Beach Front Home on Cape San Blas

Jubilee sits directly on the Gulf of Mexico. All five bedrooms have wonderful views of the beach.

On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms. The first room is the bunk bed room; great for the kids. The next two rooms are queen size beds and have amazing views! The fourth room on the first floor has a king size bed and a shared bathroom between rooms 3 and 4. There is also another bathroom for the 1st and 2nd rooms.

The second floor of this home is spectacular. The views are breathtaking with large open windows to soak it all in. This is the living area of the home. There are living, dining and kitchen areas all wide and open. In the living area there is a large, flat screen TV over a fireplace. (This is an aesthetic feature only.) The kitchen has top of the line appliances and gorgeous cabinets. The best part of this whole floor is the screened in porch off of the kitchen with plenty of sitting/sleeping choices! There is a half bath on this floor.

The master suite of this home takes up the entire third floor! This room has a king sized bed and a gorgeous full bath. Of course, the views are amazing up here too!

There is nothing missed in this home and will truly provide you with comfort and pure Jubilee!

Should be condemned

Totally disappointed in Jubilee! Location was nice on a quiet stretch of the beach. That is where the "good" stopped. Showers were covered in black mildew/mold. Sent someone to clean it but it needed much more. remnants of dog feces on the rug in the family room. A/C filters had not been changed in almost a year, even though place was rented out to tenants with dogs. Upstairs bathroom was a disaster. Something growing on the shower floor, no hot water, very little water pressure. Running the dishwasher was a waste of time as not enough water to clean the dishes. Unit needed a lot of work. Oven was supported by a block of wood on one side and nothing on the other. Dangerous exposed rusty wire in back from a sand dune fence by the beach. Ice maker did not work. Pictures showed wine fridge or ice maker but was just an empty space in the cabinet. Full trash cans were at the street when we arrived so no room for our garbage until next pick up day. Host said we could bring our trash down to the office.. Kitchen trash can had not been cleaned, A/C vents throughout the house covered in black mold/mildew. We ended up leaving a day early as several of us were having breathing problems likely from the mold. We paid a premium for the rental and certainly didn't get what we paid for. Emails to the host have gone unanswered. Definitely don't recommend!

Fantastic Home

Perhaps one of our favorite traits of this home is the short walk to the beach. It was no task to bring everything down each morning and back up each night. We had guests as young as two years old and as old as 40 and everyone of us so sad to leave. We all had a fantastic time. Definitely recommend this home for your ultimate beach vacation.

Very little water pressure in master bath, no hot water for 3 and 1/2 days. Very disappointed i received no response from a staff member about a request.

Beach Front isn't everything you think

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very disappointed with my stay at jubilee. It was so dirty. My granddaughter got glass in her foot from the kitchen. Nothing had been swept at all. Master suite smelt of dog urine. Bedbugs or fleas were eating up the girls. I've stayed at the Cape for years and the first time I stayed beach front. I was so disappointed for what you pay for it to not be cape quality. The beach was nice, be factor the wind in when renting this place. Very windy. Will NOT RENT AGAIN. DID NOT LIKE THIS PLACE. NOT GUEST FRIENDLY AT ALL. Beds not that comfortable either. Hate I paid that much for that property. Definitely not worth it. Would not recommend 😕

Wonderful stay

The beds are very comfortable. The house is in an area where you don’t have to worry with people driving on the beach, which was nice. We loved the screened in porch and under the house, you could sit in a chair out of the sun and see the beach. We have been coming to Cape San Blas for nearly 10 yrs and this was our favorite house yet. We’ll definitely be coming back next yr.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was awesome. I really loved the screen in porch. It had a great cross wind that kept it comfortable. It had great views from both sides. The ice maker came in very handy. All of the bedrooms were a good size. The bunk bed room needs curtains. I enjoyed the steam in the master shower. There are a lot of stairs, since you park under the house and there are three stories to the house. The only real negative was the beach has been washed away from the hurricane and tropical depression, which we were not notified of in advance. There are no stairs to the beach but fortunately the next door neighbors let us us their stairs to get the beach.

Perfect Views from every floor

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the house. There is beautiful gulf view from each floor. The set up is ideal in that all the bedrooms are on one floor with the exception of the master (on the very top floor). The living room, kitchen, porch, and dining area are on the second floor. There are A LOT of steps and they are steep. Guests would benefit from the installation of an elevator and a central vacuum. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials for cooking and dining. The fridge was very clean. Thee living room entertainment system is nicely set up. Garbage bags, dish soap, and beach towels are not provided. Only bathing towels are available and only one per person. There is a porch on the first floor and is only accessible from the outside. The boardwalk to the beach is new and lovely. The private access to the beach is unbeatable. Excellent sunsets. Perfect for small family gatherings.

Disappointing

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There are a couple of reasons I would not recommend this particular house. It is in rough shape, essentially lots of damages, dirty and dingy. There are broken cabinets, patched work, things off the wall and chipped paint, rusty air vents, rips in curtains, stains on most heavily used furniture, and lots of long dog hair in corners and on rugs. These things are fine in micro doses but when you add it up, it doesn't equate to how much you are paying for this rental. Not much can be done about the layout but there are better options. There are tons of stairs and the main outdoor porch facing the ocean is on the floor with all of the rooms. It should be on the main living area. There is a screened in porch off the main living area but the furniture is dirty and you have obstructed views when sitting in the low chairs.

