Coastal Retreat on Waterway w/Hot Tub

Quaint 3 bdrm 2 ba home situated on the intracoastal waterway. Want to go to the beach but don't want to be in the mainstream of it all? We are close enough but far enough. Enjoy tranquil moon lit nights listening to dolphins as they swim by. By day, lounge on the porch, pergola, hot tub or dock and watch the parade of boats pass by. For the fishing enthusiasts an array of fish can be caught from the dock to incl, sheep's head, flounder, puppy drum, speckled trout, blue fish, crabs and more.

This beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath waterfront home is located on the intracoastal waterway. If you love boating this is the place to view boats of all sorts and sizes to include multi-million dollar luxury yachts to barges over 200 ft long. This section of the waterway connects the Pamilco Sound to the Atlantic Ocean. The designer kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances to include gas cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, water filter faucet and USB outlets in bar. The livingroom offers a gas fireplace for cool nights and TV with Bose surround sound. The master bedroom features a king bed and private full bath. For those that have Verizon cell service we have a Verizon cell service extender, so you'll enjoy 4 to 5 bars of service! Say hey to the neighborhood dog Lucy. She's sure to pay you a visit.

The entire home with the exception of one closet. The garage is locked and will not available for guest access. There is a community pool. To access the pool you would have to buy a pass at the Marina. The pass is $10 per day.

While we wont be there in person we are a phone call away. Please don't hesitate to call us at any hour for emergencies.

The home is located in the Sea Gate Community which features a marina, boat dock, boat storage/slips, auto/marine fuel and convenient store. There is also a play ground and community pool available.

Home has a Verizon cell phone extender.

Restful retreat on the river

We and our small dog had a wonderful time! Greg was a great host, very good communication. The screened porch overlooking the river was the highight! We saw dolphins, pelicans, ospreys and boats.

Peaceful getaway

Very cute home in a very peaceful area. The view of the waterway and access to a marina perfect as well. Home is well kept, and everything needed for a comfortable stay is there.

Beautiful House!

The hosts were amazing from check in to check out, calling and messaging to make sure everything was good. The house is beautiful, very well equipped, and was very clean. We were provided with ample linens and towels. The dock by the intracoastal waterway was a great place to fish and it was cool to watch the boats go by. Overall it was a great place to stay!

Relaxation Paradise

Nice home in a great location on the water. The home has everything you could possibly need It is close enough to Beaufort but far enough from all the crowds and traffic. We enjoyed fishing from the dock when we were not out in our boat on the water.

Hidden Gem!

Snuggled back on a quiet creek! Excellent home with all the amenities you could ask for! Short boat ride to Beaufort and Morehead. Nice marina only a block away to launch your boat. Home was very clean and relaxing, wonderful place to stay!

Relaxing Weekend

My wife and I enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend with a couple of friends watching the boats go by from the covered dock. The location is great, the house was clean and well stocked and the host was a pleasure to work with.

Wonderful stay

This property was so nice! As a family of four with two littles we had so much space and such a fun time. Watching all the boats go by was definitely a hit. The neighbors were very quiet-we didn’t even realize we were next to anyone. Will definitely visit again.

Outdoor Oasis Tucked Away in Peaceful Area

We really enjoyed our time at this rental property. The home was very clean and well stocked. The outdoor areas were our favorite part. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, fishing from the dock, and watching the boats. A highlight was seeing a pair of dolphins swim by.

The property was very nice, as advertised. Beach access was very convenient. Everyone loved the hot tub and heated pool. Only negative(minor) was that the water pressure in the showers was restricted by the low flow showerheads. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Perfect location!

House was perfect location for our visit to surrounding areas. Came home to a cocktail on the deck watching the intracoastal boat traffic. Enjoyed coffee in the morning on the screened in porch. Enjoyed a visit from a neighbor dog looking for treats (very friendly). We hated to leave!

A lil slice of heaven

This property was so beautiful and peaceful. Such a quaint and quiet place to relax and enjoy God’s creation. We loved sitting out on the dock and watching the boats go in and out. We will definitely be going back. It is close enough to eating and shopping yet far enough away to be a retreat. We absolutely loved it!!!!

Off the beaten path

We really enjoyed the Coastal Retreat. The community is very quiet and private but a short drive from anything you want to see or do. Preferred to sit outside all day (Choices of gazebo, pergola, hot tub, screened porch) and enjoy the waterway. The home was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully furnished room including kitchen supplies, linens, towels, etc for a relaxing stay

Great property with wonderful fishing off the dock

We had a fabulous time at this property. We enjoyed fishing off the covered dock. We caught puffer fish, sheepshead, drum, crab and spotted trout. We loved sitting on the screened porch. We also loved the hot tub, and the propane fire pit/table. The new crab pots were a big hit with our teenager. We even saw dolphins on our last morning. We also had a great time in Beaufort which is quite close. We look forward to our next visit.

Beaufort Beauty !!!

I can not say enough good things about this property!! The house was immaculate & decorated so pretty, makes u feel like u are in paradise !!! Everything u need in the kitchen or really the entire house has been provided for u. Greg & Tammy are 5 star hosting & even reached out to us prior to our stay to verbally welcome us to their home & also gave us some pointers about places to see & dine out at while we were there. I highly recommend this property if u want to spoil yourself !!! I know that we will certainly be staying again !!!

Getaway Beach Trip

This cottage was extremely cozy. Lovely comfortable beds, excellent equipped kitchen, perfect for the ones who love to cook. Very thoughtful little things that we needed included, like coffee, spices, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oils etc. The location was peaceful and off the beaten track, non-touristy, which was perfect for us! Screened in porch was my favorite spot, dock was lovely our boys enjoyed fishing there. Hot tub was the greatest! Highly recommend staying here, it was above and beyond! Super lovely, friendly and helpful hosts! We had a blast! Thank you for everything! :)

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I had a great long weekend at this Coastal Retreat to celebrate our 38th Anniversary. Greg and Tammy surprised us leaving Yellow Roses and a card at the entrance. The location was great. Outside of Beaufort with quaint shops and great restaurants. We enjoyed our waterfront dock/deck watching the boats on the ICW. There were 2 new crab pots. We baited those and caught 7 crabs. We also fished and caught small croakers. We toured Beaufort and visited the Old Burying Ground. We plan to return in the fall or the spring. A great place to stay.

We choose this home in Newport due to its close proximity to Beaufort and Morehead City yet far enough away to avoid mainstream traffic. We have created so many great memories at our Coastal Retreat we decided to share this property with hopes you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

Perfectly situated on the intra-coastal waterway. The home is cozy and scenic with views of the dolphins and bait fish that go up and down the water way as well as the boat traffic. We also enjoy the beach, fishing and boating.
