This single story home wraps around a large fenced in back yard encompassing 1/3 of an acre of lush, mature landscaping with big windows and high vaulted ceilings. Neighbors on only two sides of the property make it super private. We bought this house because we love the location. It's close enough to walk to the beach yet far enough away to avoid all the the beach traffic and noise. The location makes it easy to get in and out of La Jolla. There is a little bit of road noise from La Jolla parkway. The house is located on Ardath road, which is a dead end road, not a busy street. The home is set back far enough from the road to create a privacy barrier and block most of the sound.

Wonderful family vacation

We had a wonderful relaxing time and enjoyed the house and the beautiful backyard. This is the second time we stayed in the house and the location is centrally located to the beach and other points of interest.

Home from Home

Lovely family home accommodated our group of 6. Owners very responsive to our messages. Enjoyed the spaciousness and comforts of home. Just some traffic noise, but location was convenient and a short drive to the beach.

This is such a beautiful home. It has a larger plot than most in the area. Been staying here pretty much every year. The owners are so responsive and a pleasure to do business with.

We had the best stay in La Jolla. This home is beautiful and comfortable. We had four adults and six kids... and had plenty of space. We enjoyed several meals cooked in the well stocked kitchen and ate in the back yard with ample space to dine and play. It's a fifteen minute walk to a great beach and the owners left boogie boards and beach towels which was so nice! We were in town for a soccer tournament and the location was spectacular to the fields. Next trip we will absolutely stay here again.

I love this house. One of the most spacious and accommodating in LA Jolla that I have rented. My family come back often. The owner, Susan, is wonderful and always available to answer any questions.

Spacious home just a short drive from beach

This home was perfect for our family of 7. There was plenty of room inside and out to enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather. The drive to the beach and other points of interest was quick. Communication with the hose was easy and timely. We’d definitely stay here again on our next visit to San Diego.

Perfect vacation home in La Jolla

Perfect home and location for a getaway in La Jolla. Home was clean, well stocked and spacious. The backyard is large with a very nice patio for outdoor living. Short walk to La Jolla Shores and 10 min drive to La Jolla Village and Cove. Susan was an excellent and responsive host. Definitely a place to come back to in the future.

Excellent location and amenities

This home is well equipped with luxury amenities to give you a great experience. The location in La Jolla is close to many daytime activities as well as nightlife, while also being secluded enough to enjoy privacy. Susan was a great host as well. She was very communicative and available to answer our questions. We couldn't have asked for more!

Great house for a group of 6-8!

There are 4 different large common areas in the house and yard for group interaction - the place is much bigger than it looks. Love the inside/outside vibe. Fenced backyard for dog/kids. Beds very comfy. Every bedroom has its own climate control and TV. And don’t get me started on the toilets … love them!

La Jolla Gem

This home with its back and front yards was a beautiful environment for my family to relax in. The weather caused some indoor time. The kitchen, furniture and beds provided a comfy feel so we could enjoy good food and conversation. Susan, our host was quickly responsive and helpful throughout our long weekend. The home is within walking distance to the beach and shopping. We had a great time and will return again.

Amazing backyard in great location

Overall we really enjoyed the property. The house was in a quiet area but close to La Jolla Shores and the Cove. The backyard was awesome. We lived out there. Some of the furnishings are a bit worn and stained but the house overall was very clean. The 4th bedroom is separate from the main house with no bathroom out there.

Beautiful home. Exactly what I would do in my own home. Large, well kept. Stunning yard. Bonus....heated toilet seats..yes...upgrades in the bathrooms. I would highly recommend. Location is very good. It was a pleasure to stay and if you select this property you will not be disappointed.

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay at this spacious home with beautiful back yard. The private lane was nice as there was no traffic going back and forth by driveway. Back yard felt like we were in Hawaii - quiet and beautiful vegetation with lots of room to relax and watch our grandsons play. Our group had 6 adults and 2 children so this 4 bedroom home was perfect. One of our favorite things was the amazing toilets with heated seats and rinse options. Wow! Thinking we might need those in our own home. : ) Thank you to McCasland's for sharing your lovely home with us. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Lovely La Jolla Home

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The backyard was an oasis for both adults and kids. The house is arranged for indoor/outdoor living, which is perfect for the San Diego area. It’s such a spacious home, we could spread out or simply gather in the family room. It’s so nicely appointed, and the location is so convenient to everything. Our adult children all agreed this home was the best vacation home we have ever rented. We choose vacation rentals 4 or 5 times a year, where we can gather as a family and reconnect and let our grandchildren play together. This home in La Jolla was the perfect choice. The neighborhood is lovely and very quiet. We will certainly plan to stay again.

Comfortable and big enough for the entire family

There were 7 adults and two small granddaughters, ages 2 and 6, that stayed in this house for one week. We also had our two small Cavalier King Charles dogs too. It was definitely big enough for the entire family and we did not get in each other's way unless we wanted to. Dinner was in the back yard every night and breakfast was sitting the the kitchen nook. I have two Chefs in the family and they were happy with the cooking utensils. The dogs enjoyed the run of the yard, which was completely fenced in with a large amount of grass. The walk to the beach only took about 20 minutes, but it sure beats driving in the the traffic. Communication with the owner was simple and friendly. Thanks again for a great vacation.

I'm a Cal Poly, SLO Graduate with a BS degree in Business Administration. I worked as a Wine Specialist for Gallo Wine Company and Young's Market Company before getting married and having two kids. I took some time off to raise my family, I work full time managing eight homes we own on Maui and one home inLa Jolla, CA.

My husband Troy and I started out with two vacation rentals in Mission Beach, San Diego, California in 1994. We have been in the Vacation Rental Industry for 27 years and understand what it takes to make guests happy and run a smooth operation.

My goal is to have you open the door, and go Wow, this place is amazing! I pay special attention to every detail: Interior design, furnishing, amenities, cleanliness, landscaping, kitchen supplies, and customer service.

I love staying in vacation rentals when we travel with the family on ski trips or abroad, but when I'm with my hubby on short business trips we stay at W Hotels. The W is my inspiration.
