Relax and enjoy life on island time at Sea Byrd. There's no better moment than now to make lasting vacation memories with your friends and family without breaking the bank. From the ideal location on quiet Byrd Street, all that Edisto Beach has to offer is within reach. The beach is less than 5 minutes away, making for a leisurely walk to the sand and roar of the Atlantic Ocean. Homecooked, Lowcountry meals enjoyed in the living/dining/kitchen combination are a tradition here just like building sandcastles and wearing flip flops. This classic floorplan is perfect groups of 10 offering four bedrooms, 3 with Queen beds and one room with 2 sets of bunk beds as well as 2 shared bathrooms. Relish in the sweet breeze and privacy from either the sun deck or the shady screened porch. Bring or rent bicycles for a fun way to get around the island and gain a new point of view. Restful Edisto traditions begin here! No Smoking. No Pets.

This is an older beach house which we loved. It could have been cleaner. We cleaned before using anything. The beds slept nice. The sheets were clean however the comforters had not been laundered for a while. Sand on top and blood stains on the master bedroom comforter. Location was very nice especially with renting a golf cart. The front screened in porch was very nice to sit and relax.

We are glad the beds slept well and that the location worked perfectly for your group. We do want to sincerely apologize for the cleanliness concerns you noted, particularly regarding the master bedroom comforter. While bed linens are laundered at every turnover, bulkier items like comforters are done on a rotating basis and it is clear those were overdue - that is something we should have caught and we are sorry it was not up to the standard you deserved. We have addressed it with our housekeeping team. Please know that if you ever encounter something like this during a future stay, do not hesitate to reach out to us right away and we will have it taken care of promptly. Great location

Great house in a great location. Very short walk to the beach and on a beautiful, quiet street. Kitchen was well stocked with pretty much everything we needed. Company that handled check in was very efficient and great to work with. Definitely recommend this house.

Great time!

We loved our weekend here! The house is spacious and well equipped for a large group - we found everything we needed in the kitchen, and we appreciated the books and board games. Nice outdoor seating areas as well, and the outdoor shower was great! The walk to the beach was about four minutes. Note that, like many Edisto house rentals, sheets and towels are not included - you have to bring your own. That's a lot of linen that we had to bring for our large group!
