Southern Shores Stunner - Spacious 7 Bedroom - Pet Friendly - Walk to Beach

Salty Root in Southern Shores guarantees fun for everyone! Three spacious floors for you and your family to relax and enjoy your vacation. The top-level features the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create a feast, including two full-size refrigerator/freezers and 2 dishwashers. From the front balcony you can see the ocean and watch the beautiful Southern Shores sunrises. There is one king master suite on this level with a balcony that has ocean views. The master bath has a jetted tub and stand up shower. There is also a back patio overlooking the yard with the pool (heat available), hot tub, swing set and Volley Ball court!

The second level of this Southern Shores stunner has three king master suites as well as a sitting room with wrap around sofa and television.

The bottom level offers a little something for everyone! Direct access to all of the backyard fun. A beautiful full-sized pool table. Sitting area with large flatscreen television. Two Queen Bedrooms, Two Full Bathrooms and a bedroom with a bunk bed and trundle (sleeps 4 total).

The house was wonderful. Clean, kitchen well stocked, clean pool and hot tub and very soft comfortable beds! Our host was great and quickly answered when we had a small issue with two toilets. The only thing I wish we had known, is the beaches in Southern Shores is dog restricted from 9am to 6pm daily. We had to drive down to kitty hawk to the beaches so our dogs could happily join, otherwise no complaints!

Everything about this property was great. Very clean and the area was a very short distance to the beach. The parking passes worked perfectly for loading beach gear. I cannot say enough about the host Melissa. She went above and beyond to answers all questions within minutes. She is very accommodating and makes sure we had the best time with our family of 12 people. We look forward to coming back next year.

Family Vacation

The three floor design was perfect for our three families including four grandchildren ages 4-8. The pool was much used by the grandchildren and the beach was a short walk and enjoyed every day.

OBX - worth it!

Excellent location in a nice setting. Place was clean, met expectations. Heard noise from kids partying on 3rd floor in 2nd floor bedroom. Definitely consider a repeat stay!

Beautiful home.

This house was perfect for our family. The weather was not ideal (cold rainy) but the home was equipped with games, puzzles a beautiful pool and hot tub and a perfect yard for our doodles.

Great Family Vacation!

Everything was as described! Great property manager, very personable and helpful too! The backyard was a hit with the full size pool and volleyball court. Beach is close by and easy to get to, but you do have to cross over Duck Road traffic. There’s a cross walk, so for us adults and teenagers, it was fine to wait for traffic to stop and cross.

Good location, spacious and great outdoor space

Weather was not good, lots of rain and wind. But the house was very spacious which made it comfortable for indoor activities. When the rain stopped we enjoyed the backyard which had a pool , hottub, volleyball court and playset. Something for everyone. Would recommend for large family.

This was the perfect house for our family of 16! The owner was extremely helpful and communicative and rapidly resolved any minor issues. The first floor game room was perfect for our teens and the house was safe for the toddlers with baby gates on the stairs and a very secure gate on the pool and a wonderful castle playhouse in the fenced backyard! We had so much fun playing volleyball,, swimming in the pool and soaking in the hot tub when not at the beach! The 4 sets of parents loved that they each had their own king and private bathroom. Plenty of couches, sitting areas and TVs! It was a very short walk to the beach for all! We would definitely rent this same house again- just perfect!!

Perfectly functional beach house!⛱️

The 1st level, with a lounge and play area was perfect for our five teenagers. The second level with its own lounging area was enjoyed by parents of the teens. And the 3rd level where the kitchen and general gathering area is, along with a private bedroom and bath, was perfect for the teens' grandparents.

Awesome property!

Loved this house for my family. Everything was great except the house needs new vacuums. Even after the cleaners left we tried both vacuums we found And they did not work really at all; so there was things all over the carpets unfortunately. Besides that, everything was perfect. Definitely would recommend

An amazing stay at Salty Root!

We had an amazing family reunion at salty root! There was so much space for several families to get together. The pool was such a great addition for the kids (and adults too!). Plenty of parking, we had 6 cars with room to spare. The walk to the beach was less than 10 minutes and very easy. There is a wal mart and food lion 10-20 minutes away (depending on traffic). We spent most of our time at the house and did not need to leave.

Everything you need & more!

We walked in and immediately thought what a great home. The large fenced in backyard was perfect for our dogs & kids. We spent the majority of our time at the pool/backyard. The kitchen had 2-3x the amt of Utensils, etc. 2 frigs & 2 dishwasher was just what we needed. The perfect touch welcome bag was a finishing touch. We wanted to rebook the house next summer but there wasn’t any availability.
