Loved our stay at the Shady Shack. Very clean, great location, and had everything we needed. Loved the back porch and the fenced yard for our dog Lucy. Very close to a great dog friendly beach. Beach was clean and not at all crowded. We would stay here again.

Very well appointed cottage. We didn't want for anything. Great location too. So easy to go to Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan. Our fur babies really enjoyed the fenced yard. It was just as expected; like a home away from home. Highly recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The host is very responsive. The house is clean and has a large yard along with a private beach on the sound. We especially like it because it has a fenced in yard for our large dog.

We loved the Shady Shack! It was very clean, well stocked kitchen, bed was comfy and we loved the screened in porch. Our pups had a good time. Note there is not an ice maker but there are ice trays. Might want to grab a bag. The Live Oaks are just beautiful and the house is very peaceful. There is a small private beach you can walk to. We chose to take our pups to Fort Morgan, toured the Fort then we went to the beach (dog friendly ) on the bay side. We had dinner at Jesse’s On the Bay (make reservations). Martha was easy to work with. Recommend this cabin for dog lovers like us!

Perfect small house for a getaway and wonderful setup for fur babies or kiddos. This home is on a beautiful piece of property with a screened in back porch that makes it enjoyable regardless of the weather. Mrs. Martha is always such a nice and accommodating host!

The Shady Shack is a quaint, peaceful, off‑the‑beaten‑path cottage. We loved the quiet and the serene view from the screened‑in back porch each evening — easily one of our favorite parts of the stay.The cottage was spotless and stocked with all the essentials you’d need for a short getaway. Martha, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She stayed attentive throughout the entire process, and both check‑in and checkout were effortless, making our stay completely hassle‑free.A huge plus for us was the fenced‑in yard for our two small pups. They were able to run around, burn off all their extra energy, and just be dogs — all without a single worry.If you’re looking for a quiet, clean, tucked‑away spot that’s still close to restaurants, grocery stores, and most importantly, the beach, The Shady Shack is a fantastic choice.We’ll definitely be staying here again. Ft Morgan vacation

We enjoyed our stay and fishing in the area. The fenced backyard was nice. It made having our dogs with us easier. We would definitely stay here again.

It was quiet and cute! Perfect for families and pets! We didn’t bring ours because they no longer travel well but it would have been perfect. The location is good and close to the beach and town! Would stay again!

Quick getaway

We were all very comfortable, the fenced yard was very convenient to let our dog out safely. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay convenient to the beach.

Very quiet and secluded location

Very nice place accessible to the more quiet and less touristy area of Gulf Shores/Ft Morgan. Nice place for the pups and fenced yard. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Easy check in, cottage was very clean and comfortable . Enjoyed the nearby dog beach and returning to the cottage to relax. Very nice stay, dogs loved it and so did we!

winter getaway

Very clean with wonderful fenced yard for our fur baby. Quiet area, with only short drive to pet friendly beaches. This was our 2nd stay there and will surely stay again.

Far from a Shady Shack…my “Sweet Home Alabama”

Off the beaten path, thank goodness…but not far from beaches, shopping and local attractions! Perfect location and rental for people and their pets. It was very difficult to leave…

Great place for dogs and kids

This exceeded our expectations, pictures did not do it justice. Very nicely decorated and the fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Home

Perfect location, quiet and peaceful, great for pets, especially senior dogs like ours, and as our first VRBO experience we have nothing but great things to say about the home. Definitely looking forward to returning next year for our now annual vacation to the Gulf Coast
