The apartment was immaculate and nicely furnished. It is a quiet and peaceful retreat. Very convenient to 23rd Ave shops and stores. There is an EV Charger on site which was convenient for us. Our host Mary-Yoko was very friendly and helpful. We followed her recommendation for dinner which was excellent.

A beautiful, quiet, perfectly located apartment for a Portland stay. We love exploring the west side parks and this address keeps one up and out of the city business while accessing the trails. The hip NW neighborhood is just below. The host was away so we didn’t meet in person , but were readily available at all times by messaging. The kitchen has everything needed for lite dining and the bed was super comfortable. Living room, perfect. All was clean and serene. Our stay was short but we could have stayed a week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Location was a very short distance from shopping, wonderful restaurants, and Trader Joe’s. The property was quiet, spacious, and immaculate. It also had all the basic amenities and more. Would definitely stay here again - it was wonderful!

We loved our stay. Very clean and comfortable for 2-4 guests (if using the extra room.) We particularly enjoyed how peaceful and cool it was on the balcony, even in the heat of July. You feel like you are in a forest yet the city is right there. We will book again for sure!

Blissful, beautiful, serene, tasteful...so many words of praise for this spot. I enjoyed the thoughtful design, high quality linens, and comfortable furniture so much. The meditation room was a precious treat! Highly recommend. Hosts are delightful too.

Peaceful place to rest and relax

My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay at Mary Yoko’s place in the northwest section of the city. Lovely and quiet location to relax after exploring Portland. Mary Yoko is a wonderful host and we hope to return at some point in the future!

Lovely Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at the "Zen themed retreat". Very relaxing and quiet. It was just a short drive to all the wonders of Portland. We loved it.

We loved the location and felt it was easy to access the things we wanted to do in the city and out. The dedicated parking space was a huge plus. The property is as described and pictured but much more. The space is in a beautiful neighborhood. It was tastefully decorated, clean, quiet, and comfortable with attention to detail. Hiking, shops, and restaurants are close by. Highly recommend!!

This was an incredibly wonderful stay when I visited Portland in January 2026. I really like that shoes aren't allowed to be worn inside because the the property was flawlessly clean. It's incredibly rare for me to feel comfortable enough to walk around barefoot at a place other than my own home, so this rule was a very positive one for me. The kitchenette is well equipped and it's obvious that care was taken to ensure guests have a peaceful retreat. Mary-Yoko and Terry are delightful and welcoming hosts. I would absolutely try to stay here again if/when I ever come back to Portland!

Spacious zen retreat

Very tastefully appointed and spacious apartment in a beautiful neighborhood! Had everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. The location is up in the hills in a beautiful forested setting but is still close to all of the restaurants and shops just down the hill. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend

Perfect Portland Getaway

This place is tucked away in the trees making it a delightful little getaway while still being close to all the bustle Portland has to offer. The host really took the time to stock the apartment with all the things you might need with additional thoughtful touches to make it feel cozy. The sauna js a real big perk as well!!

Great location- with attention to detail

This is a perfect spot to refresh and restore before and after you explore Portland and beyond. This is indeed a Zen retreat - in the hills of NW Portland feels like being in the trees. Includes meditation room with infrared sauna. Easy walk down hill to great restaurants and shops or up hill to Forest park trails.

A peaceful retreat

Loved our stay! Our wonderful host was welcoming and helpful. Everything was clean and very well maintained. The perfect location for what we wanted. Quiet and tranquil environment but close enough to all the fabulous restaurants, coffee shop etc of the gorgeous Alphabet District.

Lovely spot in great area of Portland!

Wonderful stay in gorgeous, forested area close to parks, dining, Japanese gardens. The unit was fully equipped for a relaxing trip to Portland. We felt like we were in a treehouse retreat! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place, Mary-Yoko!
