With no air conditioning it was a little warm upon arrival but cooled off nicely by bedtime. Otherwise, cabin was cute, clean, well equipped with everything needed, and convenient. Easy to find with excellent directions from Sarah. Communication was excellent. Great getaway spot with community feel.

Great little spot to relax and fish

Really enjoyed this little place on shelter bay. Everyone was so nice and paddling the bay at sunset was glorious!

Great property

The cottage was very cute and the pavilion area had a great set-up. Great view from the fire pit/beach area. Canoes were available to take out and great area to rock-hunt.

Must come back!

Our one night stay at Kimars’s Resort was amazing but too short! We loved the classic cottage that was spotless, the very friendly owners and staff, and the spectacular lake views. Next time we will enjoy more of the resort’s amenities.

Cute Little Hideaway

This cabin was the perfect size for my fiancé and myself. Right in the middle between Marquette and Munising, this made our stay the perfect launch point for many vacation adventures.

The most memorable vacation! The beauty of Lake Superior was awesome!

Sara, was so helpful giving tips on what to see while in UP. Kayaking in the quiet of Lake Superior at Shelter Bay. Best vacation ever! I can’t wait to be back!

Great Location

The Cabin is small but cozy, not a big view of the Lake from the Cabin, but with a short walk to the boathouse the lake is absolutely stunning. The property is located pretty much directly between Munising and Marquette, so you can do day trips to either very easily!

Great Hospitality and History

This multi-generational property has a really cool backstory and history. The owner was responsive and the check-in/out process was easy. A good halfway location between Munising and Marquette, this felt like the full upper peninsula experience.

Lake Superior Gem

Charming resort with individual cabins and communal pavilion and campfire pit 20 minutes west of Munising. Quiet, peaceful, and well-maintained cabin on Lake Superior. Smaller lake across the street great for swimming. Easy drive to all the sites in Munising and Pictured Rocks.

Great weekend away

We had a nice time checking out the beautiful UP. Close to pictured rocks where we spent lots of time. The bed was not the most comfortable, but not terrible. Nice location to explore the area. Really enjoyed dinner at The Blackrocks nearby. Definitely a hidden gem!
