This luxury Vacation Rental is our Large Octagon shaped two-story Private Home that is located downtown in the Heart of Steinhatchee. Tall Vaulted ceilings throughout the entire home. Your stay in the Octagon House puts your short boat ride literally minutes from the gulf with the best scalloping and fishing in the area.
The house is located across the street from our Brand New Deep Water PRIVATE Boat Dock on the Steinhatchee river. Which was Built after Hurricane Helene.This dock can accommodate 3 boats!
And has Large Fish 🎣cleaning station.
A Blast for the entire family!
The Steinhatchee Community Center is right across street w/ Full Playground for children that is available 24/7.
Full Kitchen Amenities with Brand New Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator w/ Filtered Water in the door, Ice Maker, Microwave, Stove and Dishwasher, Direct TV and Blue Ray Player in the Family room.

Each of the 3 Bedrooms also have Smart Tv's with Direct TV as well.

Our Dock is located directly on the Steinhatchee River on Riverside Drive with multiple boat slips, Screened porch w/Swing, as well as a Fish & Scallop cleaning station with running water and electricity for all your boating needs. The Boat Ride from our dock out to Deadman's Bay is just minutes away.

Great property -great location and plenty of room

I stayed with multiple family members, sleeping arrangements were easy, and comfortable. There was great accommodations for entertaining upstairs and downstairs for multiple interests and a community playground right across the street. The boat house and dockage were easy to access and plenty of parking for vehicles and trailer, and even 1 block away from getting good breakfast and hot donuts too!

Spacious living area. Very clean. The game room (bottom floor) could use a bit more air conditioning in the summer months, but still a 5-star experience.

Steinhatchee scalloping river house

Wonderful location and awesome amenities. Beautiful, cleanly home. Hostess was extremely responsive. Our family had an great experience for our annual family scalloping trip. I highly recommend the Octagon House.

Wonderful time

We had a great time with our grown kids and grand daughter. House was amazing and the owners were wonderful. The owners were super helpful with early check in and any issue or question we had. Great location and we look forward to going again next year!

Nice home by Steinhatchee River w/ gulf access

The house was equipped with all ours needs. Our family loved the game room and it slept 8 adults comfortably. Owner was quick to reply and everything was perfect!

Fishing tournament

We were in town for a multi day fishing tournament. The home was beautiful and very clean. Perfect location, just down the street from the marina and all local restaurants. The golf cart came in handy not having to unload boats and tackle from the truck. We used the golf cart to get around to marina and restaurant. We had no hassles. The game room was awesome and we found we spent most of our time at the house in the game room.

Annual Guys Fishing Trip

This house was booked for our annual guys fishing trip. The house had plenty of room for seven men. The kitchen is well appointed and I'm glad it was. Due to the recent hurricane, the local eateries aren't back up and running full speed so we cooked at the house. The size of the house was perfect. Plenty of room for multiple vehicles and boats. Tom's of deck space and the dock easily accommodates three boats with room for another. The owner/host was extremely good with communication. Once we get next year's trip planned, we hope this place is available.

Annual scallop trip

Wow! This stay was amazing, the house was absolutely perfect for what we needed and the dock for the boat was perfect. We loved the game room (we might be competitive). This was the best scallop trip we have had and this was the 3rd year. We didn’t limit each day but we found plenty for us to enjoy. The short boat ride to the bay was nice with lots to see along the way. The house was super clean and super comfortable after a long day in the sun. We will definitely be back next year. Steinhatchee is such wonderful, quaint city.

Perfection on the river

Great house with amazing hosts. The house is just across the street from the boat house and floating dock. Always clean and welcoming. Downstairs has pool table, ping pong, and donkey Kong.

would not stay here again

I've never written a negative review in my life, and planned to address the issues we experienced directly with the owner, but upon departure and receiving a text accusing me of "taking apart the ice maker" (huh?) here I am. Throughout our stay the owner and property managers were aggressive in a way I've never experienced at any vacation rental. For example, upon arrival as we were unpacking, the property managers just showed up at the door, angry and accusing my husband of telling some other people (who the owner also rented her dock to with no mention of it to us) that they had to move their boat to the Sea Hag. My husband had done nothing of the sort and had to explain the little we knew as we had literally just arrived, then they calmed down. But ultimately, we felt unsettled after that experience for the rest of the trip. Another instance was the Direct TV was not working in two bedrooms. This was not a big deal, but I texted the owner to see if there was a fix. After spending time on the phone with Direct TV and not being able to get it to work, she texted me that I needed to have someone 18 or older there for a 4-hour window the following morning. I didn't respond to this text but thought that was strange and presumptuous as I was on vacation and not interested in waiting around for a cable guy. The final bizarre experience texting me pictures of the ice maker, which was broke upon arrival, and accusing me of taking it apart. Too much drama.

Annual scallop trip

Great place and a great location. The children’s park was a big bonus for our boys and the boat dock was plenty large and convenient. Ample parking space was welcomed too! Very clean and pleasant home!

Excellent accommodation, perfect location

Home was as advertised, game room was a huge hit with Teens and Adults remembering their teenage years with connect, and all the arcade games. Dock with cleaning station across the street, convenient especially if you take advantage of the available golf cart. Overall wonderful rental.

RENTER'S WARNING--DO NOT CONSIDER THIS PROPERTY

We rented the week of July 4th. we were so excited to be together and do some scalloping. Positives—property is nice, spacious kitchen proximity of dock/boat slip, game room NEGATIVES— When booking in December of last year, I knew for sure I would have at least 5 people with me. later learned our two teenage nieces would be able to come with us & as the listing says property accommodates up to 10 people, we didn’t see any issues with two extra. Carla accused me of dishonesty because of this and called me a liar!! On July 4th we had invited some friends to go scalloping with us on the boat for the day and when they arrived, Carla immediately began texting me asking what they were doing there and harassing me about the extra vehicles parked in the yard. the friend going on the boat had brought his smaller dog with him & Carla texted her concerns of a dog there I advised our friend and he promptly left with the dog and did not return! I had already paid a pet fee to have a dog there! this man was a RETIRED DECORATED MARINE VETERAN and we had invited him on the boat on July 4th as a treat to him- I meticulously cleaned everything prior to checkout even though I paid a cleaning fee already and she assessed extra fees for cleaning!! We even removed & disposed of our household trash bags ourselves! family staying nearby rentals watched the fireworks outside with us & she accused us of having a party and violating the no party rule!!! DO NOT CONSIDER THIS PLACE

Being in FL, you never know what the weather will bring. This home had activities to keep us entertained during the rainy times and close access to water to keep us ready for FL water life! Access to the boat dock, Childs park, golf cart, close access to everything needed/wanted! Clean, inviting, comfortable. Highly recommend

Repeat Renter!

Our group stayed here for the second time and enjoyed every minute. The house is great and has everything you need and more! There were several upgrades from last year that made our stay even better. The game room downstairs was perfect when we couldn’t be on the water because of weather.

Amazing home

This home provided ample amenities for our family to enjoy during our stay. The game room was a big hit providing hours of fun. The boat dock was big and easy to access. We can not wait to come back!!!

Great place to stay!

Great place to stay. Location is great. The golf cart is a nice bonus to have. The game room down stairs was also put to good use for the big group we had stay here. The house is close to everything, and the water is not too far of a walk, or a brief short golf cart ride. I will be staying here again next year.

Great House and Great Dock

We had an awesome experience staying here. The house was great and the dock was even better. The garage was an awesome place to hang out after a long day of fishing. We will fore sure rent this house again. Host was awesome!
