Beautiful Custom Built Timber Frame Home, Sleeps 11

This custom-designed 3000 sq. ft. Timber frame home was built in 2007 and offers a wonderful setting to bring family and friends together. It is situated on a private, wooded lot 12 minutes from Mount Snow and 5 minutes from picturesque downtown Wilmington. It is also located 1/4 mile from the Lake Raponda boat launch and 3/4 mile from the lake's beach and swimming area.
This home really flows with an open floor plan, perfect for get togethers of family and friends. Hardwood floors throughout, lots of windows & skylights, a majestic Great Room, a beautiful Fieldstone fireplace w/ a 48' hearth, a 4-seat breakfast bar, and an 8-person dining room table. The bathrooms are beautifully finished w/ over sized glass shower doors and the Master bath has a large 2-person Jacuzzi-jetted hot tub.

The renovated basement has 9' ceilings, an extra bedroom and a full bathroom. The basement also has a wood stove, ping-pong table, and additional beds for sleeping.

All beds have BRAND NEW pillow-top and Stearns & Foster mattresses, as of Aug. 2021.

Theater-sized 75" Smart TV with sound bar in the Great Room.

There is also a great outdoor, dug-in fire pit on the lower lawn for summertime smores and campfire fun.

Home offers 4 bedrooms with beautiful, full bathrooms on all 3 floors.

Chef’s Kitchen with full amenities including:

• Vitamix Blender

• Two 16 cup Cuisinart coffee makers
• Chef’s knives set

As a summer rental, this is the perfect place to hang out with friends. The house and deck are great for entertaining. With clear skies you have great views for the star gazers. The Wilmington area was fun to explore. Some of the restaurants were closed earlier in the week but there were plenty of places to grab a quick bite. Of course, you can always pick up groceries at Shaws. It was a great place to relax!

The Gaffney Chalet was an ideal spot for our extended family to meet and enjoy rural Vermont. The kitchen was very well equipped(better than most rentals, in our experience), beds were comfortable and the grounds and views were great. We had a couple rainy days out of the five days we spent , but with lots of natural light, roomy interior, and board games for the kids we had a great time together. The Chalet is within easy reach of a lot of interesting spots to explore: maple sugar operations, hiking trails, waterfalls and historical sites. Highly recommended!

Only problem was that the property hadn't been cleaned from the previous stay... bathrooms not cleaned, floors dirty, beds not made. We contacted the owner and he was very apologetic. Since he lives in another state he was unaware of the issue with his cleaners. He refunded some money and we did the cleaning ourselves the rest of the week went smoothly and the property is beautiful, quiet with all the amenities we wanted

This house was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful house and property, great for a group setting, cozy fireplace, fun hill in the yard for sledding during the winter time too!

Overall stay was great. Our young kids really enjoyed the sledding in the back. The property was private and plentiful amenities with no need to travel anywhere.

Great stay! The fireplace was wonderful and views perfect. Overall, was exactly what we were looking for with our ski weekend with friends. The kids enjoyed the table tennis in the basement. The host was incredibly communicative which was very helpful to us.

Stunning post and beam home with great views. Spacious main floor - and still entirely cozy. Extremely well equipped kitchen and home in general. Master bedroom and bath are enormous. 2nd floor bedrooms nice but less spacious. Basement bedroom nice with open family room, high step up to bathroom. Had an issue upon arrival but owner responded immediately and resolved it right away. Owner was very accessible, polite and helpful.We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would consider staying again.

My family had a wonderful time at the house. We gathered in the very spacious beautiful living room by the fire in the evenings and played games. The kitchen was well stocked, spacious and comfortable to move around in. We loved playing ping pong in the downstairs room. Everyone slept great as the location is on a quiet road. The house is very close to the town, restaurants, shopping and fun!!

The house is beautiful and has a gorgeous view, especially at night of the stars. Michael was super responsive with a couple of questions we had on logistics and supplies to bring. We would highly recommend staying there and will probably book again in the future.

Wonderful Wilmington VT home

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home in Wilmington, VT. Close to the lake, town, and hiking with gorgeous views. Home was extremely clean, well maintained and comfortable. Would definitely go back!

Winter getaway

Mike’s home was perfect for our annual cousins ski/snowboard weekend. The house was just as described and supplied with everything we needed. The backyard was an awesome bonus with a perfect sledding hill for the kids and adults! We had a great stay and plan to be back each year!
