Incredible home

We loved our stay in the Hobbit Home. The mosaics, woodworking, and artwork are unbelievable. The owners are very responsive, and the house is fully appointed, with great attention to detail. Super clean. Great location in a very quiet neighborhood. Can't wait to go back in the summer to enjoy the garden and patio. Highly recommend.

Delightful, Indulgent Stay!

The Santa Fe Hobbit House is stunningly unique and comfortable. We had a good time finding new beautiful design details the whole time we were in the house. Beds and furniture were all inviting and luxurious. We didn't use the kitchen as often as we usually might because the neighborhood had such wonderful restaurants. Our hosts were gracious and responsive. The only thing additional thing we could ask for is a written description of the history and craftspeople who developed this beautiful property.

Hobbit Holiday

We had a wonderful stay in Santa Fe with family and friends. The Hobbit House is wonderfully designed and appointed and in pristine condition. The location is central to the major highlights in Santa Fe. It was the perfect place for a memorable vacation. We would return in a heartbeat.

Fantastic property in Santa Fe for Art Lovers

We loved this place! It’s like staying in an art gallery. The home had extremely comfortable beds, beautiful appointed decorations and furniture, amazing art work throughout…the wall paintings and shower tile work were incredible! We walked all over Santa Fe from the house. It was an amazing place-highly recommend. And I’m picky!

The property was fantastic, clean, interesting, well stocked, well located and just overall great! Will have to check it out in spring/summer when everything is blooming. Although we only stayed a few days we really enjoyed the house and will try for it again in the future.

Amazing!

The house was just amazing and within 5 miles of everything you could possibly want to do or eat. Every room has so much to see and admire, if you want to impress you company this is the house to do it at. You will not want to leave. The owners were amazing very easy to work with and want to make sure your stay was perfect. We did not want to leave! Recommend to everyone!

Beautiful And Comfortable!

Such a beautiful home, with so much care given to both artistry and comfort. Pictures don’t do it justice! We were 3 couples who stayed for a week and we all loved it. It played a big part in our enjoyment of Santa Fe; great outdoor area too.

Perfect!

If you are visiting Santa Fe as a tourist, this is the perfect VRBO! In fact, add an extra day to your trip just to fully appreciate and enjoy Hobbit House. The house itself is unique, very comfortable, and fun, as depicted in the VRBO photos. Four of us used the place as "base camp" to explore northern NM for 8 days. The house layout is perfect for up to three couples. The kitchen, dining, and living spaces are great. There is a lovely deck and back yard for summer use, and fireplace for winter coziness. It is minutes away from all of the must-do sites in Santa Fe, as well as the highways to more distant places like Taos. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are both < 5 minutes. And (this is important!) there is a genuine and excellent boulangerie just at the end of the block for all of your breakfast needs. Hobbit House is special!

No problems checking in or out. The house and grounds are fantastic and are better than the pictures. We kept finding little details. The house is completely furnished with everything you could want and is very comfortable. We’ll be back.

Santa Fe Adventure

We have been to many vacation house rentals and this one stands out as the most well appointed home we have rented! The hosts have thought of everything. The home is in a very convenient location. The back yard and fountain are simply stunning and a welcome retreat after a day of exploring the area. We enjoyed the architecture and artwork reminiscent of the Gaudi works we saw in Barcelona. It’s not the same old rental house decor you see everywhere. Wonderful attention to every detail! Would highly recommend!

Surrounded by art: great location

Sheila and Terry's hobbit house is a true work of art--comfortable, cozy and well-stocked too. We loved watching the hummingbirds in the garden. Just a short drive to the center of town and surrounded by great restaurants and plenty of places to shop. Can't think of a single negative thing to say.

Great house

My daughters and I loved this house. It was spacious for the 3 of us. High ceilings and skylights gave it an open and airy feel. The kitchen is as well equipped as any you will find. The garden is lovely especially in the morning with lots of birds. Had our breakfast outside every day. Lots of parking. Every amenity provided. Location is good but you definitely need a car. We spent 5 nights and went to the Santa Fe opera 3 times. There is desk in the dining area which was perfect if you need a work space which one of us did.

Amazing property!

What a beautiful and memorable home! This is a wonderful place to launch your exploration of Santa Fe's renowned art galleries -- it's like staying in a gallery itself! Everything, I mean everything, is custom and artistically crafted. The gardens were as beautifully kept as the home. Plenty of space for our family of 5 adults. Coffee on the back patio with the sounds of the waterfall was perfect. Easy walk to Clafoutis for breakfast, and convenient drive to plaza, Canyon Drive, Railyard and more! Love, love, loved it!

Serene Setting for Girls’ Weekend

The Hobbit House is a lovely place for a fun weekend with friends. It had everything we needed (plus more!). We especially enjoyed sitting on the back patio and listening to the water fountain. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I have lived in Santa Fe for the last 40 years and for the last 10, we have wanted to play 'host.' We bought a house in a key location, and for 5 years, I 'dolled it up' with an attempt to make it a 'live-in art gallery.' It was so fun, I now am doing more of this kind of work. Sheila came in with her green thumb, and designed and planted the landscaping, plus, she oversaw all the interior decoration and furnishings. Now we work together to get it ready for guests. We enjoy sharing the house with our guests.
