Cute cottage , 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom,can sleep 8 , one king bed , one queen , one full size , the other sleeping areas are pull out sofas . less then 1 mile from Fanning Springs State park , minutes from Ottter Springs and Hart springs , approximately 30 minutes to Ginnie springs , Blue and Rum island. Kayaking, paddle boarding and close to boat ramps to the Suwannee River. Property is secluded but near major highway , located on 1 acre , lots of shade , lots of privacy , no contact check in , 40 minutes to Gainesville, 20 minutes to Horshoe beach , close to Manatee Springs

Disappointed,

We ended up leaving and never stayed. The bright, white cleam phoyos were very, very, deceptive. Dirty sink, dishes and rugs. Had to go through bathroom to get to main area from back bedroom. Recommend spray hose, rake yard, amd clean furniyure in and out to be able to sit down

Clean home with a great host

The house was just as described. It fit our family great! The host was amazing, we didn’t experience anything negative, but she was very good at communicating. We will book again if we come back to the area.

Peaceful Stay

The property was very nice and peaceful. The porch was awesome. The place was very peaceful. The house was clean and decorated very nice. The owner was very nice and friendly and very helpfull.

Wonderful

This place has just about everything you need in the kitchen. It even had a crock pot so i made the kids a tater tot casserole for breakfast Saturday morning!! Very clean.

Super relaxing

Went with my daughter, son in law and two toddler granddaughters as well as my dog. It was super relaxing! Kids got to run around and be kids and dog got to run around and be a dog!! We loved that the springs were just around the corner!

Awesome place to stay

We arrived on June 26 2023 and and left on 29th. We walk through the front door and found it was clean and awesome cool. Everything was so neatly arranged. There was also complementary coffee ,drinks and snacks. It is completely furnished with towels, linen anything that you need for a house it was there. We recommend this place 100%.

Home away from home!

Each time we stay here we don't want to go home. So Peaceful, relaxing, clean, stocked with pretty much everything you'll need. Staying there has made us want to buy the place... but it's not for sale. Just our wishful thinking 😊 Virginia is the absolute sweetest and accommodating person we have ever dealt with for a vacation rental. We already have our next trip to this lovely place booked!! It was a great place to stay when we came up to watch the game! It has everything you need in case you might’ve forgotten anything, there are perfect little restaurants close by and even more a few miles down the road. It was perfect distance to Gators stadium.

Great family stay in Florida!

My husband and three kids (ages 7-12) stayed here with our dog while visiting family. It was a great experience; the cottage is cute and comfortable, with some separate seating areas and thoughtful touches like a bottle of wine and treats for the pup. There are some games for the kids, both board games and outside games. The host was very accommodating and easy to work with, and she was very responsive to messages. We highly recommend this rental and would definitely stay here again!

Spring vacation

Virginia’s place was very comfortable and very close to many of the springs. It was very easy to communicate with her. She was very nice to leave us s’more kits for the children, wood for the fire pit, and all kinds of coffee to start the day. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

A perfect get away!

We loved our stay at this property. There are springs in every direction which were beautiful. The property and our host were amazing. There were plenty of towels and blankets and she even left us a bottle of wine and a blanket snd treats for our doggos! We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Amazing

Simply amazing. Love the location. The yard was perfect for our two dogs. The deer walking into the property was fun to watch from the porch. Plenty of room and cozy. We will be back very soon.

Cozy Cottage

The property owner maintained communication with us and wanted to be sure we arrived safely. We were greeted by a beautiful doe in the backyard upon our arrival. Inside the cottage we found the property owner had left us what we'd need to make s'mores on the kitchen counter...a thoughtful gesture. The house was comfortable and gave us each plenty of space to rest. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than scheduled because Tropical Storm Elsa was bordering hurricane strength and was heading our way. As we were pulling out to leave, the doe and her baby made their appearance in the backyard to see us off. A peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed it very much and hope to return next year. Thank you, Ms. Virginia!

Fanning springs family vacation

Check in was a breeze, easy communication. I was a little concerned about the single bathroom situation, since there’s 7 of us, but, it turned out to be a very minor inconvenience. The property is beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed evenings out by the fire pit making s’mores. The amenities were great. The kitchen was well stocked, even the pots and pans were nice, not cheap like some other places we’ve stayed. There were plenty of towels, which was nice. The place has plenty of seating, never felt cramped or crowded. Beds were a good size and comfy. Location has good access to local springs. Fanning springs itself is less than 5 minutes away. Would definitely stay again.

This is the absolute perfect cozy home for any family. Above and beyond extras too many to detail. Games, listings for every spring in detail. We went to Gilchrist Blue springs and it was beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful experience

Quaint and peaceful

This experience was beautiful. The property owner had everything ready and supplied every . I mean from shampoo to wood for the fire and a bottle of bubbly. It was home away from home. She had hand written directions to pamphlets to all the springs and restaurants. The yard was large and beautiful. Many games to choose from and a game room on the porch . I would definitely re visit .

So many outdoor features and provisions!

You know how you go to Grandma's lake house, and there are quirky things there but you have such a good time it becomes a place you love to be? That's what happened with us here. At first, we were put off by the faint trace of cigarette smoke in every room. You can tell it isn't currently a smoking residence, but if you have ever bought furniture from a smoker you know how hard it is to get the smell out. We ate every meal there, and some of the pans/dishes still had traces of the last guests-probably due to no dishwasher. The master was accessible through the one bathroom, so if someone was in there showering, you were stuck either in or out of the master bedroom. That said, by the 2nd night, we truly didn't notice the smoke smell. We came to embrace the quirks of the place, and I have to say this owner had more provisions than you could think of. Truly, I could have eliminated an entire bag of stuff I brought. Everything from charcoal to shampoo, aluminum, foil, salt/pepper, even waters in fridge were provided. She had games for the kids to play, the fire pit was nice for s'mores and the charcoal grill was fantastic for our chicken night. We could enjoy hanging out at many places inside and outside of the property. It was so relaxing. Someone said it seemed small. I have to disagree as we had FOUR teenagers with us and we couldn't even hear them at night due to the layout. (Note-middle bedroom is in the walk through area of house to get to bathroom, but it wasn't an issue.) We even worked out the bathroom/shower arrangement where it wasn't a problem. This owner remembered we were celebrating my twins graduation, and had really cute graduate balloons with Hershey's bars for them upon arrival! How nice was that? She had meticulous notes telling us about local things to do, where things were, and she left her number if we needed anything. It was these personal touches that made us love our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to return. I will say that Fanning Springs was a bit of a let down, but we were super close (15 min drive) to Manatee Springs which was amazing! We checked out a few other springs but this was our favorite by far. We did a manatee tour at Crystal River (hour away) that was really neat. We got ice from the ice machine down the road every day, shopped DG and did Walmart pickup for groceries, and went to the Farmer's Market a block away from Walmart. Good, good, trip. Thank you GiGi!
