Feel at home at the beach! Enjoy the beautiful views of the Atlantic from our back porch, pool, and hot tub; bring your pets, family, and friends! Don't let the photos fool you, we are ocean front and just a short walk down a boardwalk to the beach. Our home is located mid-island, a short drive to Emerald Isle proper. Enjoy the short walk through the the Theodore Roosevelt Nature Preserve to quiet, semi-private white beaches. While this quiet location does boast a secluded beach experience; you’ll stay current with our complimentary High-speed Spectrum WiFi internet access. Our fully furnished home features an open kitchen/living space, three full bathrooms, including master bed/bath with a king sized bed. Full and twin bed in one bedroom, with a queen in the other (linens provided). Savor the comfort of covered and open decks with great views of the Atlantic, island, and sound. Amenities include: enclosed hot/cold outside shower, charcoal grill, carport, dishwasher, washer/dryer, two cable TVs including large 60” flat screen in living area with plenty of seating!

Monthly rental rates available upon request.

Check in and out is Saturday during the normal season. Due to VRBO's new cancelation policy I was forced to restrict bookings to those days; however, in the off season we can offer alternative check in/out days, so feel free to inquire.

Lovely view of the ocean

We really enjoyed walking on the beach with our doggie. The house has huge windows right onto decks and the ocean. I was able to have coffee on the top deck, then another time, just enjoy the sun - before the big snow storm! Thanks, Dan, for your wonderful communication.

Our private fun getaway

This property has everything! A pool, oceanfront, and very private. We also could bring our dog, who is part of the family. They host was great! Lots of places to go to eat and see, if you want to. A perfect place just to sit and relax and watch the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We definitely recommend it.

Ocean Getaway

My husband, two dogs and I enjoyed another great stay at Ocean Panorama. The house meets our needs perfectly. We love the views, the pool and proximity to the beach. Dan Hess is an excellent host. This was our 5th year staying here. We love it!

Great location.... Great stay... Awesome beach!!!

We recently stayed and we loved our vacation. While the house is a little older and the decor could use an update, it didn't take away from how much we enjoyed our vacation. The house is perfectly located between a condo complex and an reserve which means that you basically get the beach to yourself. The complex is far enough away that no one seems to come down far enough to make the beach crowded. In the week we were there, we were often one of 4 or 5 groups on the beach. The pool was great to have for the kids and gave us a break from the beach when the kids wanted a change of scenery. The owner, Dave, was awesome. We had a couple hiccups during our stay that were out of his control, but he did he best to help us fix the issues and enjoy our trip. In the end, we loved our time in Indian Beach and would come back again.

1st beach week with our dog

We stay on this island all the time each summer- usually at Atlantic beach but sometimes Emerald Isle or Indian beach. This year was our first needing a dog friendly place and we loved it here! The balcony/porch was by far my favorite place to be as I could sit and soak in the views and sounds of the ocean without getting sandy if I wanted to have a break from the beach itself- always had some shade and always with a breeze. my husband would say the pool was his favorite- and the main reason we chose this house over others- he really wanted the luxury of a private pool. He especially loved the long float to just lay on and chill. The house has lots light and space which I loved. It’s a much quicker walk to the beach than the picture suggests. Very quiet beachfront -near a big condominium building where there were always a ton of people when the weather was good but there was a huge gap between them and us. With a teen, having a smart TV was imperative so we could watch Netflix or prime video at night or when the weather wasn’t great. There are a lot of stairs- so be wary if limited mobility- but I found it a good way to get more exercise on the quieter days. We have a family member with crutches and he did fine- got in some strength training with them and there’s a railing all the way. Never used the hot tub (it’s summer in NC, so no need to be hotter). Easy communication with Dan. Would absolutely stay here again and 100% recommend!

Lovely home close to everything

We had an amazing stay! The pool and hot tub were highlights. Ocean views from the decks were spectacular! We walked to the dollar general just about every day since it was right across the street. We did t want to leave!

Lovely Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation. The views were spectacular. We enjoyed having coffee on the front porch and looking for dolphins. The house was comfortable and quiet-perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed walks on the beach and fishing. We also enjoyed the hot tub and pool. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Best Beach Vacation Ever

We had an excellent week at Ocean Panorama! The location is fabulous. You have privacy but are close to restaurants. The views from the house are amazing! The setup of the house was perfect for our family of 4. The master bath is very spacious and has plenty of storage for toilitries. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The kitchen was very well stocked. The house was very clean when we arrived. Communication with the owner was very quick. We will definitely be back next year!

