Very cute and comfortable home with gorgeous views and a dock that we practically lived on. Our dog loved running around the yard fetching sticks. My daughter wants us to plan another trip at the same house soon!The owner was very responsive when I had to contact her about a little issue with the lock and everything was easily resolved. Overall, it was an enjoyable and peaceful stay.

This place was great! We had a nice relaxing weekend. I only wish we could have swam but with all the jellyfish in the water we didn’t want to risk it. Taking the kayaks out was fun tho.

This is a perfect rural getaway on the Bay! Great set up for families with kids of all ages and dogs. Very spacious and comfortable inside and out with lots of shade areas. Highly capable and well stocked kitchen with modern clean bathrooms. Just pack in your food, drinks, and gear and enjoy the island vibes.

“The communication and check-in process were both easy and seamless. The updated bathrooms and comfortable bedding made the stay very relaxing. We especially enjoyed the fire pit, the peaceful solitude, and spending time on the kayak taking in the river views. We also had a great meal at Newsom’s, a casual no-frills restaurant about 10 minutes away, with surprisingly excellent food. Overall, a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.”

We greatly enjoyed our stay and exploring the area. The house is just like what in a retirement home with gameroom downstairs, a nice fire pit to enjoy at night by the water, and plenty of room. Next time we'd like to bring our grandkids to enjoy.

Lovely glasses-in side porch, easy to remember code entry, fully Boho style house, complete with stencils and fully modern kitchen appliances. Beautiful new showers. Cozy reading room. Ample living room seating with lots of space. Like your live edge table. Comfy pillows and mattresses! No neck aches. Can’t say enough about the beautiful water and outdoor activities available. Very family friendly.

Come experience the Northern Neck and relax on the water in historic Reedville, VA. Only 2.5 hrs from DC and 1.5 hours from Richmond, the Blue Crab Hideaway is located on a small peninsula off Cockrell's Creek near the Chesapeake Bay in the Northern Neck. You can see water from every room of the house! Enjoy the secluded atmosphere & many amenities such as kayaking, paddle boating, fishing/crabbing for blue crabs from our private dock. Come find your inner calm & enjoy our favorite happy place!

The Blue Crab Hideaway is a bright and colorful 2000 sq ft home located on 1 acre of land. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes all of your cooking and baking needs. There are 3 bedrooms, all recently furnished with new and modern furniture. A vintage reading room with plenty of books and board games is also available for use.

The house has high-speed internet (500 Mbps download) with no data cap, so you will be able to stream video through our Roku or any of your tablets/computers. There are no issues working remotely or doing virtual school! Also, there is a desk and chair for your virtual workstation in the master bedroom.

Additionally, the basement has been made into a game room with air hockey table, ping pong table, foosball and poker table with many more games available! Also, there are laser lights and a karaoke speaker for those fun family nights with your favorite tunes.

Restaurants (open year-round), coffee shop (coming soon) and ice cream parlor (open in the spring/summer) are within walking distance. As you walk you will be passing by some of the historical mansions that Reedville is known for.

2 well trained dogs are welcome but must be crated when you are not home.

We've been visiting the Northern Neck for years, so it's only fitting that we own a home there. There's nothing quite like getting out on a kayak, fishing, crabbing, or swimming from the private pier. If you'd like to bring your boat, we can give you directions to the closest boat ramp (which is very nice, pretty new, and close by).
