We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for two families. The rental company was very quick to respond if we needed anything. The island is majestic we will defiantly be back next year.

The rental was exceptional. Very beautiful and the island quite different, a must see. The only item we did not care for was having to take the ferry rides. They limited our access to a whole lot of adventures to Savannah and Hilton Head Island. For instance, an evening sunset dolphin tour because all the Ferrys sot running at 4pm. If you enjoy a laid-back back very slow place adventure, this is it. Not much to do, but very relaxed and enjoyable.

Second time at this property!

We love this property so much that we came back again this year. It's perfect for our group of ten. The kitchen has everything we need to cook our meals and there is plenty of space to spread out.

Family Vacation

The house was beautiful, well stocked, and perfect proximity to the beach. We had a few housekeeping and cleanliness issues that have been addressed with DRG. The manager was flexible and communicative.

We had the most epic vacation at Daufuskie, and this cottage was one of the reasons. We had multiple families converging on Daufuskie for the 4th of July weekend. We rented 3 cottages in a row (I believe from the same Property Manager). We rented another (Jolly Shores) so we would have access to a dock. The oceanfront cottage (all 3, actually) was stunning and looked just like the pictures. Loved that all bedrooms had access to their own full bath. The cottage was very well equipped & super clean! Loved that there were adequate beach chairs between the cottages to accommodate our crew. I loved that the cottage was pet-friendly, and I hope that others will find (as I did) that when they arrive, they will have no idea any other pet had been there (it was that clean!). We waited for our transportation back to the dock at Jolly Shores (I highly recommend reserving a van with a trailer if you are coming with luggage and coolers, etc., regardless of where you are departing from) while the cleaning crew arrived. I was super impressed when they started cleaning the porch and exterior windows. All this to say that I hope to return soon!! The fact that cottage now comes with a golf cart is an added bonus :)

Great Home & Great Beach

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The house is right on the beach, making it super easy to pack a bag or cart and head down for some fun in the sun. The house had everything we could have needed: fridge w/ water & ice, extra beach chairs, app enabled TVs, plenty of seating for meals, and very clean! My father, brother, and nephew fished every day and caught something new each time. The kids (ages 10, 11, 13, and 14) had a blast on the beach, especially during low tide when the water was shallow for a long way out. It felt like we had the beach almost to ourselves, with only about 10 other people around, which was amazing! This was our first time on Daufuskie Island, so we made sure to plan ahead and bring meals and groceries. Next time, we'll bring more ready-to-bake meals to cut down on the groceries we need to bring over from Hilton Head.Daufuskie Cart and Captain Chez were absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to work with. We can't wait to come back!

No hot water for half of the house for 6 day

The property was nicely situated on the beach. Clean, but 2 of the 5 bedrooms asa well as the kitchen had no hot water. There's no one able to fix it for 6 days we were there. A guy came out the 2nd and 4th day to fix it but was unable to fix it for longer than 1 minute. Then they blamed the propane company for the problem. No one actually came out that had experience in fixing hot water heaters. I requested a partial refund for the hassle and inability to use 2 showers and kitchen sink. Never heard from them again except to offer a discount on our next stay. No way am i spending a ton of money with a company that doesn't make good on their promised 5 bedroom, 5 bath property

Living on an island without a bridge, we often face difficulties in getting qualified technicians to come over on the weekend and fix equipment such as tankless hot water heaters. We have onsite employees that are incredibly handy that we sent out to the cottage, and they successfully got the heater working before they departed. The majority of the guests staying at the cottage appeared to be very pleased with our efforts, even mentioning that if the hot water heater stopped working again, they would be fine to use the other bathrooms. As for refunds, no guests requested one while on the island, leading us to believe that everyone was content with our prompt and efficient service. However, it was only after the guests had left and returned home that they asked for compensation. Interestingly, we have not encountered any issues with the heater since their departure, which gives us confidence that our on-island service personnel effectively resolved the problem. We take a lot of pride in our prompt service and strive to give every guest the best experience possible which usually leads to 5 star reviews with all properties.

The house was nice, it has a little wear and tear as most beach houses do. The biggest problem we had was the dryer broke while we were there, and they replaced it with one that also broke after 2 loads. I understand it’s on an island and difficult to get a new one quickly, but it still made for a lot of stress. Also the first dryer damaged several articles of expensive clothing. They were very fast to respond to anything I needed. They really tried to resolve the dryer issue over the course of 3 days, it just didn’t work out. There is a lot of abandoned houses and buildings in the neighborhood, but it’s still a very nice place to visit. We found lots of wildlife on the beach that we don’t normally see including hermit crabs, horse shoe crab, live wells, starfish, sand dollars, and a hammer head shark. It’s very fun to explore the island by golf cart.

Daufuskie is a unique place to go but once you have worked out the logistics it is a really neat place.

Good for large groups

We had 10 people in our group and there was plenty of space. Great location and updated house. We only had two minor issues: ice maker doesn’t make much ice but you can buy some on the island and the dryer takes a long time to dry clothes or towels…not real issues just things to account for. Overall very happy with the house and would stay again if we ever come back to daufuskie.

Loved the house and the beach

House was amazing and right on the beach which was so convenient No pool ! Was falsely advertised and NOneighborhood pool But ended up working out the kids were disappointed the most Transit bus driver picked us up way to early and was kinda rude - but everyone else on the island seemed nice Food was good, relaxing was nice golf carts made it easy to travel around

Most wonderful family getaway!

Everything was spectacular. The property owners are great, communication was easy, the house was in perfect condition. Views are not to be beat and the ocean is literally across a golf cart path. This is the perfect place to stay to experience everything this remote island has to offer. Thank you for making our trip extra special!