Our Review

Overall clean but dated. We did not enjoy having wicker furniture in the living room. It was very difficult to sit on when you have a bad back. The toilet in the Master bathroom ran all night. Having to go outside for laundry was a surprise.

Great place to get away

The home was comfortable. We had everything we needed for the stay. The views were amazing!! The location was perfect for us. It was outside of town by about 15 minutes. We practically had the beach to ourselves, very quiet and peaceful. We had one small hiccup upon arrival that really isn't worth mentioning. The only reason I do is to say that Dan responded within 10 minutes. He happened to be in town at the time and came to take care of it himself. Super nice guy, came, took care of business and left. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful location, but the house needs work

Overall we enjoyed our visit. The location is beautiful and views can’t be beat. However, there were a lot of maintenance and general upkeep issues with the property. One shower leaked through the ceiling, one didn’t drain. Wasps coming in through the attic. Lots of old and low quality furnishings. I would spruce this place up quite a bit before listing it again.

An at-home feeling with a much better view!

Even though we were closely surrounded by civilization, we felt isolated in our own private paradise. It was quiet, except for the symphony of birds heard from the deck each morning. The beach was completely abandoned at certain times of the day, perfect for long walks and book reading. The kitchen and dining area easily accomodated our group of 4-7 adults when we decided to eat in or play cards. Watching TV during the day was a little difficult due to the glare from the sun. I would suggest investing in some nice indoor wooden blinds that could be closed for tv and opened for the awesome views. My 91 year old Mom rarely left the house, so depended on the tv more than most, but also absolutely loved the views. Also, the closed-in balconies were great for her terrier to come and go as he pleased without fear of him running off. The hot tub gave us all something to relax and enjoy after a fun day on or off the beach! I would highly recommend OP for an at-home feel with a quiet beach and a fantastic view!

Ocean Getaway

Our stay was everything we hoped it would be. My husband and two dogs enjoyed sunny days on the beach and house decks. The house is well maintained and the host is friendly. The pool is a bonus that we used daily. Thanks, Dan, for another great vacation at the ocean.

Great Pool

We had a terrific time in Salter Path. The home is on an offshoot of the public beach access path, which leads right to the home and the pool, which was very well maintained, clean and awesome. The home itself is reasonably clean, but outdated, so those looking for something with modern appointments and fixtures would be disappointed. We cooked every day, and found the kitchen to be decently well-stocked for what we made. Our only real complaint is the beds; Dan, you need new beds. These are thin, noisy, and uncomfortable. All of the people in our party complained about them, so sadly, it's not limited to one room. Views from the porch were spectacular, and we had a terrific weather-week to enjoy it. Definitely try to spend some time out there reading. Oh, and proximity to all of the Shrimp Burger joints is a plus. Thanks for hosting us, and good luck with the home!

Ocean Panaroma Riner Family Vacation Aug 5-12, 2023

The view was spectacular and it was nice to have a "private beach" section. The pool and hot tub were definitely a plus! Everything was up to standards with the exception other than the master bed, the two others were very uncomfortable, especially the bunk beds. We would definitely stay at this location again! Great Family Vacation Spot!!

The house was fantastic and the pool was amazing! We had a total of 6 of us, including 2 grandparents and 2 children and everyone had more than enough room. The pool even has a little shallow sitting area where my 3 year old could play with an adult nearby if she didn't want to go in the big pool area. The hot tub was a nice addition too! We had an issue with a toilet upon arrival and Dan was super responsive and came over to address the issue quickly. He was very attentive to our needs and very friendly! The house has a short walk to the beach and the beach was never crowded. The views from the top balcony were also really great and our little dog loved sitting out there each day with us! I highly recommend this house for a relaxing family vacation that everyone can enjoy! Thanks, Dan!!

Salter Path vacation

The location has one of the best oceans views on the island. the house was very clean. The pool was one of the best features of the house. The only recommendation I would make is that the kitchen and bathrooms do need an upgrade.

I have been in the eastern Carolina area for over 30 years having been bought here via the US Marine Corps back in 1989. I have since lived in GA and NC with my wife, but now make our home for at least half of the year, here on our wonderful outer banks island.

Ocean Panorama lives up to its name, even though I have owned this property for almost 10 years now, I still cannot get over the incredible views of the ocean and sound from main living area of this home. The beach is essentially private with very little traffic on this part of the beach due to the Roosevelt Preserve that you can see in the pictures. This gives a wonderful private almost deserted feel to the beach. There are of course other people on the beach, but even on the 4th of July this is very slightly populated. The short walk to the beach and the private pool and spa makes this a wonderful place for family and friends.
