Summary:

The R&K Retreat is just that - a beautiful retreat for you to enjoy when vacationing in southern Utah! Located centrally to Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon, you'll find our townhome the perfect spot for your family or friends, accommodating up to 8 adults. Our townhome is one of the desirable end units that features a larger living room, kitchen, dining room, master bed and bathroom than other townhomes in the complex. Surrounded by hiking trails and offering a community pool and hot tub!



The Space:

When you enter the townhome, you'll be greeted with the large living room, comfortable seating, on-demand gas fireplace and huge smart TV. There is a half bathroom downstairs in the hallway and there are 2 full bathrooms upstairs.



Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need to prepare all your favorite meals and even cook out with the gas grill on the patio. The dining area seats 6 at the table and 2 at the kitchen counter. Kitchen items include a blender, cookie sheet, cake pan, toaster, mixing bowls, cutting board, rice maker, pots and pans.



Our outdoor patio opens onto greenspace and provides you easy access to the community amenities including an indoor fitness center, outdoor seasonal pool and hot tub. Start your mornings with coffee on the patio and end your day with a glass of wine under the stars.



Our townhome is fully stocked with bathroom essentials, kitchen and laundry products.



The townhome has 3 bedrooms upstairs. The spacious master bedroom has a queen-size bed, ensuite bathroom with a garden tub and shower. The first guest bedroom has a queen bed and there are two twin beds in the third guest bedroom. You'll find a double sleeper sofa in the living room. There are nightstands, luggage racks and large closets to store all your things.



If you're working, schooling or entertaining, our ultra-fast fiber optic connected 1GB Wi-Fi will keep everyone connected without slowdowns or interruptions.

•The pool is seasonal, so please check with us for current dates of availability

•The weather needs to be 70 degrees or higher for three consecutive days before the pool can be open

•Please ensure all pool towels are returned to the home before checking out to avoid additional charges. *Pool towels: $20 each

•Hot tub is open year-round



Please make sure to put the pool key back in its original place once you are done using it. If you lose the pool key it is a $250 FEE to replace it.



Parking:

Vehicles must be parked in lined spaces and within those lines. Several complaints have been received that vehicles are occupying two or more stalls, parking is occurring in undesignated areas (areas that are not lined for parking stalls), etc. We ask that guests and residents park in the designated spaces properly to allow parking for everyone. Zip's Towing will be tagging vehicles that are parked inappropriately for possible towing if the parking violation is not corrected in a timely manner. Thank you for your cooperation!



The Neighborhood:

R&K Retreat is located in Kanab's beautiful neighborhood, El Pueblo. El Pueblo offers a lot for the family. As mentioned, there's a community gym, pool and hot tub. It is very important to read and follow all the rules for your family's safety. Failure to do so could result in a revocation of clubhouse privileges. Please be respectful.



Note: Most GPS Systems will not take you to the correct address. Please search on "El Pueblo Townhomes" in Kanab, UT.



There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops. We love some of the local tour companies; they can make your travel time far more productive and enjoyable. Many of them even offer early morning pick-ups from Kanab.



Equestrian and biking trails are also available.



Getting Around:

This home is near downtown and has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, as well as the north rim of the Grand Canyon.



Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places.



Page, AZ airport is 1 hour away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3 hours away.



Other Things to Note:

Cancellations Terms: Please be advised there is a 3% cancellation fee regardless of the cancellation date. This cancellation policy does not apply to HVMB guests.



For the safety of our property and our guests, we have security cameras installed on the outside of the property. Again, please make sure to put the pool key back in its original place once you are done using it. If you lose the pool key it is a $250 FEE to replace it.

Kanab is situated in the "Grand Circle" area and known as the "Hub of the Parks", centrally located among Zion National Park (30 miles), Bryce Canyon National Park (77 miles), the Grand Canyon (North Rim - 80 miles). You can also visit Pipe Springs National Monument (21 miles), the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (15 miles), Vermilion Cliffs National Monument (77 miles), Coral Pink Sand Dunes (20 miles), Kodachrome Basin (93 miles), Lake Powell/Glen Canyon Recreation Area (75 miles), the "Wave"/Paria Wilderness (50 miles), Horseshoe Bend (77 miles), Cedar Breaks National Monument (65 miles) and so much more. Please note mileage is approximate and may vary by a few miles.
