Just 21 miles from historic Charleston, Kiawah Island is nestled in semi-tropical wilderness, picturesque marshes, and ten miles of wide, unspoiled, golden beaches.
Our NEWLY RENOVATED, lovely cottage on the cul-de-sac in Sparrow Pond is conveniently located in West Beach with only a seven-minute walk to the ocean, five minute walk to the private pool, and Cougar Point's beautiful new clubhouse (includes a great casual restaurant)is only a quick one minute walk and is one of the five golf courses available for you to play on the island. Enjoy a leisurely three mile bike ride to Freshfields marketplace past the beautiful marsh where you will can stroll the many shops and restaurants and enjoy the outdoor movie nights. Our renters often comment that we have the BEST LOCATION on the island!
Do not worry about bringing anything but your clothes and food. We provide beach towels and beach chairs too! Bike rentals are available at discounted rates and can be waiting for you as your arrive and picked up after you depart to cruise the beach or the 30+ miles of biking trails around the island. Be sure to make time for sunsets on the beach or perhaps you would prefer our wrap-around deck which lends PRIVACY and encourages quiet downtime. WARNING! The fountains in the lagoon behind us are mesmerizing and might cause afternoon naps!!!! Rental guests must park in three parking spaces underneath the cottage in the driveway. Please No parking in front of the cottage on the street.

Our family of five (with three school-aged children) stayed here for a week. The size, layout and location of the property are top notch. The kitchen was stocked with essentials; the linens and towels provided were great. The beds were comfortable; and bathrooms worked well. I would love to stay here again bc the host was great. However, my family found it difficult to be truly comfortable due to the following: picture frames on every nightstand/end table, excessive amount of decorative pillows, bulky furniture overcrowding the main living area. If those issues were addressed, I would book here again in a heartbeat! Still a five star rating.

My girlfriends and I loved the house. It was great to sit out on the large deck with a view of the lagoon. The house has everything you need. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Communication with the owner was exceptional.

This is an amazing little gem of a cottage on Kiawah.Warm and inviting , felt as if we were vacationing in "our family" cottage.Cottage is clean and well organized with comfortable furnishings especially couches and beds. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pan, silverware, glasses etc.Many spices were available in the cabinets and fridge held condiments . This was amazing for we did not need to buy a whole bottle of ketchup or mustard for the little bit that we needed. Books and games , both for adults and children are in the cottage. There are 2 televisions. Extra towels were available including beach towels.Cottage comes with beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, and a beach wagon. Walk to the beach is about 10 minutes ( I'm a slow walker - bad hip) , pool about 6-7 minutes.Thank you to Sandy, the owner, for such detailed instructions and informations sent to us ahead of our departure for our vacation. Her communication with us was outstanding. We will for sure return !!!

This was such a location for our visit! The property was very clean and orderly. The communication from the owner was superlative. We knew what to expect on arrival, including the fact that we should expect some spices and condiments, etc., to be available in the property should we decide to use them. We were provided suggestions of things to do. Even though we were familiar with the area, they still proved to useful and added to our enjoyment. The beds were comfortable, the linens were fresh, and everything was in working order if not brand new. The property is convenient to everything. Its layout is very conducive to a gathering. The main living space is roomy, well laid out, and comfortable. Thank you so much for a wonderful day with my kids and in-laws! We all have more stories to tell together now.

A fantastic vacation spot for the entire family!

A fantastic property surrounded by the best there is to offer; pool, beach, and scenic low country habitat. Sandy provides a very detailed and organized list of notes, check in/out process, and things to do in the area. Wonderfully located next to everything, including Cougar Point golf course.

Wonderful stay
We loved our stay at Sandra’s cottage in Kiawah. Quick walk to the beach, great, open layout and everything we needed to enjoy a perfect week. Clean, well maintained property - highly recommend!

Family getaway
Sandy was great to work with! She is very organized and communicates well. The house has everything we could need or want-even beach chairs, fully stocked kitchen, etc…

Great spot on beautiful Kiawah
Our family of five had a great stay at this property for a summer week vacation. It’s in a great location on Kiawah island, short walks to a pool and the beach, and a short bike ride to the nature center and night heron park. We really enjoyed it!

Beautiful stay on Kiawah Island!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the week. What a beautiful place to visit!
Sandy made sure we had everything we needed, from beach chairs to towels,... the property was perfect for our family of 6.
We highly recommend this property and location.

Our family lives in Atlanta where my husband and I attended Atlanta high schools and colleges. Our three girls were all raised in Atlanta attending different colleges in Georgia.

Our family has grown up visiting this beautiful island and enjoy wonderful memories . My husband proposed to me at Mingo Point in 1987 and our oldest daughter was married at the PGA clubhouse in 2012. Our children continue to spend annual vacations and holidays at Kiawah with us and now we are enjoying it with our grandchildren!!

Sparrow Pond is the ideal location on Kiawah Island. You can hear the surf from our cottage and view the ocean in the distance. The fountains on the lagoon behind us are mesmerizing especially watching the sunrise. The culdesac is wonderful for having children play without the worry of traffic. The free (for our guests) pool is only a quick 5 minute walk and the beach is only a 7 minute walk. Very safe!
