Lovely artist owned Scandinavian-styled chalet in a quiet neighborhood nestled under the pines on a quiet street. Well appointed kitchen, BBQ, serene front porch, and back balcony with peak-a-boo sunset views. Contemporary stylings. Close to the amenities of Idyllwild Village and to the Humber Park trails. Large flat screen smart TV, wii gaming system, wifi, and dedicated work space for remote working. A lovely granite-faced fireplace provides extra warmth in the winter. Dedicated parking.We have created a warm and welcoming environment with original artwork, white-washed pine, and Scandinavian design features while focusing on a less is more aesthetic. Bedroom 1) Large master with brand new comfortable King mattress, large closets, reading area and private bath with jacuzzi tub. Bedroom 2) Queen size bed upstairs under the eaves, built in book cases, and sitting area. 3) Leather Futon that converts to a double bed in a cozy loft area. (PLEASE NOTE THIS A LOFT and while private from downstairs it has no door.) Smart TV and built-in bookcases.

The chalet was charming, cozy and very clean. The cottage surpassed the images on the site. Amanda was very responsive and helpful. It was a lovely place to spend our Thanksgiving. We will be back.

Great place to remote work!
Really enjoyed being at the chalet and building a fire and focusing on some much needed work. The place is v well stocked and easily accessible.

I love being in Idyllwild during this time of year and this house is perfect location within minutes to the center of town but still a bit secluded for true mountain experience. Love that it has easy walking access to trails. Will be coming back soon!

Cozy cabin
The host Amanda is very attentive and will make sure to answer any questions you have very promptly. This is our 3rd visit to Idyllwild and Chalet Scenic. The beds are comfy and we love the cozy livingroom with big couches and TV. The cabin is very close to the Ernie Maxwell trail. You can walk to the trailhead.

Quick and charming getaway from the city!
Amanda’s home is beautiful and so welcoming inside. The home is easy to find and the instructions provided on how to enter the home were very easy to understand. Amanda was also quickly responsive to questions we had prior to our visit. The kitchen was well quipped. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms very clean. The art in the home was a wonderful addition. Amanda’s home is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of San Diego and LA.

The property is about 5 minutes from town. It’s very quiet with lots of trees all around. The cabin is beautiful and well laid out. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. Our tween loved the loft area upstairs. There is an attached appartment in the back. It was being renovated when we stayed so was not an issue for us. We loved it and would not hesitate to stay there again next time we’re in Idyllwild.

Could not ask for more
We have nothing but good to say about the property and its hosts. They have made sure the place was clean, stacked up, and ready to enjoy. Amanda even made sure our dog had treats (very cool) and a very nice bed to sleep on (she loved it by the way). We loved everything about this place, including cozy and warm floor plan and decor, great lighting, cleanliness, and I personally loved playing wii with my son and wife upstairs. The location is very nice as well. We were able to hit the nearby trail and just walking together out in the wild, seeing multiple squirrels running around, was a great feeling. It was a very nice little getaway for us and we were happy to pick this home to stay in. In the end, we were saddened to leave, but the great memories will stay with us, hoping to visit this beautiful home again, sometime in the near future.

Our house is bright, artistically decorated, and full of comfortable amenities. The neighborhood is quiet and full of squirrels and birds.

Our home is comfortable and well appointed because we enjoy using it ourselves. We are walking distance to the Ernie Maxwell trail in a very quiet neighborhood only 5 minutes above the village.
