Nature lovers do NOT want to miss this cabin. It is 80 steps away from the Steinhatchee River, and only 1.5 miles (5-minute drive) away from the Gulf of Mexico. This is the perfect place for anyone who likes to boat, fish fresh or salt water, scallop, kayak, canoe, swim, bike, explore "real" Florida, or just sit back read, sunbathe, and relax beside the water.

The cabin is quaint and cozy with simple but comfortable furnishings for an amazing stay. There is a deck for visiting or grilling outside. Sleeps 7. The cabin now has an additional two small bedrooms.

Beautiful quiet stay

Nice clean place. It was nice to have the outside washing machine. We couldn’t get the dryer to work but we were able to line dry our items. Steinhatchee was hard hit by the hurricanes and is still recovering. We had some wonderful conversations with the local folks and feel for them as they work to recover. My wife has some back issues and a more supportive mattress would have been nice, but overall we had a wonderful time.

Great spot!

Accurate listing and great stay. Owner was very responsive and great to deal with. Dock was the highlight of the location.

The cabin was clean and comfortable for the two of us. The place is peaceful and a short drive to multiple restaurants. The boat dock is great. We spent a few evenings sitting on the dock fishing or just enjoying the wildlife. The owners were great. Would definitely stay again.

Cozy Cabin

I love staying here. It is quiet, close to amenities and good restaurants. The hosts are accommodating and friendly. I will be back and look forward to my next visit at the Cozy Cabin.

My stay

I really enjoyed staying here. It was very comfortable.. accommodating. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Just sad to see all the damage that was done in the area from the storm. I know you all will rebuild and do great. I will be back.

Cabin by the river.

I really enjoyed this day. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. It was quiet I had a nice work space. Enjoy the local restaurants. Looking forward to coming back in january.

Sons birthday trip

This is our second stay here and we loved it ! My son wanted to come for his birthday trip ! We also loved fishing off the boating dock , talking to the owners and petting the dogs !!! Will be back next year !! Thanks for having us !!:)

Perfect ‘home base’

Perfect ‘home base’ for our scallop trip. The property is beautifully maintained and the dock was an added bonus for us. We were able to keep the boat there and it made it a breeze going in and out on our adventures for the day. The place is clean and has everything you need. We are already looking at when we can get there again!

Great stay

Second time starting at this property. If you’re looking for a quiet, tucked away piece Florida this is it. Host was more than accommodating and look forward to booking this listing again for my annual trip. All you need to keep busy, even on a rainy day!

This rental is on the same property with the owners house and set back from the river. If you have a boat they have a dock to share. It was easy to communicate with the owners through VRBO. The place has what you need for cooking etc. On the down side, we couldn't get the TV sound to work or change channels. Also, there was no place to hang your clothes or things.

Exactly as described

My husband and I went for a short weekend getaway and were delighted with the cabin! It is the perfect size for a couple and was very clean. The use of the dock for our boat was an added bonus, the house is conveniently located to town and only about a 10 minute boat ride down the river to the ocean. We will definitely be back!

Couples Getaway

We absolutely loved staying here! It was the perfect size for a couple! The owners live next door, but you wouldn’t even know it! The dock was so peaceful! Already planning our return!

Great place to stay, convenient to everything Steinhatchee has to offer. Especially liked the owners three pups, they came to visit us almost every day.
