We had a great time and the best part of it all was just sitting on the dock seeing all the wildlife in the bay..we even seen a dolphin swimming in the distance. Definitely our best family vacation yet!

What a gorgeous location right on the sound! Watching the boats zooming by, the birds soaring, and the dolphins made for a great time. We were very comfortable staying in the cottage with our dog and the kitchen had everything we needed for simple meals. There's a ladder off the dock and it's also easy to wade in from the shore- nice, shallow water for our dog to play in.

It was very cute in the pictures but it is very dated. The couch is not comfortable and is very low. There was dog hair all over it. The only saving grace was the air conditioning worked like a charm. We were planning to use this as the hang out spot since it is waterfront but nope, not comfortable enough for a hangout spot. If you are just looking somewhere to lay your head this is good.

We were disappointed to receive this review after your week-long reservation, particularly following our decision to uphold the agreed-upon cancellation and refund policy when you chose to leave a few days early.
We’ve been fortunate to welcome many guests who have thoroughly enjoyed the home, its waterfront setting, and its character. We recognize, however, that no property will suit every guest’s individual preferences.
We wish you the best in finding accommodations better suited to your expectations in the future. We also hope guests recognize that choosing to shorten a stay does not automatically entitle them to a refund for unused nights, nor should a negative review be used as leverage when a host declines to provide a refund outside the agreed-upon policy.

This was a wonderful location to be close to it all but away from it all at the same time. Beautiful waterfront location. Cool breezes and relaxing in the hammock. Well maintained property with great amenities. Clean kitchen with all the essentials. Great one floor living with wheelchair accessibilities. Will definitely book again.

Great pet friendly property in a quiet neighborhood. The waterview is very relaxing and great location close to many activities. Host was very responsive.

The Cottage had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The kids loved the large yard area and the hammock and enjoyed swimming in the Sound. Quaint and quiet, great neighbors - so easy to enjoy yourself.

My daughter and I stayed at this lovely cottage for five nights. We were looking for a relaxing, cozy place to get away and this perfectly fit the bill. We absolutely loved sitting outside and watching the boats in the sound. Lovely!

Lovely little cottage on the sound. Great big yard for our little dog to run around. Kitchen is well-stocked with all you would need!

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend at the cottage. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed being outside in the hammock and on the dock. Our dogs enjoyed being with us and the neighborhood was a great place to walk. We had all we needed to cook and only left the cottage for one meal during our stay. Definitely recommend if you are looking to relax!

The beds were comfy and the view of the sound was beautiful. The hammock was a nice touch. Kitchen could use a few more items--we did purchase some kitchen towels to speed up the drying process. The cleaners left dog hair on the floors and there was a dirty rag stuck to one of the chairs. Pricey cleaning fee, however. House could have been better stocked. Garbage was full when we arrived and smelled terrible. No info posted on garbage pick up schedule. Lawn mower arrived unexpectedly mid trip and was mowing at top speed, causing rocks to fly everywhere. It was an interesting getaway.

Regarding the trash, your check-in followed an extended guest stay and occurred prior to our scheduled trash collection. We are sorry for your inconvenience. We did our best to accommodate, and did not request you to haul your own trash away. As noted in the guest information provided, trash pickup is on Fridays, and the cans are placed by the street for collection.
The kitchen is fully stocked for guest use, including both kitchen towels and paper towels. While we understand that you chose to purchase additional towels that better suited your preference for quicker drying, appropriate towels were provided at the property.

The cottage is an excellent way to spend a peaceful view of Bogue Sound. Plenty of space to spread out throughout the house and still have amazing views of sound. Close to grocery store and several eating facilities, shopping and just simply enjoying the Newport area.

We had a great stay at the cottage during Thanksgiving! Everything you would need to use for cooking is accessable in the kitchen, with plenty of room to prep and serve. The kitchen island was especially handy for serving and drinks while enjoying the best view possible of the inlet waterway! Property is beautiful and spacious with a great seaside hammock in the trees to enjoy as well.

Anniversary Getaway
The house has the most beautiful views and the back yard was excellent for hanging out with family. We all enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful location
Very nice cabin on a beautiful lot. We were there for the airshow but wished we had more time to enjoy the property.

Just completed a two-week stay at this quiet, clean, and relaxing property. Most exceptional was the availability of our host whenever a question was raised. A great location with the shopping and dining in Morehead City and Atlantic Beach just a few minutes away. Certainly a great property for just getting away and having some quiet time and enjoying nature. Certainly worthy of a return trip.

Memorial Day Weekend
The house was exactly as described. Location is perfect! Close to everything but extremely quiet neighborhood. We would stay here again in the future!!
