The house was very easy to find and in a great location close to town and White Sands NP. Home was clean and very comfortable, and the homeowner answered messages promptly. Would highly recommend the stay here.

Great place close to Holloman AFB and White Sands

Great house. Kids loved the video games and separate TV room. Yard was secure and great for the dogs. Host was very responsive. Had no issues, and would stay here again.

Super close to the base, has everything you need. Rented relatively short notice and all was easy and good.

Clean and Quiet

We enjoy a long weekend. The place was clean and the neighborhood is very quiet. Close to everything we wanted to see. Rodney was very quick to answer any questions we had.

Awesome place!!

Great place to stay if you’re visiting White Sands! Place is bigger than it looks in the pictures and is super clean. Owner was very responsive and nice. Overall had a great stay!

Great local host communication

Visiting White Sands. This spacious comfortable home is in a friendly Alamogordo neighborhood closest to White Sands. Local host very accommodating when I had to change one night of my stay. Kind of “no frills” but comfortable, spacious, access to garage that walks right into kitchen, large enclosed yard for my sweet dog Mazie. A nice stay!

We would use the house again

Everything with the property was as advertised. It was very easy to communicate with Rodney and he responded right away. Property was clean. The outside could use some tender loving care. Easy access to Alamogordo, White Sands, etc. Very much enjoyed the stay.

Excellent House

We stayed for 5 nights and the stay was excellent. The house was very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was nice and close to the places we wanted to go. Communication with the property owner was easy and he responded immediately. We would stay at this house again.

The inside of the house was in good condition. The outside needs some TLC. Not enough dining chairs and the beds were too small for 2 adults. The main bedroom could easily fit a king bed.

Clean and comfy but untinsel were lacking

Everything was clean and comfortable but the grill outside looked nasty and the reverse osmosis water system needs new filters. Water felt slimey so we used bottled water. And fry pans need replacing but we managed to use them.

It is comfortable. It has a gizillion channels on tv. Nice kitchen. BBQ grill was filthy. Did not dare to use. Windows were dirty. Although my granddaughter says that is usual. This is my second stay at this VRBO, so it must be good!

Two week Stay

Overall, it was a good stay for us. Unfortunately, it was not that clean when we arrived, but a message to Rodney and it was quickly taken care of. Rodney always promptly replied and addressed our questions. It's a great location with White Sands National Monument only 15 mins away - we went several times! The house is a good size and could comfortably accommodate 4 people. Our dogs loved the big back yard. It was a bonus that we were able to park in the garage! We stayed here for two weeks and were very comfortable. Thank you to Rodney for being a great host!

All The Comforts of Home In Alamogordo

We are a family of 5 plus a dog who needs a place to stay for a week to attend a funeral. 2 Queen Beds and two sectional couches were ample to fit us. There were so many dvd movies to watch, card and board games to play, and a gaming system with many games to keep my young adult children entertained. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, and even the neighbor dogs were super friendly. The house was super clean and spacious and very comfortable, with all the things we needed in the kitchen and baths. My favorite parts were the large backyard for my dog, and two car garage that made coming and going easier. I have already given recommendations to family about this property.

An absolute wonderful stay

We were set to visit our son at Holloman Air Force Base and quickly realized the closest place was the town of Alamogordo. After weighing our options, we opted for this house rental, and we were so very happy with our decision! The little neighborhood is tucked away and it is quiet and quaint. I am a morning runner, and I felt completely comfortable and safe and ran from the house around the neighborhood daily. It's 10 minutes to the Air Force Base and we loved how all the restaurants were just minutes away. The house was spacious, clean, and we felt at home. Check in instructions were clear and we loved how we could keep our car in the garage. We will be back next time we visit! Highly recommend!

Tell it like it we experienced it

Entry access was easy, the host communicated well. Got part of our money back...Nice and spacious...Upon entry we walked into unwanted guests. Yes, some of those undesirable brown rather large bugs. Every morning ( 5 ) I walked throughout picking them up off the floor. It could use a good cleaning. Bathroom rugs were dirty, no screen on the patio door, patio chairs need replacing, the surface under the kitchen sink smells strong of cleaners...laundry from previous housekeeper was left in the dryer...was told to put it somewhere than before we leave put it back in the dryer... Could be a really nice place with some TLC.

Needs some TLC, but has a lot of positives

I gave this stay a 3/5 because the home wasn't cleaned when I arrived and it needs a little TLC. Otherwise, the home has a lot going for it. Per the host, there was a miscommunication among the cleaners and the home didn't get cleaned before I arrived. The host got cleaners in that night, but it was late before the home was ready for me. The home itself could also use some TLC including the ceiling coming down in one of the bathrooms and a missing fire alarm in the primary bedroom. However, there were also a lot of positives. The home was conveniently located to Holloman AFB, White Sands, and Alamogordo. The neighborhood was welcoming and really quiet, and I felt safe walking my dogs around in the evening once it cooled off. A law officer lives a few homes down the street and parks their vehicle in the driveway. The A/C works great, the furniture appeared new and was very comfortable, and the TV has an awesome picture. The shower has strong water pressure, and the back yard is fenced - although only medium height walls. I also appreciated how the host set the front door code. It made it easy to remember with no need to fumble for my phone each time I entered the home.

Long Weekend in Alamogordo

We had a great stay in Alamogordo thanks to our home base. The house was just as advertised, the beds were very comfortable, and the neighborhood quiet. Rodney was a great communicator and returned messages promptly. The grocery store, shopping and the interstate were minutes away. Good value for the price.
