Glacier Lookout - Spacious, New & Villa Overlooking the Rockies & St Mary Lakes

Glacier Lookout is a unique and spacious barn style 2 story Villa on the West side of Divide Ridge and overlooks the East Rockies. The upper deck is at tree canopy height providing almost a tree house experience. The views from the upper deck have no equal to any other vacation rental property on the East side of Glacier Park. There is a 270° view of the Rockies, St Mary Lake and the Continental Divide Ridge to the East and the sunset over the mountains.

There is typically a variety of wildlife on and around the property that include bear, horses, deer, elk, fox and moose. Because of the remoteness from large towns there is dark night sky for fantastic star gazing and mystic camp fires.

The cabin was built in 2021 with all modern appliances and all amenities of a new home. The Villa is a short 10mi to St. Mary and to Many Glacier park entrances. The property is 180 acre with walking trails on and on the adjacent to property.

The home has 2 queen bedrooms. There is also a upstairs living area that has space for additional full or twin air matress that is provided with bedding.

Breathtaking Babb!

Beautiful secluded location views that cant be beat! Clean well stocked close location to East Entrance of Park Jon the property manager is top notch! Would definitely stay again!

Perfect East Glacier getaway home

Unbelievable gem tucked into the beauty of nature. Wildlife from the second you drive onto the property. Very close drive to the few east side restaurants, close to Glacier National Park entrance for early morning hikes. Peaceful and calm view of the night sky, under the stars. Bring binoculars for morning wildlife sightings right from the balcony. Host was very helpful in planning for food and other trip amenities. 10/10 recommend and definitely look forward to staying here again next time I'm visiting East Glacier

Great glacier national park location

This property is very private. You have great views outside your door. Convient location to waterton st Mary many glacier and two medicine and Logan pass. All of them were 15 minutes to an hour away.

Good Home on East Side Glacier National Park

Pros: Home provides easy access to east side of Glacier National Park, shower was nice, thankful for bear spray provided, basic kitchen items /bath supplies provided, view overlooking lake in distance is private and pretty, especially in the evening. Deer visited nightly. Nice to have washer and dryer. Owner offered to get any supplies we needed during the stay. Had decent turkey clubs at Swift Current Inn and nice dinner at Snowgoose in St. Mary's. Appreciate that you are allowed to leave any extra food/supplies for someone else to use. Cons: Owner shared this info :about 1.5 miles gravel road with cattle grids to drive over to reach the home (this made me nervous, but may not bother others). Extra blanket had moths in it. The seating area is upstairs with one bedroom and the kitchen is downstairs with another bedroom. Not a problem, just a bit of an awkward layout. One concern: I'm all for helping get cleaning started in a VRBO, but was asked to do a load of towels and sheets. Maybe pick one or the other. If cleaning service is provided/fee charged, I feel that is a service they should provide. This process holds up an early morning departure. We spent a great deal of time hiking and touring the area. This home provides the comfort of modern amenities and a decent location to explore this side of amazing GNP:) Montana is beautiful!! Glacier NP is Amazing!!

Excellent stay!

Beautiful sweeping views of the mountains that change throughout the day with the weather. Very comfortable accommodations with everything we needed. Bring your groceries with you for cooking and bring your passport for entry into Waterton national park; well worth the drive north.

Stunning views

Our family of 5 stayed at this location. The views are absolutely stunning. You can see Glacier National Park from the porch. Plenty of area to walk around and an adjacent pasture to walk to with a cool view. One of the highlights was sitting by the fire pit in the evening and listening to wildlife on the mountains. We could hear elk bugling. One morning a trio of deer walked down the fence line by the cabin. The clouds on the east side of the mountain were really unique, with swirls bubbling up after moving over the mountains. Well, that’s all the outside, nature part of the location. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. Jon was very good to communicate and offer anything needed. We would definitely go back in a heartbeat. If you’re going to eat in the area, try Johnson’s in St Mary. Excellent homemade type food. Food at The Lodge was expensive and not good, nice view though. Highly recommend this place!!

Get away with great view of the mountains

With the good directions provided, easy to find. Certainly a place to “get away.” Stayed two nights, had great view of the mountains, lots of stars, and a bonus some passing horses. Well decorated and clean. Second floor porch was sweet. Easy access to all entry ports on the East side of Gacier National Park, and easy access for a day trip to Waterton Canada.

Red House Adventure

Fabulous view towards Glacier National Park. Well designed and appointed. Remote but nicely so. For a stay in late Sep early Oct be prepared either with groceries purchased before you arrive in the Babb area or to be satisfied with very few decent restaurant choices. Jon the host is great.

Excellent cozy home

A perfect trip with a wonderful Quant home, Jon is very nice and responds quickly with any questions. The view was gorgeous and near the east entrance to the park.

Great location! Comfortable stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The place was clean, comfortable and cozy. I was particularly impressed with the fully stocked kitchen with all the kitchen utensils needed. The bbq grill was an added plus. Nothing beats a hot shower after a day of hiking at Glacier National Park. The home was only 30 min to the Many Glaciers area, making it extremely convenient when you’re fighting for a parking spot at the trailhead at 7 AM. Appreciate the hospitality! We are looking forward to returning

Amazing views

The house was a perfect getaway for our family trip. House had lots of condiments, food and bear spray. Loved sitting out on the deck watching the sunset. Highly recommend.

Beautiful spot

The only thing that surprised me was that VRBO listed this property as a 3 br when it is actually a 2 BR with an available blow up mattress in the living area upstairs. The area is still relatively private as it is upstairs but just now that it feels more like a 2 br. That said, this place is in a spectacular location and has a great kitchen and bathroom. The host was also a nice guy. As other reviewers have said, go to Johnny's for dinner.

Wonderful Stay in Babb

Wonderful house to use as a jumping off point to go to Glacier Park. Very clean and helpful for a family of 5. Babb has very few restaurants so the kitchen in the house is very helpful. Would stay again.

Room with a view

The views are breathtaking from this property! Sadly, we did not see any wildlife except for deer (which i have normally in my backyard) and cloudy skies. I was so looking forward to star gazing but i guess it wasn't meant to be. Our arrival found us with no TP, soap, or shampoo but was quickly remedied once we contacted the host. Great communication and if we are ever in the area again we would stay there again.

Cutest Cabin on the East Side of Glacier!

We had a great time for our stay at Glacier Lookout! The Cabin was well stocked, with everything we needed! It was peaceful & very close to the St. Mary Lodge entrance. Jon was very quick & easy to communicate with. The cabin is adorable & was perfect for the 4 of us! Nice having a half bath upstairs also! Thanks Jon!

Stunning Views

This was such a cute little cabin that was perfect for 4 adults. It was a little tough to find the house so more signs would be nice along the dirt road. The grocery store in Babb was very small and pricey. Make sure you stop for groceries in a bigger town with more selection. If your coming from the East, the grocery store in Browning looked to be a lot bigger. Our favorite hike was a 14 mile day in Many Glacier to Grinnell Glacier Lake. It was so beautiful and even ran into a grizzly about 20 yards away. This cabin is a great location and was extremely clean!

Great stay near Glacier National Park

Jon’s place was perfect for my wife and I. The location couldn’t be beat with it being very close to East Glacier and Many Glacier with views of the park from the property. It had everything with needed and Duck Lake Lodge was just down the driveway if you needed a restaurant. I’d highly recommend this rental and we will definitely consider it when we return to Glacier.
