Full luxury in breathtaking natural beauty. Remote and private. So quiet you can hear your heart beat. At night, no city lights disturb your view of the star-studded sky.

From this 1,475 square foot Casita, you'll enjoy panoramic 360-degree views: Abiquiu Lake, miles of mesas, rolling hills, and the magnificent red cliffs surrounding the famous Ghost Ranch. To the south you'll see the 10,000-foot mountain known as El Pedernal, which Georgia O'Keefe made famous in her paintings, along with much of the near landscape.

Our Casita was built in 2008, and designed by a local architect in a southwestern yet modern style. It's fully furnished for comfort. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, including a Bosch gas stove with heavy gauge grills for those who really love to cook.

Check out the Master bathroom: you can choose between a slate shower or a deep soaking tub to soothe your body after an invigorating hike in the nearby Jemez Mountains. Besides the 2 bedrooms, each with Queen beds, there is a Full Size Air Mattress RAISED Inflatable Bed with Built-in High Capacity Airbed Pump and Fitted Sheets with Bed Skirt for use in the Great Room overlooking the lake.

The perfect weekend getaway

This is the perfect place for a weekend get away! We didn't want to leave. The views are simply stunning. Getting up early to watch the sunrises were amazing and well worth it. Being able to have our fur baby with us was essential in where we were going to stay. This is a perfect property for fur babies to roam around. He absolutely love it too. This was such a special weekend and some sweet memories were made. If you are looking for a peaceful, welcoming place to stay in Abiquiu...you have found the right spot. Book now. We will definitely be back!!

Christmas Trip

My wife and I plan a trip every other Christmas somewhere new for our family. We have three kids under 12. We like to stay out of town and in unique places. This is one of our favorite places we have stayed! You really cannot put into words or even fully appreciate the beauty until you stay!

a gem in the high desert

This is third time my husband and I have stayed at this quiet and beautiful location. The house has sweeping views of the desert sky and a beautiful view of Pedernal. In the evening, you can sit outside on the chairs around the fire pit and watch the sunset and at night you watch the moon and stars. The house is well equipped, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom has a soak tub to relax in. The owner is very communicative if you need something or have an issue with anything. We took morning walks, visited Ghost Ranch and had ice cream at the Frosty Cow -which has great ice cream, and visited the Georgia O'Keeffe Welcome center. If you enjoy the beauty and quiet of the high desert, you will enjoy your stay here. I highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely Perfect!

This was just what we needed after a difficult weekend of laying my parents to rest in CO. We stayed here on our way home for a peaceful place to relax and that is exactly what we got. The home and views are amazing! We felt very comfortable and had everything we needed. We hope to return soon!

We had such a wonderful time here! The location feels remote, which is exactly what we wanted, but is very convenient to Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu. I wish we had more time there and we will certainly be back. Thanks!

Absolutely Amazing Place to Stay

This is a gorgeous, comfortable, house in one of the most breathtaking locations in the west. It is well off the beaten path but totally modern and connected so it offered every level of serenity and escape that our family of five (with three college age kids) could hope for. There is plenty to do around Abiquiu, but this home could be a destination on its own. After the first couple of hours there, you'll know how Georgia O'Keefe felt when she found Ghost Ranch.

Bumpy start but overall good

Our family recently stayed at the property. There was a hiccup at the start but the owner was very responsive and helped provide an accommodation until the issue was resolved. I could not say enough wonderful things about the property itself. The location is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! The sunrises are amazing with phenomenal views of the lake and mountains. And the stars at night will take your breath away! There were a few minor issues like the kitchen could use a deep cleaning and the pull out on the great room is broken but we weren’t fussed. We would happily stay again. Thank you to our hosts for allowing us to stay in their home for our family adventure.

Just do it!

If you are looking for peace and quiet, beautiful views, and unbelievable night sky's, look no further than this amazing home. The house has all the amenities you would need, and the communication with Larry, the owner, made the whole check-in and check-out process seamless. Absolutely amazing!

This property was everything we hoped for and so much more! We had been looking at this home for a while now and finally decided to go for it. Best decision ever! The views were beyond incredible and the whole area is absoluteley breathtaking. The stars at night were unbelievable and I just can't say enough about how much we loved this place. We did not want to leave and plan to come back as soon as we can! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will remember this family vacation forever!

A quiet getaway

This is where you go to get away from it all. The peace and serenity are all encompassing. So are the views, from Ghost ranch to Cerro Pedernal. The house is clean and the kitchen has everything you could want. There are spectacular walking roads and trails straight from the house. Ghost ranch, Abiquiu, and the O’Keefe house (make reservations) are a few miles away. We will be back!

Grandchildren odyssey

This is at least the fourth time I have stayed at Larry and Laurie's beautiful home and it never disappoints. If you're a photo buff this is the place to be. The light, the vistas......they're extraordinary. I can't recommend it enough.

Absolutely Gorgeous.

I visited with my husband, sister and brother-in-law to celebrate my 50th birthday. We had a fabulous few days enjoying the wonderful casita with its completely breathtaking views. We planned to go out for short days so that we could have long leisurely afternoons and evenings enjoying the porch, fire pit and scenery. We had the perfect few days. Thank you Larry and Laurie.

Amazing Place!

Truly beautiful house with spectacular views, that make you feel you have New Mexico all to yourself. Host is very communicative and helpful. Road to top of the mesa is bumpy and you must go slow, but is totally worth it once you arrive at the top. We feel very fortunate to have been able to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary here. I think my favorite part was drinking coffee by the fire pit during sun rise.

Otherworldly Stay

This is a fabulous property with incredible views. The interior of the house has everything you would need including views of the lake and mountains. I found myself walking around outside with my mouth ajar at the serenity, peacefulness and silence of the surroundings. I’m sure we will be back, just to stay there again.

We loved the house and the amazing views from it. The kitchen was well set up for cooking, which we did a lot, given the distance to a restaurant. We would not hesitate to return.

A view that will never be forgotten!

We loved our stay with views that will take your breath away! If you are looking for a rustic and remote location to just relax this is your place. While we were there we visited Ghost Ranch (which was suggested) but also stopped at the Echo Amphitheater which is a short drive from there. It was really cool! A quick stop but a fun one. We also went to the Puye Cliff Dwellings which was about an hour from the house. It was absolutely worth the drive! It was our favorite stop by far. The communication was excellent, the home was cozy and welcoming. There were plenty of kitchen supplies from pots, pans, etc to basic condiments, salt, pepper, and so on. I always like to note that because I bring all those things just in case! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with our family. It's a trip we will never forget!

Peaceful and beautiful

My two friends and I absolutely loved this place! So quiet, peaceful and beautiful! Spent our time just enjoying the solitude and views. The stars and moon were just amazing...felt like we were the only ones around for miles. A wonderful, relaxing weekend and we definitely recommend this special place!
