This perfect getaway is located on a private wooded lot and in a private lake community. A short drive takes you to many different attractions. Some include the adorable and historic town of Jim Thorpe, Galen Glen Winery, Bushkill Falls, Boulder Field, JackFrost, BigBoulder, & Camelback ski resorts, The H2Ooooh Water park at Split Rock Resort, and so much more!

Cabin in the woods

Everything about this property was perfect for our needs! Communication was great, location was near the places that we wanted to explore. Perfect size for 3 people and our family dog..would definitely stay again.

Relaxing Stay

Nice little house very comfortable and relaxing. Easy check-in and had everything we needed. House is nice and private and located at a perfect spot. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future. The only thing that the owners may want to think about is updating the living room furniture especially the one recliner which is very worn and loose. This did not bother us since it was only two of us we did not use it anyway.The house was very cozy!! Very much enjoyed our stay.

Our wkend getaway

Overall, we loved staying at this cute cozy and relaxing cabin. It was definitely needed and would love to come back again with our daughter. The owners were quick to respond and so kind. I loved Jim Thorpe!

Relaxing weekend at the Cozy Cabin

We had a great weekend get away. The cabin was perfect for our family of 3. We went to Hickory Run State Park and checked out the boulder field and we did a couple hiking trails. The one trail led you to see Hawk Falls. Both were great experiences for our 9 year old. We also spent a lot of time by the fire and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere and wildlife.

NICE AND COZY

I wanted something out of the way in backwoods so we could get a lil alone time and break from the city and unwind! All thats what I got the property owner is amazing open communication and understanding and has a wonderful personality. The wild life was friendly my daughter loved it

Nice dated cabin in woods

The cabin was fine for what we needed. It was mostly clean but had A LOT of random nick nacks and stuff on the walls collecting dust. The bathroom and carpeting was pretty dated. The outdoor fire pit was nice. We saw a ton of deer which was cool.

Anniversary Trip

Our first trip to Jim Thorpe and we loved it! The cabin made a perfect “home base” for us and our pup as we explored the area. Was comfortable, well appointed, and in a great central location. Communication with owner was easy and pleasant. Future guests note: older pictures on listing - we anticipated a coffee pot but cabin has a keurig instead. BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS AND SHEETS. I almost missed that before our trip. :) Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

This house was very nicely decorated and nicely supplied for cooking. The living room furniture was super comfortable and encouraged gathering. Wifi/TV/DVD/and even videotapes were available. Kids books were in one bedroom. Clearly, a great place for dogs because of tethers by the door and a big, open wooded area behind the house. The only reasons I rated it good instead of excellent is that the house seemed a bit musty and carpets were aging and had a mild odor. Although all the appliances and bed and bathroom were clean, the house needed a dehumidifier and some updated carpets to feel clean. Perhaps that's because the house was in the woods and because it rained one day, so take that impression with weather in mind. Note that the lake that is mentioned in the profile is currently closed because of contamination (Aug. 9). Some of the instructions sent to us were out of date, such as needing lake passes and dump permits. The queen bed is very soft, so you're in luck if that's the way you like it. Overall, if you are picturing yourself going to a cabin with the kids and the dog, and you like a place that feels like home without needing anything fancy, this is a good place to go -- and priced accordingly.

The perfect getaway cabin for the weekend with the family. It was the perfect distance from Jim Thorpe. It was also close to Hickory Run and Lehigh Gorge State Parks which we also visited. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful area BUT this place has a mice infestation and so we cut our stay short. We smelled them as soon as we entered. Then they came for our food and left droppings in the kitchen. Really sad that the owners knew of this problem but claimed that an exterminator and acknowledged that the problem hadn’t been fixed. We were worried about risks to our dog’s health due to leptospirosis, parasites etc. So disappointed as we had really wanted to visit Jim Thorpe.

My wife and I had an amazing stay here! Cabin was as nice as advertised. Only 20 minutes from down town Jim Thorpe, and from several different hiking trails. If you are looking for a nice, clean, cozy cabin to stay in to experience everything Jim Thorpe has to offer, this is it!
