There is very little phone service in the area so the WiFi came in clutch during our stay.

JF and Sue provided us with many suggestions for places to visit and local recommendations prior to our visit as well as supplied us with many extras during our visit. The space was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is so peaceful and beautiful.

Perfect central location on MDI. The place was clean and had everything essential for our trip. The property was beautiful with a few small nature paths. We really enjoyed having the access point to SUP on Long Pond. Host was very helpful and quick to respond. Overall, it was a great stay.

What a wonderful stay in a beautiful location! JF was a very gracious and generous host. It was such a pleasure to meet him! The beds were very comfy and the place was clean. The binder with local information was super helpful. The grounds around the house were so peaceful and our stay here was fantastic!!

Lovely and welcoming place to call home during our visit to Mount Desert Island. Hosts are thoughtful, attentive but not intrusive. Beautiful property with lots of “perks” including pond access and peaceful paths that lead to quiet, relaxing spots. Easy access to everything we wanted to do in the area!

Property was great price and had lots of amenities, we went kayaking and explored the area. The host (J.F.) is incredibly communicative and replied quick whenever we needed something. Lovely stay with lots of great amenities, and the host went above and beyond.

We have completely fallen in love with Maine. JF and Sue’s apartment was the perfect base camp for our Acadia adventures. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchenette/grill area had everything we needed, etc. Their property was enchanted with the streams and woods and we enjoyed drinking hot chocolate by the pond! JF and Sue went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Worked perfectly for our 2 day Acadia/bar harbor visit. They have thought of every detail and love to show there property and love for bar harbor!

Lovely helpful host. Fantastic location.Although aware that the property was a basement flat, I wasn’t prepared for very little natural light. A small row of kitchen units if possible,with a sink and maybe a single hob would make a big difference. Washing dishes in the bathroom was inconvenient. It worked for our group however may be challenging for a family with young children.Would likely suit guests who prefer to eat all meals out. The ceiling mounted waste pipe through the length of the kitchen with accompanying noise was somewhat unusual. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious.

Friendly, helpful hosts. Space was as described. I was pleasantly surprised by how little noise we heard from upstairs. It is a short drive to all aspects of MDI and allows for visitors to easily avoid congestion of Bar Harbor. Make time to use the kayaks. The map to long pond right of way makes it look like a long walk, but it really isn’t.

This place is perfect. The owners were very nice and helpful. The property is beautiful especially down by the stream. The beds are comfortable and space was very clean. I will definitely be looking this place up when I visit Acadia again.

Great vacation!

The location was perfect for enjoying Acadia. We loved the outdoor spaces and the kayaking. The hosts were very helpful and kind.

Such a beautiful property. Minutes from Acadia National Park, which was the reason for our visit. Plenty of space if you have multiple people. Just a beautiful and quiet area. If we are ever back in the area, we will stay here again.

We had a great stay! James was very friendly and knowledgable. The best part of the stay was the access to Long Pond and the kayaks, which was our main reason for booking this property. The location can't be beat also! On the quiet side of the island, yet so close to Bar Harbor and Acadia.

Beautiful little hideaway in the woods

Hosts were very accommodating with our late arrival due to travel headaches. Very helpful with allowing us to maximize our time in the area (great recommendations for hikes, food, sites to see). Would definitely stay again.

Housing was just as pictured and described, and it was awesome to not be in the crowded Bar Harbor scene. JF and Sue were fantastic hosts and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Would definitely recommend.

A great spot on the ‘quiet side’ of Mount Desert island.

This was exactly what we were looking for… a place to stay that was close to the big attractions in Acadia, but away from the crowds.

Perfect place for families who want the quieter side of the island but still want to explore Acadia. Owners are very friendly.
