Are you looking for a getaway where you can sit outside and relax
by the fire pit or in the hot tub and gaze at the night sky? Starview
is the perfect place for a romantic getaway for two or a couples
weekend away. There is a king sized bed downstairs and one
queen bed in the upstairs loft. Comfortable seating and a 50"
smart tv greet you in the cozy living room and a full kitchen is also
provided just in case you want to stay in and eat. Outdoors,
guests can fish, swim, and paddle board or kayak in the pond,
collect your own farm fresh organic eggs and feed the miniature
horses Bonnie and Clyde. Come and visit Starview, I promise you
will not want to leave!

Please Note: You are renting a cabin on a small family ranch. We
and our family live onsite and we also have 2 other cabin rentals.
And, while we are just a short drive to town, we are still in the Hill
Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer,
Racoons, ETC) Please be aware of your surroundings, and take
caution while driving at night. You may also encounter various
bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND
sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest
control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee
pests or bugs will not be visible.

Great secluded location, loved being outside of town and away from the crowds. The night time views were amazing. Fishing in the pond was N excellent stress reliever.

Honeymoon Getaway

The tiny home was so relaxing and a perfect place for our honeymoon. It was so peaceful sitting out on the deck watching the sunset or enjoying the hot tub. We almost didn’t want to leave each morning we there.

I can’t say enough nice things about our experience. This place is perfect. Country and clean. Modern touches yet comfy home vibe. The kitchen has everything you could need. Details are amazing! Hot tub was heaven!

Great stay!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. We really enjoyed seeing the animals on the property and the farm fresh eggs the owners gave us for breakfast! The hot tub was a great plus too. Not too far from everything either. I would love to return. I will note that if you are above 6 foot, the shower head is lower so keep that in mind.

Disappointed

We were disappointed to find out that there would be no opportunity to interact with the dogs, goats, miniature horses and donkey. We were also looking forward to fresh chicken eggs. All of these things were referred to multiple times by previous visitors. That was the main reason we chose this place for our granddaughter to experience the animals. It would be very helpful to explicity note that there is no dining table and chairs. Also, instructions on how to use the heating/cooling system would be very useful. We did receive helpful instructions when we called for assistance.

Cozy, quiet place in the country

Located just outside Fredericksburg, a short drive into town, was this cozy little, but comfortable cabin. The amenities were awesome and included all you would need for a comfortable stay away from home. The deck with table, chairs and jacuzzi was a very nice touch with a outdoor grill and fire pit as well. The kitchen had all the basics and was in good condition. The king bed was awesome, great size and the memory foam mattress was so comfortable. The bed linens were very nice too. The robes in the closet were a nice touch as were the farm fresh eggs. Only two negatives, the lack of blinds in the bedroom didn't give privacy and caused waking with the sun and the road is long and rutted (understandable since it's caliche and in the country but is worth a mention). When we had a small concern with the hot tub, the owner was quick to respond. We will definitely stay again.

HORRIBLE kept property!

This listing was falsely advertised! We showed up 5 hours from home, expecting to find a secluded country cabin! What we found was a cute cabin with an EXTREMELY TRASHY rv camper 20ft from the front door of the cabin…. Staring straight at the hot tub, my husband and I were looking forward to enjoying! This was not advertised at all in the property description or pictures shown on VRBO. Grass not mowed, run down sheds in view, just completely trashy! Although the cabin was extremely clean and absolutely cute….. the property was horrible! We were issued a full refund for the rental….. but that doesn’t compensate for the ruined getaway due to inaccurate description and pictures!

The owner has provided a response to your review, here it is: "We are so sorry that you arrived to something you weren’t expecting. We always want our guests to absolutely love their stay with us and do everything we can to be sure it is enjoyable. We have since removed the camper. The shed that you mentioned is our well house, and as far as not mowing the grass; we live on acreage and we allow the native grasses to grow and do not cut them so they will re-seed each year." Catherine and her family are great owners who care about their guests and their experiences. Their property is well cared for and they take all comments/complaints very seriously. Perfect getaway with amazing view of the stars!

Absolutely amazing and friendly staff. Tons of things to do there on the property not to mention 10 minutes from downtown. Would definitely stay again and recommend!!

Best Cabin!

Our trip to this cabin was so amazing! My wife and I had the most pleasant experience here. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay around Fredericksburg.
