and East Vancouver, 15min to Gastown/downtown. Would absolutely stay again!

Clean and comfortable, our group of 6 had a wonderful 3 day stay. Eva is a gracious and accommodating host and we would HAPPILY stay here again. Beautiful neighborhood and walking distance from nearby stores. This residence is a gem!

Such a beautiful property in a beautiful location! Close to Granville Island and the airport, it was the perfect place to stay before heading home to Ontario. Eva is a wonderful host. We are grateful for her hospitality.

This place was lovely. It was in a beautiful and quiet area but yet close to the city and airport. The hostess was great. She was easy to communicate with and was very helpful. The place was very clean and well stocked with everything you needed. I would recommend staying here.

We had a great stay at the Barnhouse Suite. The neighborhood is peaceful and a nice respite after forays into the busy Vancouver downtown. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor patio. Eva was a responsive and helpful host-thanks Eva!
