The charming building has a rich history with origins dating back to as early as the mid-1800s. The original structure burnt down and was rebuilt in 1918, but it is believed that parts of the early foundation still remain. It has operated as numerous businesses and has seen a handful of owners throughout its life. This newly-restored two bedroom suite upstairs features chestnut window and floor trim, hardwood floors, locally-made Amish furniture, and beautiful views of historic downtown Berlin.

The house is very nicely laid out. It’s in the perfect location right on Main Street. Parking is right next to it yet. There is nothing I could ask for more when staying in Berlin. I would highly recommend anyone to you rent this home if you’re going to be in the Berlin area.

This was a spectacular stay. The pictures in the Vrbo website didn't do justice to the beauty of the suite. Precise attention detail, pure charm in every room. Comfortable and cozy living room with loads of naturallight, nicely equipped kitchen, quiet and calming bedrooms. Easy communication with amazing hosts, very easy check-in process.Great location right in town.We will definitely be back!!

This place is adorable. We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend. There's no stove but the food in the area is great and not far. We parked our car and walked everywhere. Very nice.

We have stayed here many times in fact this is the only place that we stay at when we go to Amish Country!!! The place is amazing and right in the heart of everything!! Lifelong residents of Holmes County, Robert and Connie Miller are the owners of Wurthmann House. They purchased the building in 2018 and have spent the last year pouring lots of love and plenty of elbow grease into restoring the upper level. The Millers have been married for 36 years and have two grown sons, two daughters-in-law, and two grandchildren. Robert is the owner and general contractor behind the local company, Ohio Dutch Construction; and Connie is a retired bookkeeper and devoted babysitter to her grandchildren.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

The Millers were drawn to the building because of the beautiful interior detail and the historical significance of it in the town of Berlin. Connie also worked at the building when it was the Boyd and Wurthmann grocery store for about eight years after she graduated high school.
