My sister-in-law and I looked at each other with much doubt when we first walked in with our families. To be fair, we had just driven over the mountain in the dark with no cell service surrounded by the area's first snowfall of the season. We were cold, tired and hangry. The bumpy gravel road up the mountain to this house had us wondering if we'd entered the address wrong or if Google Maps was leading us astray. After a trip back into town for a hot meal and to grab a few breakfast items, we all slept soundly in what turned out to be very comfy beds. The next morning we enjoyed making breakfast in the big kitchen and our 3 girls piled up under the cozy blankets each claiming her own couch and happy to have internet service. The house really grew on all of us as we settled in. We filled every bed in the house and everyone commented how comfy they were. There was plenty of space for the seven of us. There was no shortage of hot water, nice linens, and plenty of fluffy towels. We appreciated the tiled entry, the long bench to drop backpacks on and coat hooks at the door. Having a washer and dryer was great. While we were there, the road crew smoothed out the road which helped a lot. On the last day, we ventured out to the creek and realized there was a nice patio. It was too cool for us to use on this trip, but we would have loved to sit and listen to the creek had it been warmer. The host was great at communicating and we would not hesitate to stay here again.
