Enjoy the scenery and miles of trails at your doorstep. This 3 bedroom well cared for country escape Lower Flat is completely updated and offers many amenities to satisfy and complete your stay. Over 1500 sq/ft finished lower level for guests to sit back and enjoy with family and friends. Step outside to an oversized patio that can accommodate the entire family and enjoy sunsets overlooking the Horseshoe Region. Gourmet kitchenette (no oven) to speed things up and enjoy more time relaxing and having fun. Why not whip up a quick meal on the BBQ, sit back on the patio and enjoy!

Guests will have all the comforts of home! Get comfortable by sitting by the gas fireplace, enjoying a nice glass of wine, prepare some delicious food in the kitchenette and spend time having fun playing the arcade games and air hockey with family while having fun playing a variety of board games!

Enjoy scenic views overlooking the escarpment, go for a walk or hiking on the trails on the property, get active and bike through the forest trails or sit back, relax and enjoy a bonfire and beautiful sunsets! For the safety of guest, there are security systems and cameras on the property exterior (Security/camera located outside the home).

Beautiful Spot

We stayed for 3 nights and must say the spot is beautiful. The little extras Margaret went to, to make us feel welcomed. The space is clean and comfortable and has everything you would need.

Ski/snowboard Weekend

Margaret and James have a beautiful location that is perfectly situated for a fun weekend of snow activities! We felt like royalty enjoying their hospitality. Close to Mount St Louis Moonstone and Horseshoe Valley. We can’t wait to plan another trip away so we can go back ♥️.

The home is perfectly executed with comfort and design. Well equipped and honestly one of the nicest stays we have experienced in while. Location was perfect for us as we enjoy hiking, trail walking and spend some time at the spa at Horseshoe. Super clean, peaceful e and comfortable will definitely book again

Work Trip

Spacious, clean and an incredible host, what more could you ask for! We were lucky to find this rental for our work trip, after long days working away from home the last thing you want to worry about is where you’re laying your head at the end of the night. Spacious and well appointed unit with excellent hosts made for a fantastic long weekend

We had an amazing long weekend here. Margaret & James were amazing hosts, friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The unit is very spacious, well appointed, clean, and comfortable. It also had various games to keep our kids busy when we weren't skiing at Horseshoe Valley, including board games, an air hockey table, and a classic video game table. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay here again.

Modern Getaway Close to the City!

This was the perfect getaway and not too far from the city! The place was large, bright, comfy and super clean (which is really important to me)! The open concept helped, so it was always easy to keep an eye on the kids. I don't usually mention how a place is decorated, but the furnishings just made you feel like you were staying in a lavish place! Horseshoe resort was less than a 5 minute drive away, so we were able to spend the day there using the amenities! Came back to relax and have fun on the large patio while the kids played in the the huge backyard before they got to enjoy a nighttime bonfire! The backyard leads directly to beautiful trails, which we we were able to enjoy the next morning! This was definitely what we needed for a mini escape! Margaret was a great host and answered our questions promptly. Check-in was also super easy. What an amazing place to come to! We are looking forward to booking this place again soon!

We enjoyed it so much, we returned!

We enjoyed Margaret's place so much, that we returned for March Break. The neighbourhood is magical during all seasons, and we got to see it get ready for spring. We got to enjoy even more walking to the amenities of the playground (so close to the apartment!), the animal farm, horse stall, pond and trails in the forest. We can't wait to visit again in the summer!!

Not just a stay, but an incredible experience!

We had a 3-month seasonal rental in Margaret’s stunning apartment, and there is no more of a gracious and caring host than Margaret! She has an incredible sense of design and decor, is very attentive and responsive to every need, and is a very caring human being. If there would be a designation for super super-host, Margaret would be at the top of that list. There are so many amenities on the property and in the neighbourhood, that both kids and adults always found something entertaining or active to do. The proximity between activities at Horseshoe / Moonstone and Orillia made it extremely convenient. It was a pleasure and privilege to stay with you, and get to know you and your family! Thank you immensely for every little and big thing!!

Highly Recommend!

We feel very lucky to have rented Margaret’s apartment for the 2020/2021 ski season. Our son ski race’s out of the Heights of Horseshoe and this was the perfect home base. Not only is the hill only a few minutes away, it’s located pretty new subdivision with access to groomed walking/ cross-country ski trails. We didn’t take advantage of it, but there’s also a cute skating pond. The apartment itself is even better in person. It’s new, bright, modern and spacious, it really doesn’t feel like a basement apartment. We had a lot of fun hanging out in front of the fire place & having dinner at the island. Our host, Margaret was gracious & helpful, always asking if we needed anything, but not obtrusive. She went above & beyond with a fully stocked bathroom & even wine & flowers. More than we expected! We hope to stay here again.
