If peace and quiet in your own home are what you desire, Cranberry View is the perfect retreat to bring the family and escape it all. Nestled by the shore of Western Way, the house offers the visitor plenty of privacy and access to the ocean's edge, surrounded by spectacular scenery. There is easy access to every activity Acadia has to offer, even free public transportation, in season, right from the end of the driveway. Easy convenience to the park, shopping, free public transportation in season, and all the other activities here on Mt Desert Island. About two hundred yards from the coastline. Delightful character with a large yard and gardens surrounding. Wander down to the water's edge, or enjoy nature from the ample yard, listening to the endless chatter among the birds and the sounds of the nearby ocean. A great place for kids and adults to explore all that Mount Desert and Acadia National Park have to offer.

Excellent location on the quiet side of the island. Host had many suggestions for the area that made our stay simple to plan. Stairs to bedrooms are very steep, may be difficult for those with mobility restrictions to manage. Overall a great place to stay.

This beautiful property was the perfect place for my family's Acadia vacation. Close enough for everything we wanted to do, but away from the crowds and traffic. We appreciated the beautiful home, the proximity to the water, the deer and wild turkeys that we could see around the property. Anne was extremely responsive.

A wonderful clean and cozy place for us to stay after a long day of hiking! We were able to enjoy a wonderful meal because of the gas grill that is provided and the local markets that we were able to shop. The sunrises from the beach were beautiful and I would highly recommend this place for small families and couples wanting to get away. Anne was a very helpful hostess and provided us with lots of information about hiking. We found her guide book in the home to be extremely helpful and appreciated all the detail. We hope to come back next year!

Rental was very clean and well stocked. The host had great communication and offered many excellent recommendations about what to do on the island. The setting of the rental was beautiful with many chances to observe birds and deer. We were able to walk down the lane to the water and use the beach area too. I wasn’t sure if we would like to be so far from the main part of Acadia National Park but since we are not the touristy types I have no regrets about staying on the quiet side of Mt. Desert Island.

We loved staying here on this quiet side of the island. Deer greeted us every day and we followed many our hosts wonderful recommendations for the area. The house was adorable and sleeping under the skylight with the stars so visible was awesome!

Great Place for a Getaway

We had a great July 4th holiday weekend in Acadia. This was the perfect place to stay in a quiet wooded area and close to everything the island has to offer. The Southwest Harbor fireworks were a highlight of the trip!

Very nice cottage, it was nice and clean when we got there too. They had they had heat on and was very cozy. Recommend for anyone to stay. I know we will return!

The cottage was located in the perfect location with easy access to all the activities and amenities. It is very private and quiet. Seeing all the wildlife in the back yard was such a treat. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely house and lovely location!

We loved staying at this cottage! It was conveniently located to many great hiking spots and felt secluded enough out in the woods. Just a short walk from a very nice secluded rocky beach as well. I would highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a great retreat out to Acadia!

Excellent stay!

Excellent stay at a lovely cottage. The property was exactly what we needed for a short getaway, close to an excellent lobster place and a beach. Very quiet, and perfect for two. Would definitely stay again!
