The cabin is spacious and charming with an excellent collection of books. We had a wonderful time enjoying the seclusion and closeness to nature. Our fellow travelers are already thinking about returning with more of their family for another stay.

The Canyon House was a very nice place to stay! It’s off the beaten path, but our group loved every minute of being there. The fully stocked kitchen(pots, pans, utensils) was great, as was everything else.

Súper family friendly home. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfy and location was really close to the entrance to Yellowstone. Really appreciated the instructions and tips. Great, great stay!

Plenty of bathrooms and beds. Low clearance on passenger cars not the best on the access road.

Thank you for staying with us, Norma. We are located 20 minutes from Yellowstone off the beaten path on a dirt road. The public road is well maintained but it's always advisable to use a 4WD or AWD vehicle when vacationing in the mountains of Montana.

Beautiful property, comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen. However, those renting should know that although it has WiFi, you cannot make calls from your cell phone. When we got there, we couldn't get into the place and had to go all the way down to Gardiner (to download the instructions/code for getting in) to get wifi. There was also no spare key (as posted), so we couldn't get in. It's a great property BUT you need to have everything you need downloaded BEFORE you head up the mountain.

Hi Katherine, So sorry you had troubles getting inside! We send the door code and WiFi information at least three days in advance with the auto VRBO message and then again the night before. Thank you for letting other guests know! We have Starlink WiFi and a land lane to call out.

Perfect site for a family or larger group to gather and have nearby access to Yellowstone National Park and Gardiner, MT. Great amenities, everything we needed. Beautiful, serene location, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space to be together or have your own time alone. Would highly recommend this rental.

Great country place

Very quiet mountain cabin that is very well stocked with everything from kitchen supplies to books and inside/outdoor games, great recommendations on activities, comfortable beds and close enough to Yellowstone.

Yellowstone Family Trip

We had an amazing time. The house was perfect for the 11 of us! We loved the view of the canyon and the accessibility to the town and Yellowstone. The house had a well stocked kitchen with pleny of equipme t to play outside We recommend this house to anyone.

We absolutely loved our time at Canyon House. The scenery right outside the doors was breathtaking, and the home was fully stocked with everything for our family - dishes, cups, kitchen appliances, shampoo, conditioner, towels, sheets/blankets for ALL the beds, and so much more! We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, as well as playing basketball and using the swingset. It also made a great base camp for our Yellowstone adventures. We would definitely recommend this place for any family looking for a spot to stay in the Yellowstone area!

It was a comfortable place to stay with three generations of family! The kitchen was a nice size and well equipped. We loved the large balcony with the Mountain View’s.The only negative for us was that the home was a little more remote than we thought. It was winding one lane dirt road that takes you to the property. You are about 30 minutes to Gardiner and about 40 minutes from the North gate to Yellowstone.

Country roads

The place fit perfect for the 8 adults. So nice to have upstairs & downstairs patios to enjoy the views. Just note the last mile is a small gravel road. But, it was so pretty winding around with the river.
