We had a wonderful stay in Newry! The home was extremely clean, comfortable, and perfect for a large group. We had 10 adults and 10 children, and one of the things we appreciated most was that everyone had their own personal sleeping quarters. With such a large group, having enough space and privacy made a huge difference.The house was spacious enough for everyone to be together and enjoy the weekend without ever feeling crowded. It was incredibly comfortable, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a great stay.We had an awesome time and would absolutely recommend this home to other families or large groups visiting the Newry/Sunday River area. We would definitely stay here again!

Great mountain views. Great kitchen areas. The host was spot on with arrival and departure instructions. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and look forward to re-booking next year.

Tim was an excellent host, going above and beyond to address a few small issues we had during our stay. The house is well set up for a large group (we had parts of 8 families during our stay), with plenty of activities such as ping pong, foosball, a poker table and the hot tubs. Sunday River was an easy 9 minute drive. We really enjoyed our stay!

Best Getaway!

The place was excellent! Great place to stay all year around. Tim was great as he stayed in communication throughout the stay. Highly recommend!

Great for large group and large families.

At first, a little disappointed in homes exterior condition, but once we were moved in completely forgot about that because to property was so great for large family vacation.

Family reunion

Great property that accommodated multiple families and age groups very well. Plenty of space for everyone. Tim the host was very helpful and always available.

Amazing home for large groups

We had an amazing stay at this property in Newry. It was perfectly located, only being a 10 minute drive to Sunday River. There was a ton of entertainment for our group, and Tim was an incredible host who was always responsive and available. We will definitely be back!

There was 15 of use celebrating 3 50’s birthday.s. Such amazing time. Plenty of rooms..

I would rent again for sure. The view is amazing. Tim is the friendliest man we known..

Great accommodations

Truly fit 24 comfortably. Tim was great with everything. The two kitchen made meal prep a breeze. Wonderful views of the mountain.

Lots of room

There was 16 adults that enjoyed all the space and amenities. It will be hard to find another place with the amount of space that we had for future reunions.

great for family gatherings

This is the perfect house for my family's summer reunion. The manager was very responsive and helpful. There are so many great spaces to gather. We especially appreciated having two kitchens and my younger cousins spent a lot of fun time in the pool. Thank you so much!

Family vacation

We had our family of 19 stay for a week. There was plenty of room to gather but all have our own space. We had a fantastic time. Tim was very responsive and helpful.

Great group house!

Listing matches reality quite well. Our group was happy to have so much space and a great location for Sunday river skiing. The host was very helpful and responsive, and was the most proactive host I’ve ever had when it comes to managing snow fall on the property to make sure we could get in and out

Great views and location

Overall the house is great…lots of rooms for large groups. There are lots of minor repairs thst need to be done, the deck and pool deck need work. Tim is great and took care of what issues we needed to have fixed. Overall we had a great time here!

Robert, we've done a lot of major repairs and have plans for new decks/pool in the future. Will continue working on the minor issues when bookings slow down in the fall!!!!

Thanksgiving trip 2024

We had a family group of 14 this year. This home is very large, every room has a private bath, a movie theater, 2 hot tubs, spectacular views of the mountains!! The home was large enough to accommodate our group. The host was excellent with communication and addressing our needs! Very nice stay! I would recommend this place to large families with children! Tim and Donna our hosts were lovely!

Mountainside family getaway

Every year I plan a trip with my family/close friends. I can honestly say this year was the best experience we had. We had an awesome host, he always checked up on how we were doing and heated the pool daily for us, I actually had the privilege of meeting Tim, one of the owners, and he was a great guy. The view was amazing and the property was well maintained. My family and I would love to come back to this property in the future!

First, I want to say thank you to the host Tim, he is a great guy, and try's to be funny (Ha - Ha). Our rooms were exceptionally clean, they have two kitchens so plenty of space, with that amount of people it worked out great, two hot tubs very clean so everyone enjoyed them. The weather was not hot enough to use the large pool, but the views are wonderful. Every year we give this to our family and their kids as a Christmas present - we had twenty-four people and plenty of room for everyone, we like to have fun, but we do get loud laughing and fooling. My mom is eighty-eight and she just loves having everyone together. We had lots of laughs playing games at the large tables and watching games in the media room. One of my nephews left some clothes and baseball hats in the bedroom Tim called and told me that he is going to mail them back to us. Tim is a just a wonderful host, not many people would go out of their way to do that, so, if you are thinking about renting this property, think no longer just book it. You will have an enjoyable time. Anything you need Tim is there to help. Tim thank you again for helping to make our stay enjoyable. Hope to see you again. Patty & Jon

Spectacular views.

One important thing the listing does not mention, owner lives in the premises and keeps an eye on everything. House was nice overall, our family really had a great time. Location is great, awesome pool, amazing views. House looks like a club, it does need a lot of small maintance repair but nothing major. Tim was very nice and quick with all the questions we had. Overall it was a nice experience.

Great set up multi-family friends trip!

We had a large group of friends with all different aged children and the set up was great with stuff to do for all ages, foosball and pool table for older kids and swing set for the littles, the media room and pool was fun for everyone. Like other reviews have said the property manager lives on premise under the pool house. He was there at check-in and when we needed him when the A/C and oven acted up, but other than that gave us our space. I would recommend that the main property description include a note explaining the arrangement. Tim was responsive and we could tell he really cared about our stay and wanted us to enjoy the place.

The house is incredible for a large group to enjoy a vacation, you can't deny that. But, overall it is in disrepair and we experienced multiple safety incidents during our stay. There were broken tiles in the entryway, one which got stuck in a child's foot. A terrible infestation of bees, three of us were stung towards the end of our stay and it made the outdoor areas unusable. Also upon our arrival the property manager informed us of a recent water leak in one of the ceilings that they were in the process of fixing but hadn't had time to complete the repair yet. The problem was that there was mold growing in the ceiling and that is just unacceptable to allow guests to stay in the house while there is mold. On top of the safety issues there were broken appliances, light bulbs out, dog hair in carpets and bed sheets, broken cabinets, busted fridge drawers, slider doors that barely opened, non-functional shower heads, etc. I could go on.We tried to resolve this directly with the property manager not wanting to write a bad review but eventually they put the blame on us for not letting them know about all of the issues sooner. I'm sorry, but it's not our job to provide a report of all of the issues. It's their job to know what condition their property is in and keep up with maintenance and repairs.We were never able to resolve the issue and they told us to "go through VRBO" so here we are. I cannot recommend anyone stay at this property.

Lindsey complained on the way out the door. She didn’t allow us opportunity to make things better. She demanded a couple thousand dollars or she would report her ‘list’ of problems. Lindsey used two different names, one while booking and then, a different last name while filing for a refund. Both , Verbo, and her credit card refused her a refund. We received good reviews before and after she arrived. Definitely, she is not welcomed back!!