Only one shower in the house worked, took a lot of cold showers! Closets with no shelves or hanger rods, doors falling off vanities, bathroom sink faucet falling off, boards missing from boardwalk exposing dangerous screws to children(took 3 days for management to respond to request for management to repair), dishwasher did not clean dishes, likely due to plumbing issues, garbage disposal in disrepair. If all is repaired we would recommend this house, in present condition it is not worth the cost! There needs to be better oversight of property conditions by the property management company.

The Best Views!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay! The views are beautiful from every room in the Jubilee. I would say that cleanliness could be better (I am sure good help is hard to find right now) and definitely could use a handyman to fix several minor things throughout the home. The shower in the downstairs master was difficult because one of the knobs is broken so you cant change the water pressure from one shower head to another, so washing long hair was not easy. And the master shower on third floor was either scalding hot (and I do mean SCALDING) or cold. But after several showers, we just dealt with it. Where the home may lack in the "needs to be fixed" area and cleanliness, it makes up for in convenience and the VIEWS! Didn't complain to mgmt, because we didn't want to fuss on vacation. We live a stressful life and came to relax, not complain. So we cleaned ourselves and enjoyed our stay! Management was absolutely GREAT to work with, anytime we did need something or had a question. The smoke detector malfunctioned while we were there and went off throughout the home. They repaired immediately. I will definitely rent from Coastal Joes again!

Jubilee stay

Reviewer Comments: The location of the house was amazing and the views from the house were amazing! This was our first time to the Cap and loved it. We’ll be back again. The house had many things that needed to be repaired. We couldn’t use one of the showers because a knob what been broken off and the over head shower wouldn’t turn on. It was very difficult to control the temperature of the master bedroom shower. It was either freezing or scolding hot! Neither of the fireplaces (or the fire table) worked and I don’t think that is disclosed anywhere online. Cleaning definitely needs to be addressed. There was a pot on screened in porch that had old oil in it. Many dishes that were not clean. This could be an amazing house with attention given to the repairs needed and cleaning.

This is a beautiful home with phenomenal views. The mattresses are comfortable but there is no bathtub in the home. The kitchen is well equipped and we spent a lot of time on the screened porch.

In dire need of deep cleaning

The pictures on this site do not reflect how the property looks currently. We were disappointed to see that the upholstered furniture was so dirty we didn’t want to sit on it. The rental company was nice enough to provide us with sheets to cover them with during our stay. We also saw about a dozen roaches within the first 24 hours we were there. They provided us with roach poisoning to put in the cabinets, Raid to spray, and sent Pest Control out. Pest Control said they found droppings from American Roaches and placed poison in the rooms. Thankfully, after Pest Control came we saw several dead roaches the next day in the kitchen and bedrooms, unfortunately several live ones as well. Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals also sent someone to replace lightbulbs that were not working during our stay, but did not fix the one shower sprayer in the bathroom along with the main bathroom lights in the master bathroom. They did send another cleaning company out to re-clean the house, which was great after having killed so many roaches on the floors. It definitely needed bleaching again! The washer quit working on New Year’s Eve and we were unable to get anyone to fix before we left. Someone at the office told us to try and drain it by hitting cancel or turning off the breaker. We tried both but they did not work. I am aware it was a holiday and it’s hard to find someone to complete service calls. Thankfully, our clothes were not locked in there, only their towels. This house is large and has a WONDERFUL view with a great location! However, we feel that it needs to be deep cleaned. Cabinet door facings, furniture, rugs, doors, baseboards, and many other small odd jobs needs to be tended to, such as missing lights, missing tiles, paint chipping in places, rust on fireplaces, musty smelling bunk room, missing hanging rod in bedroom closet, and appliances needing deep cleaning. When you pay this much to rent a home, you expect it to be in a good condition and clean. You shouldn’t have to put out roach bait and fear that you’ll take a roach home in your luggage! We have stayed in this area many times but this was the first time with this rental company. We have never had any issues until this year. We did leave a day early because of cleanliness and lack of a working washing machine which meant no clean towels or clothes. The company and owner did give us a partial refund of about 25%, but that didn’t really make up for our troubles. So disappointed!

July 2020... The one during a pandemic

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Jubilee is a nice house and the views from inside are fantastic. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and the beds were comfortable. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. However, there are some rough edges to be aware of.The biggest problem is there's no walk-over to get across the dunes to the beach. You're forced to either scale a dune that's just a little lower in elevation than Everest (and you're not supposed to walk on the dunes) or find another access to the beach. That's not really what one expects when paying this much to stay beach front. This also precluded the grandparents from actually making it to the beach on this trip. The furniture on the screened in porch looked very dirty, to the point we didn't want to sit on it.Outlet covers around the house are warped and might feel unsafe if you're traveling with adventurous little ones.The bunk room doesn't have any coverings on the windows, meaning it is easy to see in from the deck. One kid was cool with it, the other was creeped out by it and slept elsewhere.The water pressure was really low during our stay, but that might have been a Cape problem and not a Jubilee problem.All-in-all, it was a positive experience, but the beach access issues would keep me from recommending this property. Stomping across the dunes isn't good in general. Climbing this dune also requires an able body that some may not possess.

2019 Annual Beach Trip

The entire staff at Coastal Joe could not of been any more accommodating as always. Yes the beach restoration was going on at the same time, it was little or no inconvenience to us at all.
