Munising Area - Walking Distance to Lake Superior - Located in Christmas

The Getaway is a newer remodeled cabin with 2 bedrooms (Master bedroom has a king size bed - 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds), and 1 bath (shower) located in the cozy village of Christmas located just a few miles west of Munising.

The Getaway Cabin has a flat screen TV with service provided by Jamadots internet/WIFI, tv channels. There is a DVD player with assorted movies for guests to enjoy. Assorted games, books and puzzles are available as well. The decor theme features pictures and maps of Munising & Lake Superior representing the interesting history of the area.

The full size kitchen has all new appliances and is fully equipped with all the eating utensils and cookware. There is a big backyard with a picnic table, a gas grill for all of your outdoor cooking, and a fire pit for your evening camp fires (4 campfire chairs provided). The neighborhood access to Lake Superior is approximately 350'. You can launch your own kayak from the beach. The ATV trailhead is located across the road behind the Casino.

Walking distance: Lake Superior, Christmas Casino, Furnace Bay, Duck Pond Eatery & Beer Garden, and Foggy's Restaurant.

The Getaway is in a great location for exploring Pictured Rocks and Lake Superior beaches. It is cozy, clean, and well equipped. We come back year after year and always have a great stay.

We had a great stay!! The accommodations were even nicer in person and Karen was great at communicating. The location is perfect and there is even a nice bar/restaurant right next door. We loved our visit!

Perfect place for 4 of us and a dog to stay while we enjoyed Pictured Rocks and Munising/Au Train area. Wonderful back yard for grilling sitting by the fire and watching the meteor shower. Very clean and well stocked with tools for cooking. Karen was responsive and made sure to check in to see that all was going well during our stay.

this is a great place to stay to explore the area, minutes to Munising and the Rocks. There is a bar/restaurant next door and a casino across the street. You can walk down the street to a small beach on Lake Superior and the State Forest.Very clean, cozy cabin and Karen is a very good hostess (great response).Would certainly stay here again

Very convenient to the lake. Quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. House was very clean.

Perfect location to drive east or west for sightseeing. Cabin was just the right size for the 4 adults. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials and more! We would stay here again

Perfect for a family of 4. Host is very accommodating and communicated before and during our stay. Even gave us suggestions of things happening in town during our stay.

Great Place!

Great location and house was super clean! Our dogs loved having a fenced in yard, and there was a campground nearby with great walking paths and beach access.

Cabin was clean and cozy. Backyard was private with fire pit, chairs and solar LED lights. Host was amazing and checked in with us and even left us an Anniversary card and gift which was very thoughtful.

The cabin was perfect, quiet good location close to the lake I walk to the lake with my dog every morning and evening. The backyard was great we had barbeque every night also used the firepit. The boat tour were great only 4 to 5 minute away. Very relaxing vacation would go back again.

Very nice and quiet stay. The area is beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed. The only con was it was a bit too cold in the cabin. The blankets provided weren't heavy enough to deal with how cold it got at night. Other than that we would definitely recommend staying here!

Comfortable and Perfect Location

Our family of 4 and dog stayed in August and enjoyed the cabin amenities and location. Super comfortable beds, had everything you would need and location was perfect for being our home base exploring the UP.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cabin. Family friendly for us bringing a small child and quiet even with a restaurant nearby. Very short walk to Lake Superior beach with tons of cool rocks to check out. Our host was very nice and made us feel very welcome. I didn’t get any cabin photos to share, but do have a nice one of our kiddo playing in the water at the Lake Superior beach that is close by.

Great location!

Great location next to the lake, next to two local restaurants and a gas station, only 7m to Munising… will stay again my next trip to the UP! It’s a perfect location as a gateway to pictured rocks and the best that UP has to offer
